Gran Turismo 6 E3 2013, General discussion(Live streaming links).

I know it's a little late for this, but someone needs to press Kaz a little more on the online series and championships, and the league building features. Along with that, does this mean we'll finally get a comprehensive Event Maker which can be used off- or online to create racing series as long and involved and detailed as we want?

And yeah, that Livery thing too. :D

Livery editor means ugly cars, and GT is a beautiful game.

Half the online liveries you see in Forza look like garbage, and those liveries from the #DRIVECLUB trailer make it look like a joke. I really don't see that the fascination with stripes and graphics are. I'd rather PD put more time into things that actually matter (Physics, deeper tuning, etc.)

You can already make ugly cars in GT5. Your point is invalid.

Citation needed.

Liveries are a part of real racing, so I'd say they matter too. Honestly, I'm sick of seeing everyone's cars looking exactly the same.

Immersion, and sense of ownership. They apparently already put time into physics, so the next best thing would be a livery editor and better graphics.

Hoping for some direct questions from this interview that address the fans' concerns, as well as calling Kaz out if there's vague answers that don't properly address the questions.

Tenacious D. He does work.

Incredibly well-worded, sir. If it doesn't come up at E3, maybe we can get that answered in some other way- Future events, Kaz's twitter, amar or TokoTurismo, etc. etc...

:sly:

Seems like a lot of people here imagine interviews with Kaz like this...

"We mentioned it a little bit at the Silverstone announcement a few weeks ago but we want to affect more industries outside of just the game world, and we're setting up a lot of collaborations with a lot of different game companies right now, as we speak," Yamauchi reminded. "I think those are some of the most interesting things coming up for GT6."
Now that is intriguing.

EDIT: oops, sorry for the double post.

In that article Kaz said:"Once players have kind of played out the features of Gran Turismo 6[...]" and then said "It shouldn't be a very long time."
I don't know if that's good (the new GT won't take very long) or bad (GT6 might not have that many features)...
I hope that's just a bad choice of words.

Yes I agree, without some form of quality control, the livery editor would not add much to the game in my opinion.

Another thought is that PD may be collaborating on the implementation of a livery editor - it's not something they have done before and there are a number of game companies that have and done it well that they would surely benefit of their assistance.

I believe, since Gran Turismo is a flagship title for the Playstation, that PD will wait until the PS4 install base reaches a certain level, then release the next iteration of the title. 6 - 18 months after the PS4 starts hitting homes is the large window, although I don't expect it to go past 12 months for "GT Evolution" with the release timing of the console as it stands now. The bleeding edge folks will buy this year and the folks who can stand to wait will likely get it at Christmas time 2014. I would also reckon that when the next GT releases for the PS4 that it will be bundled with consoles as well. Which will help drive sales of both. Basically what this means is they are using GT6 to maintain fan base while they're generating the PS4 version, whatever they choose to call it.
