How many of you would go for the digital copy of the game if the news at TGS would be: "Digital download available now, boxed version available from December"?
I'd wait, because your theoretical download only has half of the content available, and the rest is ulocked by paid DLC. The boxed version has it all right off the bat for the same money.

Why would you think that? The digital download would be for enthusiasts who wouldn't want to wait for the game being distributed and would include the same things as the boxed version.

My response was intended to sound ridiculous. Comprendez?! It is not going to happen, and if it did, I think it's fairly obvious that most people on here would download it IF it were the same as the boxed version.

That's what we thought about E3 as well.

partypooper! :grumpy::yuck:👎

:P

I haven't had this feeling before the E3, but it's, like, confirmed that GT5 will come out this year, so there must be alot of info there, and Tokyo is their home city, and I suppose they would show the most in their home city.

Next time try to make your ridiculous posts more obvious so I wouldn't bother answering.

It seems to me that many of you guys are getting your hopes too (way too in some cases...) high, which will lead, inevitably, for some 'heartbreaking' dissapointement.

I expect that GT5 would improve a little bit on some 'lows' from Prologue. Nothing revolutionary. I doubt that all 1,000 cars would have cockpit view. What I've read from Kaz, and what have been stated on that famous 'list' that was on the PD site briefly, in my opinion, shows that this is what going to happen. Also a cosmetic damage feature.

What I wish GT5 would have, and it should raise no bigger issues implementing it, would be a livery editor, improved physics with better (realistic) car handling, specially on the tire-road communication, tire wear, and longer races with mechanical damage, as well as a realistic penalization system. It should be easy to include these - even TOCA3 had it.

I don't believe on some other more advanced features like rain, dynamic weather, etc. Seriously guys - real-time racing and weather conditions, functional wind tunnels are a little bit irrealistic don't you think? If they're not, I'll gladly 'eat me own words' while enjoying GT5

@bullie77
Physics have been improved from GT4 and Prologue proves that they are going the right direction. Crashphysics have been improved and result in a more realistic outcome from certain crashes, even when there is no damage applied (GC Demo). The damage will be visual and mechanical, it was allready playable at GC and Kazunori Yamauchi said it would affect the driving.

The list from the japanese site may have been translated incorrectly, so we dont actually know what it means. It might be 1000 cars with 170 with demage and all with interiors, or just 170 with damage and interiors and 830 without all of that, which is pretty unrealistic, since even non premium cars had interiors in GT5P.

Weatherchanges and the liveryeditor are just rumors and i dont think they will be ingame aswell.
But i agree with you, that the game is hyped a bit too much. It will, it can not become all of what the people wish it would.

Although some of us, GT fans don't like to assume it, there's a "arcadey" side to the game that's well in its "DNA". Therefore I don't believe that we will likely to see on "5" a realistic damage physics. And by "realistic" I mean that it you it a all full front, on a front-engined car, 99% of the times that's it. The car's dead... you will not shift reverse, head back on track and continue to drive, nor will only have a persistent steering to the left or right.

I agree with you, but the wind tunnel would be easier to implement than real time weather. I know the ps3 is all powerfull etc but it seemed like prologue was already pushing the limits of the system. I'm not sure why some people are so convinced that dynamic weather will be included.

btw, i saw backfire at 0:13 from GTPSP gameplay video by Gametrailers. theres backfire sound and is very very soft...
