Gt5p site will close on monday 21'th... you know what that means?!

The Japanese site announced a while back that a new press page for GT5 would be going up. It was posted here on GTP but can't find the info. Check the Japanese website.

They're also closing the the Tourist Trophy Time Trial Tournament site as well:

Seeing as they are also closing down the GT4 time trial site, does this mean bikes are in GT5?? Or just maybe TT2 will be announced?

(Translate for yourself, I'm not touching that one again with a barge pole...even if I had one)

GT5 Prologue Online Troubleshooting being closed down too :D This means they don't give a monkeys anymore about Prologue. This means big momma GT5 is coming so thats pretty beatalicious :)

For me, the release date is important, but not important as the features of the title at hand. I want to know more about the game itself! GT5 is definitely one of the most secretive titles I have encountered.

Oh, cheers to the Audi R10!👍

LOL, I think I just wet myself.:lol::lol:

GTplanet covers TGS pretty well. Well, well enough for me. I just can't wait. It really is a week until TGS! I hope GT5 is shown on day 1.

You know... that's a scary announcement. I'm beginning to believe... well, rather than start a ruckus over it, I'll just say "some strange things."

Ok I'm going to TGS, I will have my camera and phone with me. Anything I can find will be posted here but if there is a release date I'm sure someone else will beat me to posting it on here as I will be holidaying and I'm not too sure about my net access whilst I'm there, unless there is free wifi at Suzuka for the F1!!!

I realy cant wait, I am getting slightly moist!!!!

Hey man, if you meet Kazunori Yamauchi get me an autograph. ;)
Cool that youre traveling to it, should be an awesome trip.

Nah, don't think so, the game's gonna hit the stores this year for sure!

Off topic: Are there a lot people in Italy passionate about GT?:), 'cause we all know which cars you produce...Ferrari,Lamborghini,Maseratti,Bugatti,Pagani, just to name a few :sly:

Italians are passionate about cars, period, hahaa my grand-mother is from Genoa, she owns a old Fiat 124 Spider, zooms that all over san salvador, and i can say that Italian people are very proud to have several amazing autos in their name.

'Major advancement', in context of the quote, just means we will see a lot more than we saw at Gamescon.

A trailer at E3 was step 1. The demo at gamescon was the next stage. The TGS presentation they make will contain a lot of information, and therefore be major advancement over the previous presentations. That's the way I read it.

True. The natural progression from E3's trailer to GameCom's playable demo leads me to believe that we will AT LEAST see GT5 in more depth at TGS. The game is still in development according to a September interview, so GT5 is probably 95% done but we will be seeing a portion of the game which needs no further work. Still, I feel we'll be seeing a major announcement or advancement from this presentation. No matter how much the words major advancement are twisted, new information is bound to arise, and from there we'll be "advancing".

Really? That's interesting, do you have a link to the interview handy? It's good to know that they're still working on the game and are not just sitting on a finished product, it gives hope that they genuinely are improving the damage modelling and hopefully paying a lot of attention to NFS:Shift and Forza 3. I was under the impression from other interviews that the game was finished, since Kaz said it could be released at any time and they were just polishing things.

Here it is, marked 8/31/09. You can bet they're still working on it. I think they'll be done a month after GT Mobile's release. So by November everything will be set (minus DLC and whatnot). That's ample time to start the advertising, in my opinion.

Of particular interest is Yamauchi's claim that Gran Turismo 5 is still in development but that "its release is not too far, it will be after the PSP GT release and, very probably, it will be a simultaneous world release."

First off, that's an immature way to bring up the idea of a livery editor in Gran Turismo.
Secondly, I do agree that Gran Turismo 5 should sport one.
Thirdly, you can modify your cars, but only under the hood, so to speak.

Agreed....After playing NFS:Shift I Dont want a livery editor too free forming....Maybe if they had all the car manufacturers paint schemes I would be straight.....

I want LOGOS and simple designes that you can place on the car wherever you like, but make it simple, I like to pait my car in FM2, but then again, I just wanna reace the car, not drive a art work, as long GT will have simple paint system, I will be happy.

I honestly could care less about logos and designs. I'm more of a function over form kind of guy. Well in a sense anyways... I just want to be able to interchange body parts with aftermarket parts for aero purposes. Buying certain company cars is cool but I like to mix it up. Not just one company has everything if you know what I mean. I guess if they don't have it in this is will def. be in the next though... 10 years from now anyways.
