This is probably my boldest prediction for an update so far. I’m predicting this not necessarily for the next update, but certainly for a future one.

Given Polyphony’s smart strategy used to bring the F3500-A to life in GT7, I can definitely see them working in a similar way to bring back NASCAR in an unlicensed form. Coming up with a generic model and then add some alternative parts to reference each manufacturer.

For example, let’s take late Gen 4 NASCAR cars and call it “Gran Turismo V8-SC4” just for fun. (SC for stock car and 4 for Generation 4)

Default parts referencing the Monte Carlo.

Type A parts referencing the Charger.

Type B parts referencing the Taurus.

I also can see the default livery created by PD not containing any headlights and grill decals to keep it more generic-looking until we put our hands on it.

…and the rest is history.
Oh you wouldn't know berzerk I'd go if they'd actually do it.

This honestly could work better with the CoT they had during the PS3 era, in vein of F1500T-A being made out of the 97T - in this case, the splitter/nose and spoiler/wing (the former was used only in GT5 trailers) being GT Auto parts.

EDIT: Also a Gen 4-style stock car would be probably split into two or three types - your proposal is for 2000-2007 (Cup) spec; when I saw it, I originally thought about how late 90s Gen 4 would fit until I realized it would need to be split to a separate car.

Hey, I mentioned another Honda and two BMWs. :sly:

Didn’t think it would be the first Honda car, but seems about right with all the Honda videos I was seeing in my feed. :)
