And just like that, queue the proverbial throwing of toys from prams (no surprise there)
.
There was no promise or indication of there being any GT related news at this showcase, so quite how this is a surprise or let down I don't know. Besides, as history as shown GT has never been a launch title, mind there haven't been many A-list titles which have, so I didn't think that was going to change. The most important bit of information was the announcement of the PS5's price and release date, and with those out the way things look good, especially on the price front. It helps not to unnecessarily get ones hopes up for something, only leads to being let down more easily on the other side 👍.
I still think a Summer-Christmas 2021 (at best) release date is more likely for GT7, and one which make sense, given there hasn't been any updates on GT7 since the launch trailer, so why get worked up about something that wasn't promised?
In the meantime I find the positive in that it gives people like me more time to save funds for PS5 come GT7's release, and for any surprises (delays) we have become accustomed to with PD
. Otherwise I'm looking forward to DiRT 5 before then, could do with some more PlayStation orientated news on the DiRT front though.
