Gran Turismo 5 playable at "Festival du Jeu video" next friday

@Alba & AlexP: I think you played the final build at the last Gamescon, with 1 month left, I don't think there will be a new build. It takes time to prepare for a launch.

I MEAN FOR THE PSP, not GT5!!! ;)

There is no way that is true. The build at Gamescom was months old for sure. If it was final build, there would be at least a few tracks and a few cars to choose from in such a huge public fair like GC.

The final build will be at TGS and I'll bet anything you want on it.

Sooo, does that mean the FINAL version of gtmobile is gonna be there? If so, I beg on you lol, take footage of the car list (especially looking for Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti, Maseratti (who knows)) and check if there are some new tracks, a new Cathedral Rocks course is heavily rumoured. I can give you a tip: Try every psp station, 'cause at gamescom the content of the game's versions was different on the multiple psp-stations.
And of course, enjoy the time there and have some fun! :sly:
I'm pretty sure the GT PSP build from Gamescom was the final one. I mean it comes out October 1st and it had the intro, cars and tracks. You need the translation in all the languages and manufacturing process to make x amount millions copies. I'm pretty sure it was done. Just my opinion, though.

If the final build is at TGS, I guarantee someone will beat the game there. LOL

I don't think that'll happen until they get review builds because you ain't going to spend dozen of hours on the show floor just playing GT5 and I'm pretty sure they'd restrict some of stuff you can do with that build to still have some surprises left come release day :P

Hi alba,
I kinda don't get you here. Above you say there is no way that the GC build was final, and below you say the opposite??? I for my part think there is a good chance that the GC build was final because there were severaly new tracks and cars (indeed there were 838 cars), the intro, all menus and modes worked, even ad-hoc.

Hi people, as you can see, damage is still not an option! :|
However 170 cars with fully 3d cockpits it's good, but what about the rest ?

My personal opinion, driving position is bad... I hope i can adjust it like in TDU for example!
Forza 3 has a similar cockpit view...
To this moment i see that both games will be here at my home when released, together with NFS SHIFT!
But both games have flaws!
Gran turismo : No skidmarks, shifting animations present ?, Sound effects, customization and limited damage, environments do match quality of the cars...
Forza 3: No aeros i think, No shifting animation, In some parts the lightning...
Maybe i'm a bit spoiled... BUT I'm still Bitter about the damage option that KAZ Chose!

He talked about GT5 being non-final and GT PSP being finished.

But in short, Kaz already confirmed it... Limited damage and 170 cars only with cockpit... i think to IGN!

Sorry about that, someone posted as new footage... I guess only on TGS, will know for sure about this!

I seriously doubt that there will be different builds from Gamescom, but as Alba and GT.Ace did I'll just try to grab every single new car and differences !

If you don't believe it... Google it or Bing it! I've read the interview to IGN channel and Kaz confirmed that the Damage will be limited to a specific number of cars!
Plus, the cockpit version ... I've read in joystiq, that not all the cars will have a cockpit faithfully built according to the car!

If you don't believe it, too bad! But unfortunately... it's the truth!:nervous:

It is the truth if we can see it for ourselves :sly:

GTFORZAFAN

Do you really think PD would pick the Daihatsu Copen Active Top '02 to be part of their "premium fully faithful cockpits" bunch???? Not to mention we already have 70 odd cars with FULL COCKPIT in Prologue.

Zero sense Zero substance.

B.O.T. I'm leaning towards the "Same build as GC", for sure their saving the heavy stuff for Tokyo.

But, don't get so defensive...
Besides damage not being in all cars, because it was confirmed by kaz... himself... the other info are rumours since PD, keeps the information tight and secured!

What I've read, in the descripiton of the game. 170 cars with damage and full body interior...
Of course, i remember that prologue was gonna have damage also...
So hoping for the best!

It was posted on the Japanese site and even native Japanese people didnt really know what it means. It could mean "Damage and interior damage on 170 cars" or "Damage and cockpit on 170 cars" or....

Yes that info came from a brief (but pulled) article on the official site, it was so confusing no one can definitively understand it. 1up, IGN and any of them got the info from the same place.

Here is the original article translated

You will not find an interview with KY where he says 170 cars (or any limiting number) have interior.

Since when has joystiq been a reliable news source

👍
Dont forget the Cappuccino too

Also, with the Head tracking being this new huge feature, wouldnt make sense that this feature would only be used on 17% of the cars.

So i just came back...
Unfortunatly, nothing new to play with... Same GT5P and GT5 demos as in Germany, but this time in english...
The GT5 demo is loaded directly onto the PS3 hard drive, not a bluray.

I shoot some "nice" crash replay with the subaru, using the triangle button (so you will have closeups". I will upload it later!)

From the PSP side, same thing. Same as in germany... You can't see all the manufacturers in once. 3 to 4 manufacturers each "day" of play. So I can't see if there is some easter eggs cars.

But!
I have confirmation from the sony press officer that the release date will be unvieled next week at Tokyo.
And some Sony booth setup with the Enzo in full GT5 beauty!

In the same time I have played with Forza 3 and NFS shift... Nice but not convinced...

Bummer yet not too suprised at the same time as this event is clearly not as big a priority as E3 and TGS. The real stuff is clearly at Tokyo so on to the land of the rising sun. Anyone want to play Sudoku while we're at it?
