Yeah I wonder if there is a way to change the layout of the menu...example...as it is right now, or change it so that it is like prologue...I definitely like the prologue version.

6 tracks is easy to pull that off. the format they have is much like the psp version and easier to get to the track you want with sub menus. I like the track selection format.

I do not like the trend of recent winners at all......

I didn't have the PSP version, but now that I think about it, I can picture what you're saying...good point.

I love the (unnecessary but funny) video of the oil change - how the car magically lifts up:) I'm also glad the F10's in the game - can't wait to drive it and/or the X1 on Monza rainy! :drool:/:nervous:

Funny, dieing to see more but in reality they are probably too busy playing it to post anything else... But I bet tomorrow we'll get some great info and even some early impressions!!!

I'm really anxious to hear the thoughts of the guys playing it... regardless if they are big fans or not.

So the dealerships appear randomly?
I hated that in GT PSP

I agree completely and have no idea why that is being done? dealerships that randomly disappear and reappear? I Don't get it... why? It's such a pain and serves no purpose at all, gameplaywise, challengewise or strategic. I think it was put in so that the developers could laugh at us.

I can see it now. "ooh I like that car, I want to buy" Goes off to race several times to get enough money. "sorry the dealership is gone. Please wait by playing more games until it will reappear."

The latest video on the GTP homepage shows the head tracking, and if you look on the bottom corner the high-beams icon is also glowing...EPIC lol

There's a part of me that after seeing so much of this game before it's out that can't help but feel disappointed.

I love racing games, and then you mix in the fact that this game has been in development for so long, I cant help but wonder, "for what"? The truth is it's just cars on a road. I think all this hype has pulled me away from what racing games really are, and has me expecting something more than it could ever be.

I look at these vids and screenshots and I just cant help but feel less than impressed. It looks like GT4 with a couple more features and HD graphics. All this waiting and talk, to get the same thing over again, but a little enhanced.

I miss the old days before the internet. I guess im officially old now but it's just not like it used to be.

just watched the miata vid and that thing sounds more real than any car in gt5p. its got me really excited about the sound this time around. The sound has always been my biggest complaint with the GT games. The damage while also important to stop the rammers and encoruge real driving habbits. I dont think would have been a huge let down for me. race with good racers and its not a huge deal. tire smoke and skidmarks i could careless. Heck the sound was the only real reason i kept playing NFS shift, it was horrible but the sound of the zonda r was awsome. sooooooo cant wait.

Deep Forest and Grand Valley in. I'll sleep well now. ;)

Im glad you will sleep.

I didnt see Red Rock Valley Speedway. Now thats a blast from the past track huh?. :)

I was kinda hoping it may be in as a suprise, but unless i missed it i couldnt see it. :grumpy:

Well I won't put it stone but this game shop in nyc is very reputable. They had mw2 maybe about 3 weeks early. He it would be released next week.

Well all the tracks haven't been shown yet. So you never know.

But Red Rock Valley would be a surprise to me. I can't wait to see the rest of the tracks. :)

OK, if the discs are not a fake then, how would you guys explain the wrong code printed on the disc plus the un-centered art-graphics ??? Was this game rushed even with 6 years of development ?? To get to the final stage with a poor art on the disc, a fake code, and a really really bad intro movie !? It's odd...

I think it's a mixture of the hype coupled with the fact you're not playing the game yourself. Playing the game on your tv in front of you, feeling the physics-engine at play, seeing the game in 1080p/60fps is a much more involving and satisfying experience than checking out out a video online that's only in passable video/audio quality. I think you'll get pulled in once you have the game and can experience the whole thing yourself.

Hope you arn't talking about the Wheel graphic on the disc. Ugh. Its a design choice. Would look more generic and stupid if it was centered.

Yeah someone made up the images of the disk along with creating their own in game videos and putting together an intro video just to troll everyone here.

Go put your foil hat back on and stop posting until you realize what you're claiming. There is nothing uncentered about the "art graphics." The offset of the wheel on the game disc makes the appearance less bland.

most of the stuff is taken down per request of sony. So they are clearly reading the news on this site. They can issue to take down stuff but can't give a damn release date!

As far as the sounds in GT5 and being impressed with the vid, I couldn't agree more!

However your entire post, to me, was ruined with the last sentence. Saying you played NFS: **** (oops, forgot the f) for the sounds is like saying you can't stand anything frozen but love ice cream - it makes no sense!

It's been proven, you know... during the development of that game, 2 vacuum cleaners were used for the audio of the cars, one for the lower class cars and one for the higher class. I think the higher class one is a Dyson, not sure on that though.

Great idea for a thread, please keep the first post updated, saves crusing through 100's of pages on the General Dis.. Thread to find new videos etc, thanks alot!

I'm actually quoting most of the people here, about the wrong game code (for Dungeon Siege), the art on the disc and the bad intro movie.
So, if everyone is correct, aside from the "is the disc a fake or not" as it is already being played by criminals who stoled copies, then... it's certainly odd...
It seems they rushed the final procedures to get a 2010 release. But, for a 6 years in the make, these errors will be quite crucifiable.

Yeah I love how Sony is spending their time taking stuff down. That has got to take a while to do, they gotta get ahold of Youtube after all. Yet writing up a press release for the release date, takes all 5 minutes and they can't get that done? Incredible. Sony has amazing PR (not).

exactly my point. In 5 years of development time it should not have any bugs or flaws and a decent video. That was horrible their trailers looked better than that intro.

GT5 better not have any issues upon release, or worse need any game patches to be released soon after.

If it does, then im sure there will be many pi$$ed off fans. Those same fans who have waited patiently for the game for years now.

After reading some of the posts on this site, and re reading what ive typed i laugh at that "patiently" part now  Not naming any names.........

This better be the ride of our lives Kaz.
