Gran Turismo 5 playable at "Festival du Jeu video" next friday

I would say he meant, that he has seen the Sony booth with the Enzo and thought its GT5.
Considering he said he heard the release date would be revealed at TGS, from a member of Sony's PR team, I took the comment of the Enzo being shown at TGS as something the Sony official said as well.

But, to each his own.

Oh youre right:
Yes, pictures are from "festival du jeu video" in Paris.
I can't assure you that giant posters are from GT5 ingame.
Maybe it's some GT mobile art.
But it's clearly the first time that an Enzo is featured with a GT5 logo.

The Enzo built at TGS is not a certain thing!
The press officer, after confirming that the date will be announced at TGS, says that this particular Enzo on the poster will be seen next week in "full GT5 beauty". So it may be only a new trailer...
But his smile make me think that it will not be "only a trailer"...

Havent seen this post, im sorry.

Ok I'm back and I must admit that it was quite disappointing !

They put the steering wheels with GT5 Prologue and GT5 was only playable with the pad !

The game has definitely improved its graphics especially the anti-aliasing which is much better than in Prologue.

Is it just me or is there a gradual lighting transition from 0:38 to 0:42? It's almost as if the sun comes out! It may be the hue of the video or display being changed but it seemed to be gradual and not sudden. Just a thought :)

I noticed that too. Everything looks blue-ish at the beginning then it just changes. Been trying to hear the engine sounds in that video but can't tell if it is any different than Prologue or not. For the people who are attending the show. Is there a way to adjust the sounds in the Demo? If there is, would be nice if one of you could turn the replay music off and the sound effects up then record? :D

It's just the saturation of the camera that ****ed up at the beginning...

I saw it too. At first I thought it was a bloom effect from the car emerging from the shadows but it could also be the video camera adjusting to the colors of the LCD.

Off topic, but I have to say this-

Jordan is the only mod/admin that was nice to someone when he closed their thread. I know this is the internet, and we cant punch each other, but that is no reason for people to be mean, or rude, when someone does something wrong. It was almost like a breath of fresh seeing a thread closed without a mod giving attitude or taking down to the OP. Kudos to the owner/operator.

+1:tup: to that

The question is, will the Enzo have damage if it´s playable @TGS...

And I really like the GT5 damage! Never seen such a good damage in an racing SIM (not Burnout or GRID)

Well... I wouldn't go that far, but it is something to behold. GRID does have a very nice damage build, and more of the trackside reacts to collisions, plus the car damage is remarkable.

GT5 may have mechanical damage on par with Ferrari Challenge, but even this preliminary stuff is really something. Watching stuff like this again, I'm really baffled that anyone would want to whine about it.

By the way, I couldn't care less about the anti-aliasing.

Put the same damage model on ALL cars, model the interior of ALL cars, and people will stop whining. You need to listen to what people are whining about, and it's not really the quality of the damage model itself, it's the potential lack of any consistency in the game.
