....Yay some one else noticed the R8 passing the blitz, GT5 is looking to be fun.

And also at that picture, All thoughs blind fools on f.net said the above pictures looked better then NFS shift.... time for turn 10 to put the cat nip away....

no wonder they bragged about modeling all 400 interiors... You get what you pay for.

No way, I thought the interiors would be better than that! Or do some interiors look better than others? Yea...now I also see why they bragged about having all their cars modelled in the interiors. Either its the easy way out, or its the 360's/Turn 10's max capabilities. Oh well, thumbs up for at least trying.

This makes me think. Would you guys rather have interiors of all cars, but some will be very low-detailed and look worst than others, or have it only on some cars, but very highly detailed (like in GT5P). If its the first one, then Forza did something right, there.

Bty, thanks to whoever posted up the videos and pictures. It's amazing.

Argh, i was trying to keep myself away from stuff that made me desperatly want the game now, and there you go and put those replays up :'(

I hope it will be change for TGS but since this is a GC build I don't think it will happen - I think this is the damage we will have in the game (until first update at least). Still I hope I will be wrong.

What makes you honestly think thats all the damage we'll have? As you can see bolded, its a GC build which, along with Kaz telling us about a "Major Advancement" at TGS, makes it clear its not the final product. Demos almost always never represent the final product and this one car, one track Demo clearly isn't what you'll get on the shelves or in the PSN store soon.

I got a video of some French guy playing it on my Bebo page. I really am obsessed...

You mean like some premium and some standard cars vs an across the board middle ground? I think I would want the across the board middle ground in the long run, but in the short term, highest level of eye candy (even if it's limited in quantity) doesn't sound bad...

In all fairness, the way Kaz said it (ie e3 was CG and GC was in game demo is major announcement) it's entirely readable as they will just be announcing more important stuff from the actual game, not that the game has necessarily made and advances since what we saw.

I have played plenty of demos that were indistinguishable from the finished game with the exception of how much content was made available.

While they always bear the notice that they don't represent the final product, in most cases, they are a spitting image (obviously other than the number of levels, cars/characters etc available for use).

I think the quote is talking about Demos at game conventions.

Are you talking about downloadable demos? I think there is a distinguishable difference between the two. (I might be wrong, I am just guessing:tup:)

While I've came across those same kind of demos, they also differed in Gameplay as well as visuals not as polished (or as good in some cases) as the full game. What I'm saying though is while its a sneak peek, its not necessarily guaranteed that its representative of the finished product so its best to hold final judgement. It just seems like yossigab was making a judgement on a eventual finished product based on what he saw in a unfinished demo.

To avoid being too philosophical - did you see the Motorstorm: Pacific Rift demo? So even tough it is common for demos to be close to the finished product, it's not a guarantee. The only thing I ask - just stop putting your POV into everyone else's head, thank you very much.

Same with the GT5P Demo btw. which had a complete different physics system and a lot of graphic glitches that werent in the "full" game.

You mean like by tellilng people that demos almost never represent the final product well? Are you sure you didn't mean to say "just stop putting a POV other than mine into everyone elses head, thank you very much."?

It seems like it's ok for you to impose your views, but not ok for me?

Gotcha.

BTW how is telling everyone that the demos I have played have been very close to or the same as the final product (other than total content obviously) putting my POV in everyone elses head? It's not my point of view... it's a fact... the demos I have played HAVE been very close to the final product... I think you just don't like opposing opinions to your own.

From those videos; what the hell is with the tyres making smoke in the braking areas? If they are not locking up all four tyres there should not be all that smoke!! That is retarded

I've noticed that to, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it retarded, :). I hope they fix that cause it does look odd, but then again the game is looking so good that I could live with it.

First I want to note that I'm not referring to the full game features such as on-line, GT mode, tracks, cars, etc. I'm only referring to the driving features (AI, damage, sound etc.)
Second, I think like that because of the following reasons:
1. As hinted before the game should be released sometime "soon". Usually in the programming/gaming industry when you are close to release date you don't do magnificent/dramatic changes since there will be a need for a full testing which takes a long time in those sizes of games
2. The development of games takes a lot of time - and for PD specifically things like AI & damage since we all familiar with the fact that PD doesn't have a lot of experience (or have basic experience)
3. The GC build although was in last month, I don't think that PD took an old build, they probably used some pretty latest build with all they had in terms of driving (not cars, menus etc.)

As I said before - I hope I'm wrong !!! :ouch:

You wish you got me. The thing I was talking about is your posts popping up after almost every opinion even remotely suggesting, that it might be an old build and we shall wait for something closer to (yet unannounced) final version. If it was a real demo (as in playable sample taken from a full game as usual. This is just a demo purely by definition of the word "demonstration") it would be more acceptable, but it's nothing like it. I don't rule the possibility of full game looking very similar, but I'm almost willing to bet we will see some rather major than minor changes.

And no, it's not about fighting the opposing ideas. Is about fighting the false confidence you (but not only, you're just a perfect example : )) seem to have in your opinions, by finding just as possible, but different solutions and explanations.

Another possibility - they were working/debugging some improvements/features, so they threw in just the stuff they saw finished. Better to show less but good than to show more but screwed up. Just a speculation though.

I believe that judging the final GT5 by what we have seen so far isn't a good idea.

I think the collisions shown in the 2009 E3 Concept Trailer are using a totally different physics engine to those calculated by the GamesCon build, as shown by the Nascar and the GTbyCitroen compared to what we have seen in recent gameplay footage. Yet these have been shown relatively close together.

Can someone who goes to TGS quit the playable demo and read what it says in the information from the XMB, this could give us some idea as to how old the demo is?

Only two days left, people. All these debates shall come to a halt until its al over.

I just hope I will eat my "hat" on Thursday, and sure I hope it will be a BIG hat :)
