Just post my best lap of 8:38.201 and come out top find a load of morons are ruining the fun for everyone else.

Hopefully PD can sort it without closing the time trial as I don't think I can replicate that lap again (though, I doubt it).

I really sympathize with you guys, I really do. I know exactly how you feel. I remember running a TT at Laguna Seca a while back. I had put in a ton of time and effort only to have it all go down the drain because some monkees decided it was cool to use part of pit road as a short cut to gain top times on the leaderboard. The event was shut down and all my time and effort went down the drain. So yes, I know how it feels.

9.04, could have done much better but tried to do a clean and easy lap. I think I could shave of between the 10 and maybe 20 seconds if i go all out and dont go out of course. Paying on ds3, anybody under the 8.40 is straight up a master at this and the ring in general. Anybody know what the fastest ds3 time is btw?

Wow this sucks! Just got to 184 and only to find 8 glitched / hacked times!

This was up there with the fun / frustrating aspect and would of liked to take it to the count down timer! Dang annoying cheaters !

annoying that i keep throwing away a 8:37 or 8:38! Had to back down a bit to get into 8:39.153! Still some errors to clean up

Thats unfortunate. Try logging out and then go back into the event and see iff it gives it to you then. Thats about the only thing I can think of to do in your situation. Sorry to hear about that tho.

It will eventually be revealed and depending on the how they are capable of doing it the TT will mostly be shut down. Few nut headed users will be baned and who knows if they managed to find a crack in the graphics like the old route 11 thingy.

We shall wait and see.

I think it may be something to do with the two lines that are at the start/finish line, I haven't tried it but it looks as if all they are doing is crossing the first line without passing the second one and then turning round and for some reason the system isn't detecting the fact that they just did a 360 rather than go round the whole track.

19 cheats now... This time trial is so frustrating, got to the end of the straight on a really good lap and then cocked it up under braking (clipped the grass) and have not actually got a whole lap in yet! It is annoying me as I'm normally quite good on the 'ring (and going slower is not an option )

Half the car was positioned between the lines correct and I noticed a glitchy graphics just after the finish line while looking at the replay.
Something like two black mesh lines im not sure I was kind of sleepy from the GTR diesel engine sound at the time and driven a lot

Edit: usually when a lap has ended in the replay theatre it will start again did not noticed it looping maybe because it was less than half a second lol

I watched the one that was about 10 seconds as that gave the clearest view of what they were doing 👍

0:00.033 is the first place time. Wow! I seriously feel very sorry for those who really put their hearts out on this and see that this TT got ruined. PD might just close it all together. Just deleting their times will only make more people do it. 👎

Ffs I've done 5000 kilometers on the TT with a time of 8min 36 annoying cuase hated track and never raced it and didn't know it. Heck after that's amount kilometers i still don't know it 100% and the lines. Illd be ashamed on leaderborad cheating guess ppl just wanted easy money and car . Chumps!!!

The thing is, it probably took them longer to work out this glitch than it would have to set a gold lap time. It's a shame that the minority have ruined it for the majority. 👎

Shaping up to be a pretty close TT here. Four people tied for 1st with a .033 with another one right behind them with a .034. Pretty close battle I'd say. I wonder if .020's are possible. Going to be exciting to see how this one shakes out.

My daughter decided to give this TT a try. She was up on her ghost by .029 but she got nervouse and blew it at the finish line. I guess it was that tricky right-hander there at the line.

Of course the plan is to drive slower than usual so as to get a ghost to chase/overtake. Once you have a ghost (not one of the 1st 10 ones which you'll only see for a brief moment) which is closer to your ability you can find where to speed up and attack the track, even throw caution to the wind occasionally as you improve your times.

And you will improve your times, I can just about guarantee it.

Y'know, I never EVER thought to use a ghost car like that! Gonna put that advice to use tonight!

Hope it works for you, it does for me. On very long tracks like this one a ghost is all important, I always hated the lack of a ghost in the Special Events races where one only gets the time put up at different stages of the race.

Yeah, getting honored because your PSN ID gets listed in a ranking list on gran-turismo.com No, of course there's not. It's weird how people get upset about their time spent not paying off if others cheat for better rankings... they get the same in-game rewards as every other player who achieves a 'gold' time, and in two weeks, pretty much nobody will care about those ranks anyway.

Its not about the rewards. Its about getting the top spot and then having some cheaters come by and take that away from you. Furthermore, if you put in loads of time and effort, and then having the event shut down because of these cheaters, it just feels like a waste. So no, it is not weird. And its not about the rewards. I for one, could care less about the rewards really. Its about having your spot on the leaderboard and not being pushed back 20 spots because of the cheaters. Also, you would be surprised at how many people go back and check out the final standings of each TT.
