Maintenance tor the last update was at 25th. They turned down servers for 2 hours and openly said it's maintenance for the update. What made you people think the maintenance for an update will be 2 3 days later instead of before the update lol.

Nope my tickets were basically lowest as always but my six star engine ticket changed to a new Camaro engine.

All my rewards changed after the update had dropped and became playable at 9am I know this because ticket I got the day before had the RS Trophy Renault and instead I got 30k in credits instead 😭 and my engine ticket from 1.19 changed to the roadster shop rampage engine instead of the 2JZ it was prior.

This is why I only ever keep the lowest cash pay-out tickets or invitations to spend many millions.

I only keep the tickets to get the new engine swaps regardless of the prize I just get unlucky sometimes and risk a good reward and get a worse one 😂 though I did get the F-1500T on a ticket so I had to keep that. I need another engine swap bonanza I’m sitting 450 engines I need to add even more to that with the new additions they have added. Toaster shop rampage has been the only new one I’ve got 😭 I hope it can go in something else in the future because I don’t want to waste it on a smelly delorean

Mine updated while I was at work, didnt know if this update counted as monthly maintenance as well.

I opened 1 of my tickets, and it was the same so I wasn't sure, especially since it was pre legendary refresh and I did not see the 2 other vehicles, yet.

After opening my "2nd chance" tickets, (saved since last update)

Rolled a bonanza hellcat engine to the new audi r5

Rolled a lt1 engine to Ford LM test

All the cars I recieved changed, but stayed within value, ex. Just a different gr3/4 car, but same class.

Same goes for parts. Purchasable high lift cam for c6vette 1st time, this roll got purchasable high lift cam for 911 gt3.

All gold rewards stayed the same. Invites to brand central may change, but theres only a few..

So, yes, this was the time to open "saved" tickets from 1.19 update before they expire.

Just hope now they have next maint. Before the 26th of next month, so I can roll the new update menu rewards that gave me another bonanza era motor.

I don't think they will ever let you buy the engine to swap. Or the special parts. Hoping to get a new engine one day keeps you playing. With bonanza they gave us the poison. Now they know we are addicted. And most importantly other than like 10 percent of people, if they let you buy an engine to swap, you will buy it all in one day. Upgrade em all. Not race more than 90 percent of em more than 10 min. Then your hunger will be pleased and you will never play. They know that. They keep the game and your hunger fresh. So all i hope is a new bonanza but thats not gonna happen either. They did it on purpose. I'm pretty sure some of the first guys that found the glitch and posted about it was DP itself. Maybe in a year to hunt and poison more players...

Agreed with everything except PD leaking the glitch themselves, though they intentionally left it when they could have patched it out within hours of it being found. PD plan to keep people playing is to provide new content monthly and also make some of the stuff in the game so that you have to play for a very long time to get it all. However, what they apparently don’t realize is that itself is actually driving people away. The new content takes maybe an hour to complete/acquire each month. People have realized, with the way things currently work, that they’ll never in the next 5 years be able to acquire even half of the stuff they want because of how broken the system is. All they’ll get is 5k, 30k, another car they don’t need and when lucky 500k or 1 mil. S parts and engines for swaps, the ones that people want/need, are nearly impossible to get. With their predictable schedule and plan for content updates more and more people are turning to playing this game a few days a month, usually around the update mainly for new content. The draw to come back every single day for that ticket has lost its power after several months as people have experienced it’s just not worth it with how little chance you actually get a decent reward. Of course this doesn’t apply to everyone, but that crowd continues to grow and will until PD makes significant changes to make the game actually enjoyable and rewarding, instead of frustrating and insulting. Not to mention the other issues with it that go untouched.

Maintenance isn't relevant. It's updates which change the list from which prizes are drawn, resulting in the change of ticket outcomes.

Updates cannot occur without maintenance, but maintenance certainly can and does occur without updates.

No, they weren't.

The last update was v1.20, which arrived yesterday on August 25th. The one before that was v1.19 on July 28th. The one before that was v1.18 on July 6th, but that wasn't a content update; the previous content update was on June 23rd.

In fact of all the updates to GT7 since launch, only one has been on the 28th, and that was v1.19 last month.

I remember back when we were doing motor and chassis swaps via computer and usb on ps3, z28 with lm chassis swap and nascar motor..

Within the 1st week or so it was all "hondas with red bull engines" melting tires..

Ffwd 10 yrs or so and we now have 1200 hp silvia, the mini k20 and the vw golf r5-

Graphics have gotten better, car selection has dropped..


now we need transmission swaps!

Agree with pretty much all this... I make the updates last a couple days, I.e. complete the marathon distance, but we're talking about an hours worth of play if that to complete the new events bar when they added to new endurance challenges. Beyond that it's checking the 2nd hand dealership for menu cars if needed every few days, maybe doing a Sardenga race here or there for a chunk of credits & taking new engine swapped cars for a spin/tune up.
Any engine tickets that don't deliver a new engine I save for the next update, so far I've hit at least 1 new engine each time by doing so. I've done my 50 online races for the achievement, but I've never been into GT for online racing, old stool in that regards I guess... I know Kaz has said this is all about a bigger vision over time but SP mode use to be soooooo vast even before Bspec mode came and went. Unless there is another bonanza/glitch or a change in approach I think I may never get all the engines they make available over the updates but I was happy to see them add new cars to some of the bonanza engines so hopefully that continues. I have some other games to keep me busy in the mean time whilst I wait for the long awaited return of the BTCC games to hopefully experience some proper 'rubbing is racing' type action.

You mentioned me but what i said about no logic was only about timing of maintenance. You openly claimed that can happen in 2 3 days after the update. It can't. It happens before the update. Doesn't matter what date it did last update, it again did it before the update.

The original Delorean couldn't hit 88mph. It could only hit 85mph.

I have the Golf swap. TBH it can't really get the power down even with the stock hp. Spins tyres. Might need full weight balance even then you can't keep up with supercars because you have to feather the throttle too little.

The Superbird feels like you are driving a boat on wheels. It has a very strange and peculiar steering characteristic and will kill you if your not careful. But you don't always feel the transfer of of momentum in corners. It feels kinda of like you are on an air mattress in cloud 9.

The RX7 I haven't tried that yet.

It will remain the same prize every time until there is a game update, then it will change

Yeah its just subjective really, I like it though. American power in a small, light British chassis is a tried and tested formula 💪

It's... a technically possible swap*, but I believe most of the handful of V8-swapped Tuscan 2s use LS engines and have a widened chassis, because the chassis rails the engine sits between are only two feet apart and there's no room for the exhaust (well... some, but not once you account for movement on the mounts). And because by the time you're swapping the engine you're doing a chassis rebuild anyway.

I've not heard of an LT4 Tuscan 2, but I'm sure it is feasible on the same basis. Therefore one exclamation mark


*All swaps are technically possible, but I mean without significant and externally visible structural changes; the Beetle/Porsche swap in GT7 is technically only possible if you remove the rear seats to give room for the engine cradle, but this doesn't appear to be reflected in the game...

Lately i always imagining things like - Instead of only obtain the swaps from tickets or perhaps simply buy the engine from shops (if this indeed happen in the future), wouldn't it be cool if we can buy any car at dealership and at the garage we can opt to scrap the said car to take the engine only? (I know it is an odd roundabout way of buying an engine, but oh well 🤣)

Loving the new engines and swaps in this update! Quad rotor RX-8 is awesome, Audi quattro S1 engine in the Mini is nuts, and intrigued to find out what that GT500 GT-R engine will go into!!
