What do you call it then?:odd:

Do you watch Top Gear? You really have to be familiar with English humour to get that one!

What do you think about having the "day" counter linked to the weather? You know, as the days progress, the seasons progress. Good/bad idea?

IT would be killer having that implemented, but some tracks in the american\canadian north would be useless for 5-6 months a year!

I've seen many episodes of Top Gear on youtube. That's about it.

As far as the seasons go, it can begin to snow in NY, at least where I live, by early October. Though most of the snowfall we receive here begins in December and ends in March.

Just slightly off topic, i was in Morrisons car park yesterday ( for at least 2 hours mind ), i decided which car could be made into a rally car, who else has done this besides me ?.There were quite a lot of candidates then.

Slightly off topic can and will turn into a slightly derailed. 👍

Surely getting the full version of one would top geting a demo of one and information on the other :odd:.

You don't even have to watch TopGear, I do but I don't remember that. I do still see an obvious joke though. I was thinking more along the lines of he's going to reach for her laptop so he can get connected. But hey.

Back to TGS, I'm definitely expecting a lot of information, including the release date and maybe an almost complete version of GT5 there to play.

I imagine they will at least go through the list that was released after GamesCom. I expect Kazunori to clarify the cock-pit view speculation. Maybe they'll be simple like GT Mobile's or perhaps they'll be fully done like in GT5: Prologue.

I am hoping for 2 big announcements. By this I mean two unexpected or hardly spoken about features. A livery editor and dynamic weather would be idea for me.

And yes, a playable version should be available and hopefully with a wide range of cars, preferably cars from new manufacturers (Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Bugatti, etc). I'm sick of seeing those damn Countach's. As excited as I am to see Lamborghini in GT Mobile, it will be amazing to see them in GT5. The secrecy and tension is both a burden and a prelude for what's to come. 5 days, I say!

Yamauchi already said that he couldn't grab Porsche? Why are people still saying it will be there?

It's always good to dream;)

I'm skeptical of Porsche but if I believed Kaz under the circumstances of the day when he was interviewed, I'd be a fool. He was very secretive during that interview and deflected when the game would be released and how many cars would be in GT5. His "no" to the Porsche question may have been a deflection, too. Nothing odd about that.

So, a chance exists. As small as it may be.

:: Waves hand over head making a whistling noise :: You too? :P

I'm sure he meant it's going to be a very action-packed week for those who race. 👍

If there is a full playable version at TGS I may not be able to contain myself!! I may have to get some glasses with a hidden camera in them and just sit there driving and driving and driving. Then the video will be posted here for all of your enjoyment!!

Chances of that though! slim to none I feel!

I fly out on Tuesday so those first few days are going to be like hell waiting for the general public admission days on Saturday and Sunday!! but £7 to get in is dirt cheap for what we all hope will be announced!! I am also dreaming that they will release it there (yeah right) and I can get my hands on a PAL copy. If that happens though I will probably cut my holiday short and come back home to race!!!

for the slim chance there for all of that to happen in that exact order, I'm coming over he day you get back home and steal your copy and then proceed to head back to my own home!

My thoughts: GT5 will be released this year to prevent crossed fingers from breaking. Gran Turismo 5 will be completed next year with numerous DLCs and refinement updates. I don't think we've seen the last of the "Spec updates." Which could include additional manufactures signing on. So ....cross your fingers again.

I hope your and my thoughts become real, or else i would have no fingers to use my soon-to-be G27 .
A surprising "Porsche Expansion Pack" would be lovely, especially if it has a 917K or 917/30 on it .

Yeah, maybe a track expansion pack also. I think PD has set up Gran Turismo 5 to be expandable with additional cars, tracks, etc. Heck the other games have Add-On packs. One thing that I keep clinging to is that old TGS 2007 photo of KY speaking with a huge slide presentation behind him. One of the features was spectator mode. I have no problem sitting back and watching an online race.

Personally, I'd just assume that GT5 be the only GT this generation. Keep it fresh with DLC and Spec updates, and save GT6 for the PS4. Between new cars and tracks delivered via DLC, and engine tweaks and updates delivered via the Spec updates, not to mention online tournaments and the like, I really don't see any need for a "new" GT this generation. Just keep the updates coming until GT6 on the PS4, and I think we'll be good.

The "second version" never sells as well anyway, so you may as well just focus on keeping the first one feeling fresh IMO, and give people a reason to keep buying it throughout the generation. Free DLC will keep the fans happy (and give latecomers that much more incentive to buy it), and paid DLC will keep the lights on while they work on GT6.

There you go. GT5 will be released this year and Gran Turismo 5 will be completed just before the PS4 comes out. IMO. Oh one more thought. I'm not sure about a KY sackboy expansion pack.

They can also do re-release of DLC in a retail box to boost sales like having GT5 spec 2 or something but yeah I agree, I'll buy every single piece of DLC for this game anyway :D

Your absolutely right. re-release of DLC. I've already set up my PS3 with a larger HDD just to capture some it.

GT6 has a chance to appear on the PS3. If the PS3 is as successful as the PS2, we'll be seeing many games on the PS3. NFS still pumps out PS2 games. Though it seems NFS Shift is where the line has been drawn. Damn, we've seen a lot of NFS games on the PS2. 7 titles!

Considering GT5 has taken so long (though GT Mobile slowed it down), it does seem that updates can keep this game going strong for the rest of the generation. Assuming this generation begins to fade around 2013, I think GT5 will still be the most sought after racing game.

I think GT5 will brake a new selling record... Especially the PS3 copy protection is not cracked (hope it will never be cracked)

So like you said (sayed?),if they keep GT5 fresh there is no need for a GT6... they can make more money with the DLC´s than with a new game...

IMO If GT5 will have dynamic weather - day time simulation, then there will not be GT6 for PS3, just updates with cars/tracks, and some patches.
