"Gracious bends and jumps"...? At Seattle?? The jumps are pretty annoying, because every real car would instantly be heavily damaged, and lots of the corners are 90°. If you think that's better than Bathurst, I must assume you obviously don't know the track. Now there you've got some gracious bends...

👍

Um, I really think PD will comfirm both tracks for launch at TGS tbh. PD didn't exactly say there would be 7 new locations, they said that there would be 33 locations in GT6 I believe. They also just went over that by 3 locations now, I think that was just an estimation they made into thinking how many courses they could model by release and they ended up modeling more track locations than intended. I don't see why not 2 more tracks could be comfirmed.

So, the current confirmed track-list seems to leave room for one more track and 7 more variations, taking into account what they allegedly said last night in the playstation press conference. (37 tracks and 76 variations - they seem to finally have revised their count to include GT5-DLC)

By my count, we're at 36/69. (the 69 is not counting separate weather or reverse tracks - if you count those you're over 76 already)

So, will it be Bathurst + variations of other tracks, or just ... Ronda (maybe with pre-defined variations)...?

Now I got confused. I was very convinced that it was 90% of chances to be Seattle. But your point is as good as mine, maybe better.

I think I changed my mind and I think that it´s gonna be Bathurst and Seattle as DLC...Or maybe not...Or maybe yes...Ah, Im confused!

To be honest, I prefer Bathurst instead of Seattle, I would be happy if you are right about it.

After the Forza announcement I think we won't get Bathurst. I already had the feeling that it may not be for GT, back then when the video of the scanning crew was released.

Wasn't it confirmed that PD was at Mt. Panorama scanning the track? Maybe it will be in GT6 later as DLC. No one knows for sure, but I wouldn't rule it out yet.:)👍

It struck me that it couldn't possibly be Seattle that they're saving up this long to announce. Why wait all this time only to announce... Seattle? There's a good chance that Bathurst will be the track, or it'll be something else completely out of left-field that we haven't seen coming.

We don't know how many variations Matterhorne has, do we? It looks to me like it's a very modular track.

Hopefully as many as cape ring. I love how much use they put into that track. Now if only they did that with a track I actually liked...

That is a bit of a large assumption. Turn 10 made announcements in relation to the McLaren P1 and yet that car appeared immediately in Need for Speed Rivals. And they have deals with Audi but that brand seems to be appearing in every new racing game announced for the late 2013 and early 2014 time span.

SSR11 confirmed.

OH WHAT HOW DID YOU DO THAT! I woldnt have even thought that they were tracks!

 This just shows how OCD the GT fanbase is, we notice every detail :dopey:

Still no confirmation though... never got to play SSR11 (GT1? GT2?).

GT1, GT3 - two slightly different layouts. The first had an infamous suicide chicane under an overpass, the second nerfed it somewhat and tweaked several corners. The one in the video appears to be GT3's layout, but I think it's still unclear.

Here's GT1's (he cops the chicane on the second lap!), and here's GT3's.

Also: never knew about this!

In that video the scanning crew specifically said it was for "Gran Turismo" and when pressed further if it was DLC or for GT6 they said GT6. They were also Japanese. They were not members of T10.

I think PD might just have this one up their sleeve. I'm not saying I expect anything, but I'm feeing a little optimistic and think we'll see Bathurst and Seattle confirmed at TGS.

PD introduced two tracks at both E3 and Gamescom and I think that trend will continue. Remember that TGS is also PD's home event and they'll want to save something special. Revealing Seattle alone isn't very special. It's a track we've seen before and not something to genuinely get excited over. It's more of a supporting track. Bathurst would be the bigger news with Seattle as an additional track like Apricot Hill was at Gamescom.

Personally I was a little surprised with Brands Hatch making it in GT6 -- yes, it was confirmed prematurely in a press release and there was confusion afterward, but still overall a bit of a surprise to have it confirmed --, so I'm going to optimistically predict another surprise with Bathurst rather than just Seattle.

Could very well be. There's also a couple of additional variations of returning GT5-tracks that have been in the GT-series before and could make a comeback. Like...

Fuji 80's
Fuji 90's
Suzuka West

Solid. 👍

That is a matter of opinion, sir! :)

Remember guy's we will receive TWELVE tracks for sure after launch. We will get bathrust and Seattle and ssr11 Just not o the vanilla copy.

Just to confirm, say for example the Road-Course Indy track will be ported from GT5 to GT6 with a few touch ups or do they re-model the whole thing again?

Well it will be on the same platform... if it's already accurate, there's no reason to redo it.

Honestly, I really think the inclusion of the SSR11 track map in that video is a pure coincidence. I don't see it as any indication that it'll be in GT6 or even offered as DLC. It's a Gran Turismo track and perhaps it was simply mistaken for SSR5 by whomever placed it there. That said, I absolutely adored SSR11 in GT3 and I'd love to have it back, but in no way is it confirmed in any form.

I'm not sure why anyone would think they'd start from scratch again -- what would be the point of that? They're assets they literally spent years on and are easily reusable.

Just look at GT5P to GT5 -- Daytona, Suzuka, Fuji, Eiger, London and the High Speed Ring are all clearly the same tracks that are in GT5. Suzuka has some slight differences to update the track such as a new pit/garage complex as well as paved runoff areas that reflect the real life changes around that time, and Eiger included its pit road, but other than that all those tracks are the exact same. Perhaps there are other minute changes I've missed but they're obviously the same track models used in Prologue.

From what we've seen so far in GT6, Grand Valley and Suzuka are clearly the same. Autumn Ring looks like they took the GT5 track model and touched it up quite a bit, but it's clearly the same base model.

I'd be very disappointed if they started from scratch instead of using that time to create brand new tracks. That's not to say I want the exact same track models in GT5, but they're good enough. Any touch ups are certainly encouraged, but the time it takes to create a track is too valuable to waste by recreating the same track.

On that note, I wonder if they'll update Spa and change the kerb colours from red and white to yellow and red (DHL sponsorship). I think we've seen Spa so far in trailers and it looks the same though, so I don't expect it. Plus it also says "SPA FRANCORCHAMPS 2011" on the podium or somewhere along the pit complex in GT5, and they've also labelled Le Sarthe as "2009," so I expect they'll just leave everything as is. Definitely not a big concern for me but personally I think it would be nice to update it. It feels a little strange seeing small differences like that in real videos and it would be very simple to update.

I'm thinking DLC(please let me be wrong). If we do get Mt Panorama at launch, I'm thinking only the track. The V8SC season ends Dec6-8. PD might be waiting to see who Gets the No.1 on their car(I posted in another thread) AND Volvo/Polestar have yet to reveal their entry. If we don't get the track at launch, it may well be a Bathurst Pack. ;) With ALL the manufacturers.

I can't wait to race on Bathurst with fellow Aussie & Kiwi GT players. It's gonna be freaking awesome :D

Well... It's not. The Indy road course has changed, I'll try to grab a link tonight that shows the changes- it's at the end of the twisty section before getting back on to the superspeedway, and it is a definite improvement.

@conquerer, do they not use this layout for auto racing? The racesimcentral link mentions that it is used by sports cars. Do they not run this layout clockwise? Does the GT5 layout still exist also?

They just changed the hour on track. In GT5 is something like 1 or 2 PM, when at GT6 is something like 5-6 PM on summer or 7-8 PM on winter.

Well, I was referring mostly to the circuit's surroundings -- the trees are more autumn-like, there are leaves on the grass, and possibly normal trees around the circuit have been a bit touched up. I guess it's not a big difference at all, but it's certainly noticeable whereas Grand Valley literally looks the exact same. Regardless of the time change, Autumn Ring looks different.

I'll edit this post..

Interesting... Waiting for your intel :sly:

The strip that was there in the middle-ish of the track remains?

I think he's referring to the Moto GP layout. The final series of corners, or maybe just the hairpin area right near the end, I can't remember, was modified. They also race the other way around. But I'm glad PD included the older F1 layout instead, especially with F1 cars in the game.
