Where can you suggest engine swaps? I have a really bold idea...

How about the Silvia S15 Touring Car engine (SR20DET-Silvia-TC) for the Honda S2000? It's an inline 4 engine that makes decent enough power.
Another engine that I can see working is the RB26 from the R34 Skyline, as it supports a very high RPM turbo, giving it an insane amount of power.

Erm, we don't suggest them... They get dreamt up by PD and implemented whenever and however they feel 🤷🫠

Engine swaps do not make any visible changes to the cars you put them on - the only exceptions is that the racing engines come with the racing exhaust automatically applied, so the visual changes of that will obviously apply to the car, but they are the racing exhaust that comes with the car you're swapping in to.

Famine, would be really nice if you put the swap prices on the first post, I believe it will be very helpful to a lot of members.
I have this info - give me an hour to get the kids to school

Hey @jonoholland29 , thanks a lot for the full list here, you’re a real chap

Just an observation if perhaps the list is used somewhere else and to be sure to understand it well
To indicate for new players the distinction ( as in a guide sense)
That engine is for engine indicative value in garage part list
Cost is for the GTauto « quoted » value for installement without owning the engine

And a final note* that the car value is subject to change for legendary car dealership
Then it is good to go as a full guide

The list is only used by me. I’m happy for @Famine to do what he wishes with it.

I’m working on prize fund list now

Engine swaps do not make any visible changes to the cars you put them on - the only exceptions is that the racing engines come with the racing exhaust automatically applied, so the visual changes of that will obviously apply to the car, but they are the racing exhaust that comes with the car you're swapping in to.
Yeah noticed it with the K20 '70 Abarth. Felt PD could at least do visual swaps for the more expensive cars. Pretty sure PD would have photographed every engine from cars they scanned. I Guess manufacturers said no to visually replacing an engine from another manufacturer.

It's also a lot harder than you'd think. To achieve this properly they would need to model every engine-swappable car with a visible engine without the engine in it as well as modelling every swappable engine outside of the car. This is not overly feasible, and likely not worth the time investment.

For example, imagine asking if someone can just whip the engine out of a Chiron for you to take some quick reference snaps? ;)

Random question and probably not the right thread. But now that we can engine swap the honda nsx what model is best to use to recreate the ‘00 castrol mugen gt500? Would it be the ‘92 or ‘02 model? Or does it even matter?

I thought from his list, car (purchase price) + engine (GT Auto price) = cost (total of car plus GT Auto install).

Correct 👍🏻 albeit there’s no way for the car prices to remain accurate as (of course) they fluctuate - and once I’ve bought a car or done an engine swap, I’m not updating the prices. The list was purely for me to budget

For my 2JZ-swapped GR Yaris, I will say that I won the engine rather than buying it, but man, I think this is definitely the best swap in the game. As far as I'm concerned, it can be used for numerous PP limits, and its AWD is always welcome for dirt/snow events - especially with a torque controller. Plus, it seems relatively affordable at 210k credits.

It's not like we can even use tuned cars in Sport Mode events 99.999% of the time anyway, let alone one with an engine swap. I find it far better to just rent cars whenever you can, anyway. But if I had to pick one engine swap that's worth spending credits on, it's the GR Yaris with the 2JZ. Plus, not only do you get a free GR Yaris in one of the "base" menus, but if you wanted a spare, the car itself is also relatively affordable. (Now, if we could put the GR Yaris or GR Corolla engine into the Sprinter Trueno, that'd be amazing.)

As far as any other engine swap goes, I'm perfectly fine just winning them by chance, as I recently did with my second Rampage Camaro engine. Planning to swap that into a spare 240ZG that I had in Grand Prix Red, as I put my first one into an Amuse 380RS.

My only gripe with the Yaris is that it doesn't have enough front downforce with all the aero parts. If it had as much front downforce as the GR Corolla, it would've been perfect.

There was a thread here.

1.43 engine swaps:
  • 2017 Nissan GT-R (the base, not the NISMO) gets the LS7-BRZ (2017 Subaru BRZ Drift Car) engine
  • 2018 Suzuki Jimny XC gets the K14C-Swift (2017 Suzuki Swift Sport) engine which is a new engine to be swapped
  • 2022 Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO Edition gets the 2JZ-GTE-Supra (1997 Toyota Supra RZ) engine
  • 1988 Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A also gets the 2JZ-GTE-Supra (1997 Toyota Supra RZ) engine
  • 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno 1600GT APEX (AE86) gets the 3S-GTE-MR2 (1997 Toyota MR2 GT-S) engine
Edit - The patch notes repeated the MR2-to-Corolla AE86 swap from last month. I double-checked the suggestion that it is the Sprinter now also getting that engine, and indeed it does. Thanks for the catch @Zenwarrior and @05XR8.

isn't Corolla Levin is last update swap? So this update just have 4 new swaps? or is it a typo?

The 2JZ in the A70 Supra will probably make me start playing GT again, been waiting for this!
