• Crop Mode: All Borders
*rest is default

Quick Menu > Core Options > Advanced Settings:
• CD-ROM Async Readahead: 32 Sectors (213KB / 64ms)
• CPU Overclocking: 300% (this is what made the stable 60 FPS possible, adjust up to 500% not more than that otherwise i found that the bios wont boot)
• turn every toggler on in this section

important

Last but not least, add this code for 60 FPS wth Tire Smoke etc:

Create Text/Notepad, add the below code:

cheats = 1
cheat0_code = "D00B6348 0002+800B6348 0001+D002E548 0002+8002E548 0000+D002E54A 2842+8002E54A 3402"
cheat0_desc = "60 FPS w/ Tire Smoke"
cheat0_enable = "false"

code is courtesy of this thread by Lee Der

save as: GT1-60FPS.cht
save to: C:\RetroArch-Win64\cheats (or wherever you installed Retroarch)

or you can download the GT1-60FPS.cht.zip attached here

now go to:
Quick Menu > Core Options > Cheats:
• Load Cheat File (Append): GT1-60FPS.cht
• Turn on the 60 FPS gameshark code
• Apply Changes
