The intro is probably good in the Japanese video with some appropriate Moon Over The Castle or the Survivor song from Prologue. They always get the best music.
Then the American version they just toss some american-y music over it. Perhaps this is the Euro only music? No idea

No, but if you get yourself a Japanese disc you will probably get the epicness that is MOON OVER CASTLE as the intro.
If i was in any way in charge of the production of Gran Turismo, After Moon over castle was used for GT 1 intro, I Would proclaim this song is awesome enough to be used in every single GT game ever released from now on, and that would be case closed!
No more picking songs for any Japanese GT intro. Its always moon over castle no ifs or buts!
And you knwo what I find hilarously awesome , the Japanese intro uses moon over castle for EVERY FRICKING GT INTRO. Eh? 👍

And I really hope there are more unlockable tracks and car makers to be found because right noe there is nothing really new in the track department and significant makes missing : no chrysler as someone said, no cadillac (I knew we'd miss the CTS-V again pfffff), no Bugatti,etc,etc

I went to Gamestop earlier today and asked them if they were doing a midnight release. The girl working there told me that the launch day was 1/1/2011. She wouldn't even listen to me when I told her that Sony hasn't even given a new official release date.
I'm 99% sure 11/30/10 is going to be the date to save. And just my luck, I have 4 vacation days to burn before the end of the year is over. So I will have 6 days to play it.

I just called the gamestop i preordered the game from and ask when it would be available for pick up and the employee told me next year and said it in the tone of voice like are you stupid. not to mention she thought I was asking about COD after I clearly said Gran Turismo 5

I hate the intro, i'll have to be heavy into drugs and really drunk to like it. PD can make some good trailers but some god awful intro's .

I liked the intro. But I had the sound on mute because I was at work. Maybe the intro song is why people disliked it.

this screeen sucks... this car has jaggies... this menu screen is low res... the ppl in the stands are 2d.... the trees are cardboard cutouts... the picures of the leaked game cover are fake... the lucky guy with the game is a jerk because he's not giving us enough information... blah blah blah....

I guess people are just running thin on patience. People hate it when a real driving simulator turns into a real waiting simulator. I'm trying my best to wait for a solid release date amist all this rumor and speculation,

they need to chop that factory part out and the credits... so boring actuall game play part was ok but had bad music and it could have been alot better in general

Im not in too much of a hurry for a release date cause there are a few good games coming between now and christmas , but all of them are on PC.

I thought the video was AWESOME! I think the release date will be revealed only one or two weeks away from the release date. This way PD can insure that they won't be late on this one

I 100% agree. I was like wtf is this crap. The actual game portion was okay. Although some of there trailers from months past were better IMO. Once released,I wish it could be fast forwarded to the part that was feasible. My head hit my keyboard several times on the factory portion of the intro.

I think so. It really has. If it was released in march everyone would have been so much easier on the game. I guarantee it. But I'm glad they kept working on it.
As others have said, and I dont think its the 5 years talking when I say I'm dissapointed there appears on first sight only manually selectable night/ rain versions of only selected tracks, I was really hoping and people were hinting at a automatic real track condtition syncing, and trasnsition options for all tracks.
The Intro also I dont think its unfair to say its the worst yet.
I am sure this will be the best GT to date, the best racing sim to date, because it seems kaz focused on the impotant stuff. I dont think he even cared about the intro this time around, but the Intro sucks dude...but yes its not that important, but yes it would have been nice if it was like the other GT games...right?
You cant deny having weather and day/night for all tracks would be nice too, but certainly doesn't break the game if its not in it.
Rememeber alsmot everyone here loves GT, people are just being critical becasue they dont wanna hold back from sharing their views on a forum thats heavily, rather only focused gt5.

The intro is awfull! the first part was slow and boring, the second part (where the Nissan GTR is showed) is decent but the music totally ruins it. In lots of GT intros the music help to build the atmosphere, in this case it feels just unattached.
