"Hi there, would you be cool with us using your made up box art as uh... our real GT5 box art?cool, thanks in advance 👍"
I'm no Nurb fanboy, I've never seen that image all over the net (haven't looked), and so for me, the very reason for its simplicity gets my vote. It looks fantastic, so what's wrong what that? Isn't part of the creative process actually looking around for inspiration and seeing what would and wouldn't work as a box art image? Out of all the thousands of pictures of the Nurb out there, this one was picked for a very precise reason. But to all you Nurburgring fanboys:
Do you really believe that a cut and paste single layer image is going to be the next Gran Turismo cover? This image of the Nurburging is all over the internet, as a cover I say that it lacks creativity and most importantly it lacks originality. Also I don't think any company would release there product without at least a hint to suggest they made it!
I don't mean for my following comments to be taken in a disrespectful way, as I do respect the creator of this case for there entry. Hey you spent the time to submit an entry and give it a go.👍

Then there is always the lack of basics such as the 'mark-of-GT', always there, blue & red 'GT' logo . This logo has been on every Gran Turismo game cover since the beggining of the series...I seriously doubt they are planning on removing it for GT5.
No offence to the original submitter of this case design, because I do agree with everyone that this photo of the Nurburgring is a brilliant shot. But I have to adamantly disagree with it as the sole cover based representation of a somewhat special and prestigous title as Gran Turismo.
Ok...feel free to flame and carry on..as I know some of you will, but pleeeeasssse...have some substantial argument to your case as opposed to just meaningless demonstrations of idiocy.

I rather think this thread is about the concept of the cover rather than the logo's which will be there anyway. I didn't have the new logo, so I posted a black one. Who cares.
There was one with damage posted I think. And why is there all this whining about the PD logo. I think Polyphony Digital will get it on the right place without you arguing over it. Sheesh. Im not arguing, i just wanted to clarify it a bit.^^
I do agree that the use of something other than a car for the cover was a great idea. However regarding the PD logo as having minor significants is deluded to me.Well, taking a strait shot from the internet is not all that original but that particular shot is very artistic and really shows off one of the worlds most famous race circuits in stunning fashion. The ring has been a big part of the GT series and is arguable the most coveted track. This shot could also be recreated in GT5 if GT5 has a photomode and night racing. So in theory the exact shot could come from GT5. It is more the idea of the picture not the picture itself. Also GT covers have always had cars on them, the fact that this is a track is original in its own way. Things like the PD logo are really quite minor. To me the picture just works.
I don't think so, I wrote up a post but the Login prompt screwed it...as a result I lost my post...was not a happy moment.NominoSeems like Rusty* has decided to crawl under a rock after that last post regarding the lack of originality in the Nurb cover...
