The original Delorean couldn't hit 88mph. It could only hit 85mph.

I have the Golf swap. TBH it can't really get the power down even with the stock hp. Spins tyres. Might need full weight balance even then you can't keep up with supercars because you have to feather the throttle too little.

The Superbird feels like you are driving a boat on wheels. It has a very strange and peculiar steering characteristic and will kill you if your not careful. But you don't always feel the transfer of of momentum in corners. It feels kinda of like you are on an air mattress in cloud 9.

The RX7 I haven't tried that yet.
Is that actually true bout the DeLorean? I always assumed it was an ’urban legend’.

That sounds a lot like the Mini was until a proper tune was utilized.

My experience with the Superbird was that you have to drive it like the ‘drag queen’ she is. Get her straight before you give her the beans!

s1 engine in the golf
The audi pikes r5 20v in the 83 golf is pretty fun, similar to the mini, with couple hundred more!

Been using the mid turbo, 600ft lb torque makes for some nice acceleration.

bov sounds like punching a squeeky toy🤣😴(sneeze/squeeze)

At least it have the BOV sound :) For some reason the 2JZ Supra up to this day is still lacking the BOV :/ Regardles of the Turbo mounted, power output etc.

With the cars with swapped engines why cant you replace all of them? What i mean is,if i take my mini with the Civic engine fitted,go to the tuning shop, onto the extreme tab then i am able to pay and swap it for another new civic engine no issues, even though i still have one in my garage from a ticket. However some other engines show up as NA,eg,the Nissan engine, and the RX7.When,if,these get worn theres no way to replace them apart from a new one from the ticket system.

Agreed. If PD had made the engine swap a reusable part given that there is no way to grab a new one from a shop so easily. I'm all for interchangeable parts and engines. So I only have one Pikes peak engine which is in the Golf. It would be nice to swap it into another compatible car like the mini.

Totally agree, dont know why some can be replaced like for like and others cant.

I believe its because they came from legendary cars no longer in (mass) production....? The 787b for example, came from a legendary race car.

The only way to get new motor for your race car is roulette ticket or buy a new vehicle.
(Thank god most of us have dozens of 787b)!

Whereas the nismo is 2017, still in production, so can be bought..? Not sure if its the case for pre 00' used vehicles as well..

And I see what you mean about once its swapped, the swap becomes standard.

Buying from tuning shop new, yields a fresh k20 without using a ticket engine- because its already been swapped.

Same as the nismo swap,if you try to`buy`another engine on the extreme tab is says NA.

One other thing,i did the GT LM engine swap on my Focus RS.Engine sounded quiet so went to purchase the exhaust and it says purchased but i cant equip or unequip it.Strange, its not highlighted like other items.

If the motor came from race car-
(lm test/787b/sc430 etc.)

I believe it only has a racing exhaust option.

If the motor is from a road car-
(Nismo 17/13b/2jz etc.)

You have the ability to use the other mufflers, stock, sport, race..

Same goes for the turbo, race engines can only receive the mid/high if applicable, whereas the road cars have option for none/original, low,mid and high.

Thats my only complaint about the race motor swaps, no exhaust options.

But- I guess the fuel consumption is a trade off, the race motors definitely get more per tank!!!

Spot on. And the updated exhausts render accordingly. Noticed a little glitch in the regard on the Hellcat swapped Plymouth Superbird, the semi racing pipes clip through the floor pan / fire wall so are partially visible from the interior!

P.S. which by the way is an awesome swap. How I imagined this car to be in the first place given the description and styling. Widebody, 2way LSD, and front splitter for traction and it's great fun around Daytona Road.

Anyone else noticed there's seems to be a glitch rendering exhausts in general when viewing cars in the garage, sometimes they don't show up at all.

I seem to remember it was tested and the actual top speed was around 110 mph.

I believe that you can overhaul the engine through GT Auto if it gets worn.

The reason that I can see for not being able to buy a new engine is that the engines in question do not have irreversible modifications. For example, the 787B 26B engine cannot have increased bore (lol) or polished ports etc. which cannot be undone. Undoing such modifications are the only real reason for buying a new engine, otherwise you'd just use the engine overhaul option as it's much cheaper.

Seconded for rebuilding the engine. There are probably less than 20 of those 4 rotor Mazda engines. I'm sure one could be built from the plans and they built more than one per car.
After the races the engines were torn down anyway and inspected, so it's not like you're pulling a 787B off the track and swiping its heart and soul.
IRL the Coyote engine lasts at least 200,000 miles. I've seen F-150's with almost twice that many miles on that motor and they still run fine. Mine has 200k on the clock and it runs like a champ. I believe the Coyote is available as a crate motor from Ford. IMHO it should be an option to swap it into the Raptor and save a bit of weight plus change the steering response. There's room for a massive supercharger under my hood, too, so I imagine the same would be true in the game.

I haven't collected the engine ticket you get from the new menu book.
So if it sucks i can carry it over to next months update.
Likewise, waiting until the weekend/next week then will just buy the 2 cars i don't have. Being cautious just incase (if there is one) the September update runs late the ticket will still be valid if I get a bonanza engine first time around.

Of the new engines from the past couple months I've only got the Ford LM and the Nismo 500 and both came from rerolled tickets following updates. Nothing new from fresh tickets so far but I just cba playing the game every day at the mo doing the same events just to get a 3 star 10k ticket most of the time despite having collector points well over 100k 😠

It's not true. The DeLorean had a higher top speed, but the speedometer only went to 85, due to a law at that time in the US market.

I really hope for a new bonanza.. since the update all I got was 5k or an invite for Porsche where I still had a valid one.. at this way it will twke years and years to get the desired swaps or parts. How is it possible to have 5x high rpm turbo for the gt-r safety car, but not a single one for any else car.. big bore for the Delorean, 6 times now.. getting kinda frustrating now that it is almost imposible to get the right parts or engines, because it is 'luck-based'

What sucks about this update dropping the 24th, if you did your new menu books the day of upate or after, the ticket expires 1 month minus-1 day-

I opened my 2 new tickets the 25th, so they expire 9/24... then got a daily marathon engine ticket on the 27th, expires 26th..

--hope next update happens before tickets expire!!! Alot of us will miss our 2nd chance..--

Next update may have to procrastinate on opening any new tickets!! 🎟

Yea, I screwed the pooch with that one myself. I just got all anxious and confident that I wouldn’t get hosed, lesson learned.

I'll note August has 31 days, so a 30-day time limit on tickets would do exactly that.

Further, if PD sticks with the last Thursday update schedule, you wouldn't be able to hold onto the tickets until the next major update anyway as it is 5 weeks/35 days between the last Thursday of August (8/25) and the last Thursday of September (9/29). Blame the Romans for not having the lengths of the months (except for February...in non-leap-year years) be tied to the number of weeks.

Im guessing the thing where you save your tickets and open them after the next update only works / changes your prize if the update has added more potential prizes / engines?

Anyone had success with it after a normal server maintenance / bug fix update?

Yeah it’s always after a major update the normal bug fix updates it doesn’t change. But you can always check to see and if it hasn’t just close the game and don’t claim the prize

Never knew you could not claim prize and shut off game. Stuck with the Rampage (holding on to it for now) but hopefully they update more usable cars for it and other swaps.
