the hell?I thought there were only 3 peppers
They still look like wuss peppers... when does the Reaper tier get unlocked!

It looks unrealistically steep from some angles but it's not that bad when you actually drive on it.

Laguna Seca's corkscrew, Paddock Hill at Brands Hatch, the Mountain at Cadwell, Duffers Dip at Knockhill, half of Mount Panorama... there's plenty of extreme corners in real world circuits too.

Yes, “eat”. That’s kinda the small problem with these fruits because eating is not what Gran Turismo is about. I know there is a cafe in the game serving cars on menu cards, but still.

Black being hard (not bad) is the logic used on ski slopes. Weather forecasts don’t use black to symbolize something bad like wind intensity. It typically goes from green (breeze) to dark red or purple (hurricane), so GT could do that as well.
Technically black is used in the United States by authorities in a Tornado Emergency level tornado warning.

But now we are getting derailed.

Worth it though! Rather would risk upsetting the admins than let people get not the exact information.

Bro it's just representing how hard the race is going to be, you're thinking way too hard over this stuff
I know that. No reason to throw a lecture on me. At the very beginning I acknowledged it’s a small thing, but that doesn’t mean we should not talk about it.

I suppose the Sophy AI would be the equivalent of a tornado then.

Colour coding is boring, time to embrace a new chilli based ranking system 🤣
Each to his own.

Can you see the issue between the second part of that and the first?

They're literally serving up menu books in this game. The internationally recognised symbol for how spicy food is would seem appropriate as a symbol of difficulty - and I'd imagine a lot more people get Chinese and Indian takeaways than go skiing or follow meteorological data (and that's speaking as someone who lives in the most weather-obsessed nation on Earth).

There was a AE86 dressed up like Keiichi Tsuchiya's in one of the races
Was it the Shuichi Shigeno version? Or did it have the green bonnet/hood?

It says a lot about GT as a series that I didn't even flinch at the sight of chilli's. GT has always been about this weird quirky stuff. Remember driving on the moon? 🤣

In fact, the team were probably out having mexican when the UI designer brought up the difficulty system and Kaz glanced down to his plate and said "you guys I have the best idea".

Yes. That said, I always thought the GT Cafe was odd, but still a cool and cozy twist within this whole car resort theme GT7 has going. MatskiMonk’s point on color blindness speaking in favor of the chili fruits is also valid.

Fair enough.

Well. I have been on this forum now for a month or so, but I have to confess that something like half the discussions here are bordering on or beyond bizarre .....
Don't worry, I've been here for over 10 years and it was almost always like that when a new game was close to launch or had just launched :D

Red Bull ring climb

Exactly. I remember gtp had an interview where Kaz only did the moon thing because of the Chevy C7. It was brought forth because GM owns the rights to the moon rover. PD even got the actual topography from a satellite(NASA?). Can’t remember too much that part, but some of this stuff is crazy how Kaz does.

I could be completely wrong here, but I have a memory of chillis being used in a previous GT?!?!
I think IIRC something to do with drift score? like the better angles, speed etc? Maybe I'm wrong tho

I don't have a problem with it's videogameness, it just doesn't fit in the artistic style of the track location at all.

At Route X for instance, or any track in the middle of nowhere, it'd make more sense. But in the French countryside, we're supposed to suspend belief that someone would really build that? The original track was already pretty unrealistic with the highway wide roads but this takes it to another level.

It's not just the corner either, the whole thing looks bizarre and very much tacked on as an afterthought.

I agree something similar to Eiger Norwand with narrower roads would have made more sense. Alsace is the track I like the least in Gt Sport, is too wide and seems unrealistic.

I mean it's not a big deal at all, it's just one track variation I don't have to use too much, but it's just bizarre and so far away from what they used to do with fictional tracks.
It’s not the first time they made odd fictional tracks in real places. Does Eiger ring any bells?

Love how you can give cars a proper stance now. The aftermarket wheels always looked odd on previous games.
I wouldn’t call that proper stance. But it’s close.

Any sign of Lenny Ibizzare in GT7? Tracks like Vision and Eye of God are some of my favorites in GT Sport.
He's there, but he came up with newer material and his older songs aren't there.

Thank god Melancholia is no longer in GT7. The song was horrible, yes, but still more tolerable than "Ice Cream", or anything that

Black pink

comes up with nowadays.
