which version of the game do you have. PAL or NTSC?

GT has a history of having different songs for american games versus their PAL counterparts. On PAL Couldve sworn they changed up the menu music in certain spots. Added. Song or two into the rotation of what plays in the menus. Added in new samples to give certain songs new life. was different from 2 updates ago. Pretty minor changes people returning to the game probably couldnt tell. Theyve done this with a few updates. Small changes to the menu songs. This update was one of them. Might not have any changes on NTSC
You're living in the past mate. Everyone gets the same version now.

What the swaps refer to:
  • Demon to GTO: Dodge's relationship with Mitsubishi at the time, which resulted in Dodge Stealth rebadge
  • SR20DET to S13 Q's: 1991 PS13 K's (again)
  • VK45DE to S15 TC: NASCAR cars, albeit with lower displacement (given Rear Wing Type B)
  • R26B to ND NR-A: Mad Mike's "RADBUL"
No GT4586 reference, though. Felt they don't want to piss off Ferrari, though they let the 458 swap for the 4C slide somehow.
Just realized too that the R26B swap for the Roadster TC is likely based on the Kageisen/NOPRO Roadster GT300, except that only ran a 13B on the actual car.

Welp. won it first try so that answers that 😅
Cars like the GTO, NSX and S13 have weirdly low drag values so they get abnormally high top speeds compared to many other cars. On the other end of the scale, my 1200hp '69 Charger barely gets above 225mph. (it does have max downforce though)

The Evo GRB engine isn't a bad swap for endurance racing. Obviously it doesn't touch the efficiency of the Jag/Skyline true enduro engine swaps etc. But it does net you about 20% further per tank over stock engines tuned to the same ~500bhp.

Here's one I found: Toyota 2JZ-GTE, compatable with the Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15).

Found no other compatable cars so far, have checked the likes of the 86 range, GR Yaris, A70 and A90 Supras, Crown, Celica, Mazda's FRs and a bunch of others.View attachment 1120347
Oh man i wish PD makes it easier for us to get the engine swaps! The current roulette system is terrible

Great job just need to add ruf arrange cars in order displayed in game and add gr ."4 " to toy. 86. ! Total count would be nice as well. Keep up the great work really makes getting this achievement easier!!

Now that some cars can, in fact, get more than one engine, I'm actually pretty excited. Not only could other engines like the one for the Aventador SV get even more chances to become compatible, but then there's the factor that some cars could get more interesting or thematically-appropriate engines. For example, that newly-added HiAce could get the LFA engine, like the Alphard did.

Personally, I still had some engines laying around that're only compatible with a single model, namely the aforementioned Aventador SV engine, but also the LS engine for the Corvette C6 ZR1, and I think the latter could be a perfect fit for other older GM vehicles, like the Pontiac GTO Judge.

I wish they would make the Coyote engine compatible in more than the Pantera and Mach 1. I think I still have 15 stockpiled from the bonanza...

I'm just curious why you've quoted the two random posts you have quoted and what the rest of it means.

There's no Ruf cars that can accept new engines, so they're not listed. A Ruf-origin engine can go into two other cars and that is listed, under "Ruf" in the engines list. The car ordering isn't really relevant to anything - and is inconsistent in the game in any case, so I've done it in a more comfortable and easy to browse format (adding and rearranging some information to make it more clear and consistent): alphabetical, then generational where at least some cars have a generation listed, then alphabetical again. And the Toyota 86 Gr.4 is listed as such, twice; there are other non-racing 86s in the list too.

I hear the K24 goes best into an FR car, so between the three cars that are compatible with the engine, I wonder which one is best between the S2000, the Sileighty, and the 86 GT ‘15? Or is it a case where you can’t really go wrong between the three of them?

EDIT: Alternatively, maybe the idea of putting it into one of the non-FR cars it’s compatible with isn’t a bad idea, either, like the Integra Type R or even the 2005 Mini Cooper.

personally I'm not a fan of k24 swap in this game because some of the swaps can get or have got "better" engine like the 86 with 2jz or sileighty should get nissan engine like r35 engine or gt500 engine, but for me Sileighty and Civic is the best for k24 swaps in this game

Now looking back, the 86 GRMN/SC430 GT500 swap seems to be based on the GT300 Mother Chassis cars (since they ran GTA-badged, albeit Nissan-built, 4.5 V8 engines; one of bodies made for Mother Chassis was a first-gen Toyota 86) - however I was unable to build one to 800 PP territory without turbocharging it.

Hmmm...I did the HR-414E swap for the '02 NSX, but I don't know if it can fully handle the power or if I'm going to have some instability no matter what I do, same case with the Cayman(granted that's a lot more powerful)...

I have to ask, does the LSD actually work in this game, cause I swear it makes zero difference whether I have it at maximum or not equipped.

You say weirdly low coefficient of drag and then compare it to a 69 charger...

Have you ever seen them compared? The NSX, GTO and S13 are FAR more aerodynamic than the brick of a dodge.

Don't get me wrong, I love the dodge, but aerodynamic it aint

An LS for the Volvo, how utterly uninspiring. Come on PD, have an imagination!
and not just any LS7 but an over tuned 1000+hp version. There is still no way of giving the 240 power anywhere between 350-500hp. How did they manage to even mess up this one..🤣

They really should stop putting these drift/sema engines anywhere and use the base model engines that people can tune as they wish. Have PDI ever seen what kind of engine swaps people do in real life? These insane combos are only for shows and drifting. A base version of LS7 or LT4/5 would have worked and the T5 would have been perfect.

Didn't realise that they had gone with that one, that's especially disappointing.

Just completely overshot into the realm of utterly pointless.
