Most of these swaps make no sense and have never been done in real life. 😆
Quite the opposite, in fact. Almost all of those that haven't been done are technically feasible without major structural alterations, but quite a lot of them have been done - as noted upthread.

There's no particular reason you can't put a 2.5-litre Suzuki V6 into a Lancer, because V6 Lancers are already a thing from the factory (depending on the trim and market), but also because a transverse-mount V6 will fit into the space of a transverse-mount i4, so long as there's enough depth.

The only exceptions I've encountered are the VR38 into a Lancia Delta Integrale (incredibly unlikely to have been done in real life, due to the value of Deltas, and the VR38 is a tough fit into an engine bay that small and would likely need to be low and tilted forward), and the LT-swapped Tuscan which probably needs the chassis rails rebuilt wider like the handful of LS-swapped Tuscans out there. The Beetle/Porsche swap has been done but, unlike in GT7, it needs the back seats removing and an elongated engine cradle to fit in the body... or to stick two cylinders out of the open engine cover...

EVO X? Negative.
Quite, but I didn't say that it did. I said "V6 Lancers are already a thing from the factory (depending on the trim and market)". The Evolution X would be a trim, which comes with the same four-pot turbo as all the other Evos.

That aside, the Evo X is based on the Mitsubishi GS platform and there's very, very many cars using that platform and a V6 engine - and not just Mitsubishis either.

Once you'd accounted for engine mounts, a middling 2.5-litre Suzuki V6 would have absolutely no trouble fitting in the engine bay in any orientation. You'd need to route the turbocharger pipework creatively though.

I remember friends of mine wanting me to put the FTO engine in my ’98 Mirage hatch. My car would have blown up just looking at it.

Possible, but a lot of them are still dumb and random AF 🤣. Given the current pattern, I doubt they're gonna stop just giving one new engine choice for each car. I'm dying to build a GT86 drift car with superior LS / LT powahhh 💪😏 (either NA or supercharged though which rules the drift BRZ out) and a big obnoxious wing on the back.

I'll probably have to use a TVR or V8 Vantage engine or something random like that instead though 😅

I'd prefer common swaps first over what we've been getting.

The last Lancer to offer a V6 option was the fifth gen, I believe. No Evo models (I - VI) of course but there once were V6 Lancers, nonetheless.

[Edit: unnecessary fill… I just noticed Famine already made a more elaborate response.]

I think it would definitely fit with a little work here and there of course. Only thing is it would have to be a replica engine
Can I just say how nice the R8 swapped TT is to drive! I know it’s likely due to it being AWD, but still!!
Good to know. I am gonna check this one out too.

Well. Special as it was, the base V6 engine(s) are still Suzuki H-series. H25 in this case. So if one would attempt a swap IRL there are motors out there. Not fully built to Monster-spec of course, but as a clean sheet to begin with, and probably adapt for making good power a bit closer to sea level, i suppose.

God.... We need a glitch again... I feel that We will never get those engines in a life time..
I'm tired...
😓
Definitely, but I think we got lucky with a happy accident that they then decided to leave unfixed. I didn't score any new engines with either of my rerolled tickets from the previous update. More swaps for bonanza engines is what's needed to start eating into the massive pool of acquired engines. We got a couple this time at least, plus a few more events that I can spread out over a couple of daily marathons to try and acquire tickets. Beyond that and another bonanza it's just buying the cars for menu's when they become available then waiting for the next update.

Here's a tune for those of you who would like your very own almost-300 mph kei car.

A word of warning, though - you'll need that ultra-high turbo. And make sure you flip the transmission.

Oh yes! The fun has begun!
Having never seen any superturbo of any kind I guess I’ll have to try an antilag, while waiting.

Just one question though: what does ”flip the transmission” mean?

I have a strong feeling that once the Autozam makes it into the game, it'll get the same 13B swap that the Cappuccino recently got. If this is the case, I'd also like to see an F20C swap for the Beat and S660, and something for the Copen too. These little Kei cars need a big boost!
The Copen would cope well with the GR Yaris 3-pot, I think.

It's a way to change the top speed while keeping the gear ratios the same. But it's mostly used to lengthen the gear ratios further than they'd usually go.

What you have to do is set the final drive as high as it will go - which I'm pretty sure is 6.500 - then set the Max Speed, and re-extend the final drive to its opposite limit, which I think is 3.500. After that, you can freely change the gear ratios.

It's a classic trick from the GT5 drag racing days, and possibly even before that.
