I was right! Based on the World Tour livestream, Suzuka has had its scenery updated with its new track logo etc
Where the Fuji changes documented? I think they may have mentioned the new logo's & branding.

I'm pretty certain Tokyo has had subtle upgrades since release. It used to be really underwhelming even in night conditions. Now it looks great even when overcast. Le Mans is the one track in real need of an update.

BTW, some pretty strong hints at surprises at tomorrows GTWS event around the 13 minute mark.

I ran that race and very light rain towards the end of the race, but no need to change tyres. It was brief. I kept looking at the clouds from the start of the race and nothing happened through to my first pit stop.
I done it 3 times today.

First - Heavy rain starts in lap 2 and ends on lap 14.
Second - Rain not heavy or light comes in on lap 2 till lap 12.
Third - No rain at all it got cloudy and that's all.

Is there a CRB for this race? How long does it take to do?

How is that on me when the car is in auto drive and if you look at the gif frame by frame there is no line cutting.
Might've been that you did it on entry (Similar to how if you hit the pit wall as you come in at Fuji on GT Sport, you got a penalty on exit).

Entering the pit after the PIT sign (or after the dotted line)

Although I don't think it's consistent. I remember doing a race on the new HSR event that I literally went in at the very last second over the line and got no penalties.

I'd love to prove you wrong, I'll start now! :D
This video segment was showing off fancy new Sony cameras, GT7 and photogrammetry. It's not GT6 Matterhorn development stuff from 2011-13, it's the Eiger, and the Eiger Nordwand track debuted in GTHD, in 2006! It looks like PD went back, in the last 5 years.
Besides the three new models and Alpine point cloud, they also show Laguna Seca's wireframe and 360° footage from Spa, the last two locations added to GT Sport in 2019, lending more evidence to this being relatively recent, and hopefully meaning Eiger Nordwand is coming back to Gran Turismo some year soon.

I'm also quite intrigued by the banana leaves, pineapples and other tropical plants shown being scanned, as that lines up with what we know about their track creation process, and I'm extremely keen for a tropical track, especially on a certain island...
Here are some screenshots from this video. Very intriguing stuff.

Can anyone tell me if a pineapple asset, giant banana/tropical leaves etc have been used in any circuit in the GT franchise? Especially GT5 and onwards.

But what is extremely intriguing is this...

Maybe this is where we'll find the pineapple haha. Or maybe not. Remains to be seen.

This would seem to be a brand new Polyphony-Original circuit, with a number of layouts to rival Lago Maggiore.
Likelihood is extremely low, but with the way it's layed out it could even be some kind of free roam map.
Could even be rally, I don't know lol it could be anything.

As seen on the left in some of the images, they seem to be using the smooth-binding junctions that they've shown off with Watkins Glen in another tech video recently.

If it's something else entirely then please correct me, or even if this is some kind of real road/circuit.
It reminds me a bit of Potrero de los Funes in Argentina, but it's not that.

Please correct me if I am mistaken, and this is something else entirely.

Not sure if this track had banana leaves in particular, but it did have palm trees, and overall, this is giving me big Tahiti Road/Maze vibes. Even the outer layout is similar to Tahiti Road from GT2 (image from the GT Wiki):

I don't know. If this was a Tahiti circuit I'd imagine it being located nearer the ocean like before. The topography seems a bit off for that.

The tropical plants would still mean we can't rule out the possibility of a Tahiti circuit, but I think that this new circuit is seperate from that, and something else entirely.

I also just remembered that we have Tahiti as a scapes location in-game already, but with scapes you wouldn't need to collect/scan plantlife etc, since they are on-sight photos.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that it was near the ocean. Hmm. Maybe it’s like the other reimagined circuits and the scenery is different, perhaps it’s further inland? Or a new original circuit, yeah. Either way, I’m down for a new rally track if it is that, or a road course set in a dirt environment. I know the physics aren’t great, but I enjoy rallying in the game. Very little grip, but swinging the momentum around is fun.

Maybe it'll be a road circuit with several dirt layouts attached to it, like El Capitan and its Cathedral Rocks offshoots. That would be pretty unique.

Personally vastly prefer real world tracks.
And Eiger Nordwand & Tahiti are probably at the bottom of the list of original tracks I’d like to see again.

That’s just me though.

He's referring to his article on the Eiger evidence :)

No confirmation yet obviously, but it's fair to be perhaps cautiously optimistic that it's making a appearance sooner or later 🏁
Though even still, it could be for GT8, we know that's in development at the moment. Whilst promising, it's probably best to not expect it for GT7 and if it comes to GT7 then that's great.

He essentially raged quit at the end of his stint and started his teammate Bonelli off with a 3 second pitlane penalty when it was his turn to race.

To be fair it was a really dirty race. But yeah, not cool.
