GT5P sold fine because it was what it should have been at the time. Did you see pages and pages of people pissed off at the wait and missing features?

Like I said, past sales doesn't say anything about whether or not this is a big dissapointment.

And I am going to be buying F3, but I was going to anyway, I have a 360 already so it was a no brainer. My purchase is not important, but sony and PD should be unhappy by the number of people who will be buying F3 who otherwise wouldn't have...

yes I did, people complained the online sucked, they shouldnt pay for a DEMO, yada yada yada

Dev, from the things you say, I dont think you understand why GT is such a great series. I think with time you'll come around.

Street Fighter 4?? It just a RELEASE DATE!!! all the news about the game was great, what feature were you dissapointed in? The release is farther away then I would like it but if anything, the game can only be better! I doubt PD will be spending their time with their thumbs up thier butt.

All the news was great? The huge announcement was something about photomode? The "shortly after GTPSP" meant 6 months after? That's great news?

And what makes you think PD won't be spending their time with their thumbs up their butts? I am not convinced they have been exactly burning the candle at both ends the last 5 years.

GT5 will oneday be playing on your TV screen, so just give yourselve's a break...complaining and winging is very draining.

trust me 6 month will go fast,,, Nov/Dec will be a hell busy time for me and during winter i have a time to buy g25 and making a project cockpit for sim racing should be fun!

I'm putting my broken PS3 up and throwing away the key

The idea that we do not have one single new screenshot or video of GT5 released to the public (besides the F458 video Forza 3 has as well) is pathetic.

Everyone and their mother knew about the features a month in advance

Not even mention of a new track. Only "Southern Italy". Sad.

Unlocking cars in GT tracks while on the go will help the wait till March more bareable. I see nothing wrong with unlocking cars on my psp and transfering them into Hi res, damagable cars with improved physics that i'll have to spend money to upgrade. Not to mention I will not be able to drive them till I unlock the race/cup/Championship anyway.

Like it or not the GT5 delay just sold a huge amount of GT PSPs.

While I'm shaking and baking on my PSP Kaz will be finalizing his work.

What's up with the 'the TGS isn't over yet' people? Would be very strange if they're gonna say something interesting later on, when they had a 30 min. opportunity, right?
Instead they've talked **** we already know! Now, if you think anything worth listening to comes out of Kaz' mouth the next days, you're very very naive...

Yes the release date is diappointing, we all want what we want now. I dont think the big announcement was photomode, but its yet another great feature in the game.

This thread is seperating the men from the boys and Dev, you got some growing up to do.

Dev didnt you hear Kaz talk about adding requested features??? You should be glad about that right?
 
I love the release date. I was worried about all of the great racing games coming out at once. GT5, forza 3, shift, and dirt 2. With GT5 holding off for awhile, now I will be able to actually get the best out of all the games. Plus it will give GT some time to figure out was forza 3 did wrong, and capitalize off of their mistakes.

Anyway, March works out perfect for me, and anyone else that has both a 360 ,and ps3.

The huge announcement was obviously the release date.
And 6 months is nothing for PD :)
But I can feel the pain of Sony -> they miss the christmas release and the PS3 sales coming with it...
 
Like someone said before, Kaz is still going to be announcing stuff later. Everyone needs to calm down. I consider 6 months to be close behind GT PSP. What company releases two games in less than a year?
This is day one. Im gonna keep stopping by this site all weekend. I still think there is more to be announced...

i understand i doubt it was just 30mins of kaz spoken. i am sure there's coming more in end of the sept then we might have more informations from GT Site.

Southern Italy? Have you research it yet? like type in google and Italy Tracks to see what they have? maybe 2 or 3 popular tracks. i thinki about to right now.

I thought about that too but if you really think about it, there has to be something else. There is no way they did all that setting up just for a lousy 30 minute presentation at a 4 day gaming event. What are they going to do for the rest of the show? Play grab ass with each other in the back room? As much fun as that may sound and I would love for the opportunity to play grab ass with Kazunori and the PD crew, I highly doubt that is all they'll be doing for the rest of the show.

If PD truly had any other tricks up their sleeve we'd know about it by now.

There's no new news because there's nothing new.

900 cars, damage, online, same o same o Gran Turismo mode, and photomode.

That's it. After 6 years that's it.

GT PSP is the real evil in all of this. I dont even want to think about how many man hours were taken from GT5 work and put on GT mobile, which is in reality a stripped down GT4, just to boost sales of PSP Go

Haven't you read about a 300% rise in PS3 sales since the Slim came out?
And Xmas isn't here yet, they're gonna sale PSP and PS3 this Xmas and continue to sale thru the start of 2010, GT5 & GOW III that's your sale right there....
 
News will probably roll in throughout TGS and this month. The confirmation list is pathetic right now, but it will beef up shortly.
 
That's what happens when you get rumors floating and people start believing in it. PD never announced a release date until today. Kaz never said he was going to blow your minds away at TGS, all he said was that there will be another advancement.. and there is. A release date, modern lambo cars, damageable ferraris, pit crews, features list. Some of you guys should get your hopes and dreams out of your head. Wait until the game is out and then discuss. You guys build so much hype for this game and expect it to meet your standards. Reading some of the stuff in the wish list thread I'll bet once GT5 does come out were gonna hear more whining than this.
 
I'm a bit dissapointed at the moment, but i'm sure more will come out over the next days. Remember this is a Japanese conference and he was talking for that part of the world. It could be earlier here?

If it is a worldwide release in march thats cool with me. A lot of people were talking late December anyway, thats only 9 or ten weeks extra to wait. Its not that bad.

As for being bombarded with trailers, car lists and screenshots. I wouldn't mind a trailer but some games release so much you feel like you have played the thing before you even have it in your hands.

I would rather find some surprises out for myself.

This means I might be able to get rid of my PS3 Fat and get a slim in time aswell. :)
