Loved the shots mimicking the past games like the leaves and stands from the first one, the engine from the third one and the rotating Porsche in place of a Ford GT from the 4th one. The sound of Moon over the Castle was a nice touch! Can't wait for the car list. =)

I did notice that there is no ray-traced reflections in photomode and the mirrors don't reflect the car interior\ exterior like in the first trailer.

I think the big worry is just not any PS4 information or game play. Guess we'll hear about it later but I don't know if it will be on par with what PD usually likes to do unless it's another GT6 performance fiasco. I can understand cars and tracks and straight up content due to the whole of Japan being very incompetent with the virus, but this is quite honestly a bit unsettling

But why? As if the variety of tracks that we currently have and will have ain't good enough.
Because normally a new title brings novelty, new tracks. And as of now it looks like they're only bringing back the two classic GT circuits. Not even Seattle.
As for real life tracks, people have been wanting some of these for quite some time, for example: Road Atlanta, Road America, Mugello, Silverstone (was in GT6), Sebring...

Not really, no. There are countless holes in the current lineup. Plus it's all about that fresh and new experience of new tracks on a new game.

So far we've seen literally no new tracks, just three returning tracks.

In classic GTP fashion the GT side of the forum went from full ecstasy and excitement to endless amounts of complaining.

About tracks and cars amount between GTS and GT7, I think we should consider some of cars and tracks may not return. License stuff, you know.

I doubt they're hiding anything trackwise. People still don't remember stuff like the placeholder sounds. They're bound to be delayed due to work loads being messed up.

Complaining about the complainers is even more annoying to be frankly honest. Let them be. They have good points.

They have to be hiding stuff, only adding a few new tracks makes no sense compared to their DLC output for GT Sport.
Plus unless I'm missing it there is no future of the "past, present & future" promise. Scapes, livery editor etc is the present, same old GT Mode/license tests/car upgrades is the past, what are the new/future features and ideas?

No sign of anything right now.

Looking forward to seeing some info on the official wheel, I hope it’s the fanatec csl dd. My G29 had a good run but I need to upgrade.

Do people realise that the pandemic restrict travel? which means that scanning cars and especially tracks is going to be hard?

Considering GTS have more than 30 tracks and 100 cars added in 2 years, I'm going to assume that the pandemic is whats causing the low amount of new tracks.
I really wish more people would understand this. We couldn't even leave our houses to go to the park, what makes people think PD could travel worldwide to scan cars and tracks? Just relax, enjoy it for what it is and look forward to future free content updates like we were so spoiled with in GT Sport.

(Errr, by the way Jordan, any chance Hampton Downs is on PD's radar for post-pandemic track scans....?) ;)

Honestly I don't see the point in people complaining about a game that's several months out. Might as well wait until closer to release when we have a better idea of what we're working with.
Because the website is already telling us what the final game will contain in terms of cars and tracks. It's not going to change.

But certainly there are many other aspects of the game they haven't shown yet. That we have to wait and see, but the main numbers are locked in.

My first impression is they have put more effort into the UI than the driving model. Not surprising considering this is GT, so I’m not too bothered.

Though, the racing sequences still appear to be stuck in 2007. I wouldn’t be surprised if simulation improvements will be very subtle and that haptic controller feedback is where most gameplay focus has gone.

Either Kaz forgot, discarded that idea, or maybe it's being saved for the next trailer. Those are my random guesses.

The pandemic brought lockdowns and restrictions out of China since February-March 2020. GT7 has been in development for years (in my book, since GTS development). I highly doubt they would have waited 2020 (basically, "last minute") to start scanning tracks. It requires a lot of time to work on.

Most of the new tracks and cars they've worked on since GTS was released were added to Sport. I think it's around 2019? when they stopped adding things to Sport. So most of the tracks that are going to be new were probably worked on from 2019-now. Which means they're probably affected by the pandemic

Final clip confirms that the once survey-exclusive Gr.4 Supra will be returning (hopefully with ways to obtain it within the actual game) and reinforces the possibility of multiclass racing in some form. Offline multiclass might probably turn out to be like the Gr.2/Gr.1 championships in GT Sport's GT League, but we'll see.

Looks like a Group 3 / Group 4 multiclass at Le Sarthe? Neat, but kind of silly when it should be prototypes and Group 3...

You mean nerf those cars? GT1 spec cars still have a lot of power and torque compared to GT3 cars at the moment, and GT500 cars even in the late 90s are insanely lightweight. In comparison GT3 cars are very heavy and also are already nerfed by the Pirelli tires in some cases. You can see this in IMSA where GT3 cars still don't catch up with GTLM cars due to the weight differences, aero differences and even tire compound differences.
Yeah, PD's class groupings are pretty loose, but overall it's clear that Group 1 is sports prototypes, Group 2 is silhouette cars, Group 3 is top-class production derived sports GTs, and Group 4 is GT4/TCR type cars, and if they have to BoP the McLaren F1 down 60 horsepower and up 400 pounds to manage that, then they will.

Not necessarily. Who told you they would release everything new they have available directly into GTS as time goes by?

I’m excited. The variable time/weather simulation looks very promising. The car customization is a big step up from any other game in the series, and the livery editor is improved as well.

Multiclass racing is something I can definitely get on board with, though hopefully the grid sizes make it worthwhile.

No point doing multiclass if it's only like 8 cars per class!
