You realize this is not a fair comparison right. One is on a PS3 the other is on a Xbox One. I would hope the graphics look better on a next gen. If not, its a fail for sure.

Gran Turismo is starting to show its age. GT1 looked photorealistic at its release. GT3 and GT5 the same. Now GT on PS3 is starting to look more and more like a game and less photorealistic now that we've seen other games with better graphhics.

Forza 5 = bluray. GT6 = DVD. Once you've spent enough tiime with bluray when you go back to DVD you'll be able to see all the flaws very clearly.

Granted, staying on an old console has its pros and cons, but I think GT6 still looks great.

FM5 E3 vs FM5 Retail

You do realize the PS3 was the first Blu ray console right. I agree that you don't go back. I don't watch dvd movies over blu ray movies if there's the option. Xbox just got blu ray so many are still accustomed to dvd quality. Again, the comparison being made is on last gen console system. When GT7 comes out, then make the comparison.

Comparative Gran Turismo 6 and Forza 5 silverstone, you can appreciate the high quality of the two juegos.Espero you like;)

a greeting

Doens't look like 2 dif generations of consoles. GT6 still have great graphics. The sinset lightning is great.
Forza 5 looks more fine tuned and that is just what we have to expect from a 4th gen console.

but than again, in this kind of game the core is its physics...

Assuming the retail version is the one on the right, it got far better looking since E3. Look at how much better the lighting on the faces of the buildings is, as well as the darker blacks on the rear of the car.

The retail version is the one to the left, I believe.

He hasnt compared them to show one is inferior.

I thought that too because i would assume that Microsoft would tart up their demo at the unviel to impress and the one on the left isnt mega impressive, A bit like on their add where they say "actual in game graphics" knowing many people will take that to mean actual gameplay graphics, I may be wrong however on the photos.

That's what a comparison is. It show flaws, it show something being inferior to the other. The two games are on two different consoles. It's meant to be a comparison as GT vs Forza always is. Even if it was GT5 vs GT6 or Forza 4 vs Forza 5, its still to show one being better. He even used the word Compare, well in his language that is.

Yes but you said its not a fair comparison, Its a comparison just for the sake of it and not to show one if better or inferior to the other for the sake of putting one game down. I think the guy knows they are on different gen consoles as you can see he has done comparisons to real lfe too but i suppose thats not fair too ey.

E3 is on the left. Apparently they had to downgrade a few things to achieve 1080 for launch.
So they made it more cartoony

E3 is on the right. I have compared videos of E3 and retail and retail is E3 is quite beefed up compared to retail

No. Retail is on the left.

The track looks really good in the game. The lighting looks great and more realistic than the E3 version. The E3 version is oversaturated like the previous Forza games.

The buildings shown in the picture were obviously downgraded. Other parts of the track have been upgraded and look far better than the E3 version.

The game looks great, especially for a launch game.

The best thing about the visuals however is the change of lighting. The cartoon style is gone.

I've not even got off the first page and I'm already bored of the arguing! Jeez.

Great comparison Digi, thank you.

Not sure what everyone else is looking at but first of all I'm seeing two brilliantly re-created tracks in great precision. Bravo to Forza and to GT.

The next thing I noticed was just how realistic the camera movement in GT6 looked. The camera in Forza looked very static comparitively. Of course I can't make assumptions about their relative physics performance from the vid as I dont know what car is being driven in Forza. I have no idea if the camera is dampened in any way on Forza either so I shouldn't draw any conclusions. It would seem at the least that GT has made considerable steps in trying to further advance the handling characteristics in this game though. Plus one for GT fans.

Going by how they both look I have to say that Forza immediatly looks absolutely stunning! Those reflections and the detail on the infield are incredible. I did wonder whether or not I would notice any difference at all between this and the next generation. Why I thought that I dont know! It seems hard to imagine I guess, as it has been with every generation.

GT6 looks great but it's no match for Xbox one at all. Obviously! I'm truely blown away, well done Forza and Xbox one! Great news for GT fans too looking forward to GT7. The car models as we know are next generation already. Imagine how the lighting engine and rendering will make the game look on PS4! It boggles the mind.

Great post. Both look fantastic considering their respective hardware. I wouldn't worry about the physics in FM5 it really is a big step up from FM4. One thing that doesn't get a mention too much is just how much of a difference the Drivatars make to the AI in FM5. It's a huge step forward to anything on console that has gone before and makes the single player experience an absolute dream. Pick any car on any track ramp the difficulty up and you have got a real race on your hands.

And? The track still looks better than in the E3 videos in other areas.

Nice try to derail the thread.

Derail? The OP's video appears to be GT academy build vs Forza E3 build. If true, entire basis of this thread is a misconception

To begin with, comparing two games of different console generation is already unfair :P

Not really, GT looks a lot smoother, where Forza is all jerky around corners. I would hazard a guess that Forza is using a controller with driver aids turned on. GT is using a steering wheel, with only ABS set on 1.

oh yeah the GT video was probably from the GT Academy demo? I kinda meant graphically unfair, eheheh. That's usually the one being compared most.:D
