Gran Turismo 5 playable at "Festival du Jeu video" next friday

That Jordan who wrote the news item about this, misinterpreted jujub's comments.
There won't be an Enzo demo at TGS. There was an Enzo at the booth at the Festival du Jeu. See his photos.

No, he interpeted the message as it was posted. I guess these booth shots are actually leaked ones from TGS, not sure though, which means you could be right.

Couldn't tell from the video, did you get the feeling that the doors changes the cars dynamics at all as they flopped around? ie did the doors swinging pull the car left or right as a real doors weight would as it hit the end of it's swing? Also did it feel like the doors could hit other cars as they swung out? For instance do you think you might be able to smash into someone elsese open door as you pass?

Axel damage... that's good to hear!

It's obvious that this damage build is ages old - in that we are supposed to merely get a taste of what damage in GT5 will look like.

What really amazes and impresses me, are the textures on the vehicles! Even though this is an old build of GT5 - look at the high resolution of the textures!

They are as clearly readable, just as you would see in reality [and this is camcorder footage; not direct-feed!]. I am thoroughly impressed that Polyphony Digital has created such lush, detailed textures to apply to the vehicles and not just the backgrounds.

So i just came back...

Unfortunatly, nothing new to play with... Same GT5P and GT5 demos as in Germany, but this time in english...

Update!

Pics from the GT5 booth with the Enzo

well, that's not enzo, nor it is The Subary seen in Gamescom

and that track isn't Tokyo.

So these are not from France.

That's a GTR. Looks like prologue to me. At GC, GT5p was playable in those pods along with full GT5 on racing seats.

GT5 must have been on the other side or something.

This is all just Festival du jeu! No TGS.

The guy (who visited fdj) said there was GT5p and the gamescom build..... so just believe it.

Yes we do just believe it :)

But!
I have confirmation from the sony press officer that the release date will be unvieled next week at Tokyo.

And some Sony booth setup with the Enzo in full GT5 beauty!

In the same time I have played with Forza 3 and NFS shift... Nice but not convinced...

The point is that some believe that Jordan missunderstood the above text --> as if @ TGS there would be a playable enzo booth;

Frontpage
Snip ...release date will be announced next week at the Tokyo Game Show, and the playable demo there will feature the Ferrari Enzo. Thanks to user

jujub for the report and photos/videos!

edit,

the enzo booth clearly looks like to be from fdj.

It is very sad that PD won't publish their of press material like tunr10 and first tasters are allways some low quality crap.

Yes, pictures are from "festival du jeu video" in Paris.
I can't assure you that giant posters are from GT5 ingame.
Maybe it's some GT mobile art.
But it's clearly the first time that an Enzo is featured with a GT5 logo.

The Enzo built at TGS is not a certain thing!
The press officer, after confirming that the date will be announced at TGS, says that this particular Enzo on the poster will be seen next week in "full GT5 beauty". So it may be only a new trailer...
But his smile make me think that it will not be "only a trailer"...

yes

In front there is 2 pods with GT5P and with posters only of the Enzo!
In the back, a few dozen of PS3 with the Gamescon built with the Subaru.

Somewhere in the festival (not far from electronic arts display for a Zombie shooter...) some little basterd (not me unfortunately :( ) found on a Demo PS3 hard drive, the Circuit de la Sarthe built from this year 24 hours of Le Mans, with Audi R8... Someone didn't make the cleaning! :)

I can remember when the only time you knew about a game was when you saw it on the shelf or read a review. As a result, things were far better and more enjoyable as you had no real pre-conceptions about the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to GT5s release day, but all the pre-hype madness I can do without, regardless of quality. It's not like it changes the final game, only in terms of perception.

The marketing team made a mistake.
That screenshot was a touched up pic from GTPSP, they found it nice, put GT5 on there and used it as advertisement, thats all.

Its not an Enzo in GT5 (GT5 looks better), its not a new pic and it doesnt mean that we will se an Enzo at TGS.

You know all of this for fact do you? Spoken to reps there in person have you?

They just put it up there because its not a big deal. maybe it's an upscaled PSP shot, or maybe a downscaled GT5 shot. Don't search anything behind it, it just a nice picture from a Gran turismo game.

+1 Why to hide something all the time...

Pure logic eh? Pure BS more like...

This is the marketing team we're talking about here. They probably have nothing to do with development. PD provides the rights to print a bunch of material for the Sony guys in France. Do they really care (or know) if the Enzo bullshot is from the psp or ps3? I think not.

From what i read here this was a missunderstanding.
Could you quote me the post with this (not the news on the frontpage)?

EDIT: This is what jujub posted:

I would say he meant, that he has seen the Sony booth with the Enzo and thought its GT5.
Not that a Sony guy told him the car will be playable at TGS.
