listen, you want comfort? Well, that is very difficult. Ask yourself this: Have the past GT's disappointed you? Is GT more than just another racing game? How much confidence do you have in PD's ability to create a great automotive experience?

I am a car lover, I breathe cars and racing through and through; but that's not important.

Answer those question for yourself and you'll see where you stand and whether or not you're really who you think you are...well, concerning GT that is!

Gran Turismo is a game,
Hopefully it won't be very lame.
When it comes out,
Everybody will want to shout.

It will have 1,000 cars,
And the damage might give you scars.
Made by Mr Yamouchi,
Who might be in the park right now, walking his poochie.

We're expecting news at E3 2010,
I'll be ready with my notepad and pen.
We'll probably get a release date,
Then we'll know how long we have to wait.

Gran Turismo 5,
Gets people more anxious than standing under a buzzing beehive.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist :dunce:

It's just a game. I like racing games. Nothing deep or meaningful about it to be honest!

Alright, I can certainly understand that.

For me though, it is an entirely different beast. I have loved cars since I was a kid and still do. The car itself represents excitement for me; their shapes, the smells, their sounds. There is nothing like a great driving road and a great car to sit in. I often take my Lantis out for a drive through the dunes and a winding road...nothing can beat that.

GT was the first game to respect the simple philosophy of an automotive lover: it celebrates everything they stand for, be it a supercar or a more affordable one.

I often go to races (I did this easter which was simply AWESONE; I went to the Zandvoort circuit to watch the GT4 races; formula Ford, Diesel Cup, Seat cup and many more!) and do some racing myself. I have even planned on getting my racing license in a few years.

In GT5P I loved to just simply look at the car models; to see the detail and effort PD put into it. I read every piece of car history in previous GT's and the PSP version.

So to me GT is simply a complement to my way of life; it is so much more than just a driving game to me. I guess you're either someone like me or someone like you; which is obviously fine, but it just goes to show how different our approach is.

As a person I have many interests; music, food, law (studying law at the university in Leiden), cars, racing and many more. I have so many great memories with the GT series throughout the years; nothing can come close to what GT offers, at least for me that is ;)

OMG, im reading about Killzone 3, and people saying that This E3 will be explosive again for the PS3...could it be like last year's E3, Every game had lots of information except GT5 :scared:

IGN are only saying what people on here have speculated regarding gt5 being released along with 3D tv's. It loses credability by mentioning the words Sony and soon in the same sentence.

Actually I'm a pretty sad that he is banned (am I the only one ???...)
Because if this guy is talking based on some inside information that he can't use currently due to PD/Sony limitations, then when the real & official news will start to rise the surface we could have get a lot of inside information from him.
Maybe he just wanted to get us prepared of what is coming and the forum judged him too quickly.

I think (and ask) that maybe some of the moderators could un-banned him BUT send him a private messages warnings that he shall not keep writing those posts until he could give us some proof of what he is saying. Until then he can just watch the posts.

What do you think?

I think the moderators know what they're doing and there is more to it than you and I can see, maybe a previously banned member returning with a new username or anything.

A lot of these quotes from Sony are from the gametrailers tv interview in the last episode. It's Jack Trenton pretty much talking all about E3.

It's worth a watch, when they are talking about E3 they are constantly showing GT5. Even though they don't mention it specifically.

Can't post link as I'm on iPhone.

It's www.gametrailers.com though, look got the GTTV link on the left.

Time to learn how to copy & paste on the iPhone.👍

If, could, maybe... Those are your answers right there. He made no attempt to communicate other than through stupid poetry, gave no evidence to back up his claims (it's his job to prove to us he is legit, not for us to disprove it), and generally said nothing that we don't already know or want to hear.

What do I think? I think that some people are too quick to latch onto anything that sounds remotely positive about GT5. Just wait until the official news arrives, because nothing he said, true or not, is going to change the timescales involves.

If he has a first gen iPhone i think he cant.
Im pumped for this E3, not because of GT5, but because of everything else, i hope they wont concentrate too much on Move though.

EDIT: I still think "Gran Turismo 5"s posts were at least entertaining.

OK, enough iPhone/iPad chat guys, there is a general tech forum here if you want to continue:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=64

Throwing in references to racing games on the platform does not count!

And what exactly did that post contribute towards the thread??

There was a link to E3 news on my one.

I may have not worded it very well, but if you click the link its some details about E3 from gametrailers.

FFS, yeah, real original response there, "what did that contribute?". Back at ya' fella', loop ad infinitum I'm sure. My post was not aimed directly at you, and you know it. I simply implied that iPhone chat should be moved to the correct forum. If you find that personally offensive, that's not my problem.

You get that a lot then do ya?
No, it's just a very common thing you see in forums when, for whatever reason, people take personal offence at being asked to do something reasonable, without insult, and yet all they are mentally capable of doing is responding back with unoriginal counter arguments. I assume in an attempt to impress other forum members, but the fact is, you'd get more respect if you just accepted the request and got on with life instead of perpetuating things even further.

Look, you can do what you want, say what you want, and get reported accordingly. Just take it to PM if you feel the need to get personal.

Remember the beta codes for supercar challenge? Do you think that something similar will happen with gt5?
While I wouldn't put it past PD to release another public demo prior to the release of the full game, I'm not sure we'll get beta codes. Still, never say never.

I have been emailed with some codes to download demos from the psstore before they were released to public(Motorstorm 2 and God of War 3). I really hope i (or at least someone in this forum) get a code for gt5 by emai.
