I am still far from proficient on many tracks we already have so I don't mind not being showered with new tracks, IMHO it is more about what to do and with what cars that makes a track enjoyable and I don't mind re-using a track a lot, as long as I have fun on it.

And there's been a lot of tracks I used to dislike and thus not use much, where I changed my mind, wether being "forced" to use them on TTs, or with the Titans during our sunday races.

As for cars, I feel a bit the same than with tracks. Lots of them are unused and I have plenty to discover and learn.

On the other hand there are a lot of things that could be improved in this game if only PD cared to :

  1. AI and race format (chase the rabbit, rubberbanding, fair-play)
  2. Career, championships, utility of most licenses
  3. Economy
  4. Roulette
  5. Invites
  6. Selling engines and parts
  7. Collector level not improving beyond 50 (and tickets stats improving accordingly)
  8. Distance driven absent
  9. Better filters while browsing cars to sell
  10. Better filters while browsing the showcase
  11. ...

The things I could pat PD on the back for would be:

- Shopping Cart.
I should be able to add as many cars to a shopping cart my acquired credits allow.

- one click car upgrades that coincide with Styles.
If I can add a whole bunch of parts and skins to a car, all the performance upgrades I bought for said car should transfer just the same. We even get a notification advising additional parts will cost X Credits before accepting a Style from another player.

- one click performance settings transfer.
I literally zone out when I adjust settings on twenty, thirty, forty of the same car after I buy them. Let me select and click my duplicates to apply same set up in one go.

I'm not asking for much.

I'd like to see Custom Races improved, and especially the requirement to own multiple copies of the same car just to be able to run different liveries.

At the moment, one can race against a full field of the same car (with the same livery), so creating 'temporary dupes' is clearly not the problem. But if you want these to have custom liveries, they need to be selected from the garage with the livery already applied. Being able to create temporary duplicates and apply different liveries would make Custom Races much easier/quicker to set up.

-

I also thought about one-click car upgrades, and figured that the Tuning shop could have car-specific tuning packs, like Manthey for the Porsche 911. That would be pretty cool, and much easier than manually adding parts and then tuning the car.

Many of us say it's so weird of PD to not add certain options. The Favourites option is not implemented well. If we could access a favourite livery while building a one make grid, that'd help.

We save a Style, but if it's a widebody, I can't transform a normal body car to the Style in one click. Nice that I get a notification to advise the widebody Style won't work on the normal car. Just go the next step and ask if I'd like to proceed with the complete widebody and Style conversion.

Speaking of Custom Races, I'd surely be sounding like a broken record with this one, but all cars being available as rental cars in Quick Race, Time Trial, Drift Trial and Custom Race could work hand in hand with this one.

Especially with the car selection of the opponents in Custom Races, similarly to Assetto Corsa, you can hand-pick their cars as well as their pre-set colors and liveries, like for example, should you wish to do a one-make race, you should be able to do just that.

I also like the idea of "duplicating" cars, like in Midnight Club 3. That way, you can design and build multiple styles of the same car without breaking the bank.

Amen !

I haven't thought about it much, but there really are a shocking amount of QoL features that PD have left to the wayside - even some that were in previous games!

We can't apply upgrades in the settings menu when we could in GT5 and 6. When trying to enter a track with the wrong set of tyres, the game doesn't offer to switch the tyres for us, while GT4 featured it loud and proud. The 0.0 camera sensitivity option from Sport hasn't even been mentioned since. It's almost like they don't want you to do things outside of the dedicated places for such things!

Agree with most of this except for not being showered with new tracks. Watkins Glen was a nice update, Road Atlanta kept me very interested for a lot longer than anything else in game. I get licensing can be an issue, as much as I’d like to see Donnington, I’m ok being showered with original tracks. Even newly made up tracks. Bring back track editor.

I’ll add to your list,

11-Custom HUD or toggleable on/off

12-Tune sharing

13-Metallic decals (even if limited or can only use metallic decals if base paint is solid)

14-Championship races, but with a friend or two.

15-Custom race AI fixes and tire choice for AI, and then allow custom race sharing

16-Rain on more tracks, why on earth does goodwood not have rain?

17-Ability to apply any of our liveries for that car on any tune in lobby

18-Centralize tuning and the settings page, include more info on settings page which is missing. Some can be found in tune shop, some in settings, some in garage.

19-For the love of god, please show us what tires we currently have on our vehicles in our garage

20-More options to sort our garage, rename favourites lists. 10 or unlimited.

21-Lobby room adjustments, let us type numbers not scroll or both.

22-Include AI into online lobbies to fill out a grid some.

23-Better window tinting effects, the latest BMW’s windows tint great, every other car goes more flat grey. Don’t believe me, try it on the new BMW that came out with the last update. Black decal, reduce transparency. It looks so good. (Window tint)

One thing I would like to nice but I know it probably won't happen is in custom race it would allow to set ai level for each car. That may not appeal to everyone but I think being able to tweak AI behavior even if is something as simple as passive, normal or aggressive that would make custom races a little bit more interesting IMO

Project Cars had this. It’s a shame GT7 just has three levels and professional can sometimes be too easy. It’s also a shame how we are stuck with that stupid tire system in custom race. I forget what it is, but it’s something like they all get sports hard tires?

They could let us do the work, tune a car for Sophy to drive, log its lap times, tweak the car until the lap times are consistent with our car. Share race. If it’s too slow for somebody they can simply detune the car a little.

I did some custom races and sophy races. The AI is unpredictable and I swear to god they’re magnetic, as you come up on them, no matter where you are, they move into your line, sometimes even completely running into you. They also move during a corner. Not to hold a line but to straight up block you. It’s annoying.

100% agree with you, I was thinking about some of those points but my list was long already. Custom HUD (expecially for VR) is a no-brainer. Tune sharing also. Grrrr metallice decals of course !! The lengthes I go to make liveries with metallic decals that are in fact holes in the layer of stickers that reveal the metallic paint of the body...

And I could go on agreeing until the end.

And I would not mind getting more tracks and cars, but I'd prefer my list (plus yours) be fixed before more content.

Yeah, agree. I’ll never say no to tracks, but custom HUD, tune sharing, metallic decals, better AI and rain on all tracks would enhance the game further. It’s like bringing new content without bringing new content. Can make the game feel fresh again. If better AI was dropped in an update, I’d probably go through the championships again.

Yeah, it's baffling...
Like this little and easy one from GT6, update 1.14 :

AI definitely have a “driving in the mirrors” programming.

This is never going to happen. You can't expect to get cars for free!

I personally want those:
I want more options in the chase view settings.
1. Being always level or leans along with the car
(GT5 (Ver.2.02 and 2.03 only) and GT7 have the latter one, while most of GT games have the former one.)
2. Follows the car's direction or follows the moving vector
(GT2 had this setting)

Maybe we would have seen it if Nissan had given a 3D model of this car to PDI a few weeks or months later?

Nissan GT-R Premium (US) '17: Base
Nisaan GT-R Safety Car: Front license plate
Nissan GT-R Premium edition T-spec '24: Side markers, interiors etc.

More than new cars the game needs new tracks

They can get away with adding new helmets and wheels - the Pokal wheels are a great addition.

They need to have the Speedline Five Spoke Centrelocks because a lot of cars don't look period correct when trying to make them look race spec with the existing wheel options.

Carrying over from the Undocumented Changes Thread (Update 1.49/1.50, not 1.52):
They've got another work to make it perfect.
Noticed too late, but they had fixed the missing stripes on the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car. (Not in 1.52 but in 1.49)
Before:
FXwaGDjaAAAVuWy

FXwaHGnUcAE6Auj

After:
GayjDe-aAAIh5HA

GayjDxMaoAAQCcI

...But now, it has excess side stripes only on the left side.
