Gran Turismo 6 E3 2013, General discussion(Live streaming links).

Okay then let Ferrari be Ferrari with no damage and real time damage to the other cars...

Of course this is not gonna happen imo, especially when Forza has a proper damage system on every cars.

Personally I would rather have no damage than a half-baked attempt at damage modelling - I would prefer that other aspects of GT were concentrated on :)

Still good to hear that 'sounds' are on the PD radar :)

FM4 has Ferraris in it and has a pretty good damage model... just saying.

Why would Ferrari allow T10 to use a good damage model and not PD?????

This is an italian link:
http://multiplayer.it/articoli/119850-gran-turismo-6-un-gran-turismo-e-per-sempre.html

They had a few words, at E3, with a developer (they did not say who...).
Here is what I consider more or less relevant, no real news though.

- The new rendering model allows better performance.
They said that 60 fps was always on during the trial they had... it is also true that it was only one car...

- Standard cars will be in the game. A new 'upscaling' system will make them closer to the premium ones.

- Damages are still a question mark. As we know an issue is that some manufacturer does not allow to have 'their' cars wrecked...

- Sounds improvement is a top priority for PD.

If the Italian guys got it right, it was said that PD (or Sony) is thinking to implement a 'feedback' system, so that people will be able to promptly indicate which are the major issues in their opinion.

I have touched on this Yesterday while browsing pre GT5 Kaz quotes,Kaz did mention this alot .

Wonder what the upscaling system is,Standards are already upscaled but it doesn't add more Polygons which is the whole issue isn't it?

Glad Sound is a high priority ,You'd think a mega Team like PD will be able to atleast have something soon regarding sounds.

It might be a high priority but how they are going to go about the improvements is anyone's guess.

I think from what we're getting in the demos we won't be getting any improvments come launch, maybe the PS4 version then.

We have half a year to game release, they are currently concentrating on physics engine mostly, because the GT Academy is just behind the corner, and physics are most important there, not sounds. Sounds are done only to "work" for these E3 demos, look at new cars, SLS GT3 has V12 Vantage sound etc. They haven't done that with premium cars even in GT5, every car sounds different (I'm not saying good, just different), even premium Mazda Roadsters NA, J-Special (or whatever it's called, the yellow one) sounds beefier and louder than the other one. And physics need to be finished for GT Academy, or at least in a properly working state without any bugs.

Like someone mentioned before ,if PD say have 10 cars with the new sound implementation they are talking about,it would only be natural for them to put these cars in the demos to show them off,Yes there are cars in the demo that use old samples but even the cars that appeared in GT5 sound identical to the GT5 sounds.

We might some how get a huge turn around in the sound department when GT6 releases but it's a huge longshot that isn't worth getting your hopes up for that is for sure.

Never say never, PD do like to keep a lot of stuff hidden until the last few weeks before release.
Ie skid marks and tyre smoke, along with rain etc :)

None of them were in the GT Academy "demo"...

Along with stuff like grass particles and backfires, if I recall.

You are absolutely correct. ALL of that stuff came as a surprise and I do wonder what is in store for GT6!

Yeah, where is the interview?

It was supposed to be yesterday, according to some people on this thread.

Maybe trolls?

When will we be able to read the interview between Kaz and Jordan? We're looking forward to it!

When Jordan posts it. Apparently he has something larger on his plate at the moment.

Seriously dude?

Jordan's probably been busy with translating the interview and other things like handling site traffic after E3 and all that good stuff.

Jordan said he would "transcribe it tomorrow" on the day he did the interview. Everyone took it that he would post it on that day as well. Hopefully today, but he didn't mention anything about it in the Weekly Rewind which is surprising.

If you notice Jordan did not post the Rewind this week

Jordan's not the one who posted the weekly rewind article. I don't think he ever does.

Tree'd by 4 seconds :P

It's time to change our thinking to "is everything ok with Jordan?".

Ah thanks for the heads up guys. Just read it (on my phone) while eating a sandwich on my break at work. But yea, I'm sure he's exhausted etc.

I am still sticking to my suspicion that Kaz and translator-san have kidnapped Jordan. During the interview something was leaked to him that was not supposed to be revealed yet. I suspect we will not hear from Jordan until after GT6 is released.

Aside from Willow Springs track, I did not see/hear anything new from E3 for GT6. Do you guys agree?

When is the next big video game conference?

Gamescom. 21st to 25th August.

Le Mans next weekend might have a little reveal maybe. So might Spa 24 next month. (Good time to show time change Spa that!)

Tokyo Games Show 20th September.
