That's how progression is in real life though, broadly speaking. You will get thrashed in a kart race or Ginetta Junior race if you're not up to speed just as much as you will if you get to F1 and you're still not quick.

The progression as you know comes from getting to race in faster cars and compete and win more prestigious championships. That aspect already exists in GT, so I don't see the need to also tie the difficulty into progression, especially if you're going to offer what appears to be a global difficulty settings.
Yeah I agree with that, but GT doesn't really simulate any of the real world aspects of progressing through a drivers career... you're basically just clicking a different menu and getting a higher reward. The cost of that higher reward is a harder race. It might not be how it works in the real world, but it is somewhat intuitive within the confines of a game like GT.

5 laps of Tsukuba for 35,000 cr.? Not bad.

I'm seeing encouraging signs that this won't be nearly as grind-heavy as GT Sport.
In GTS, Amateur level Clubman Cup races paid 30,000 and the Gr.3. Cup paid 58,000. GT7 pays 35,000 and 75,000 respectively... so it does seem a bit better, but it doesn't seem to be a game changer for those that struggled with credits before.

PS5 version will run at real 4k... ? Or only upscaled?
DF already analysed the pre-release PS5 footage, it was native 4K.

Building its classic Trial Mountain circuit from the ground up, Gran Turismo 7's recent trailer shows PS5 reviving a series staple on cutting edge tech. A native 4K, 60fps, and ray-traced reflections are all on show, but it wasn't always this way. Tom takes a look back at how this circuit has evolved with time, from its first showing in the 1997 original to today.

Like gt6 you can now select what plays and what doesn't in terms of music, a feature sport needed, but transmission mode worked well enough. So even if that song was back, they could just deselect it instead of nuking the entire ost (and missing some of the daiki kasho remixes thayt aren't labeled as such for some reason but are clearly remade songs)
Pro tip to anyone who's going to be bent out of shape over a game soundtrack in 2022, just mute the in-game music open up Spotify in the back, doesn't have to be Spotify Premium, the ads are at a tolerable level, it's not that deep, etc., etc.,

@Stephan - looks like they shot that inside the Peaches workshop.

It seems like the PS4 version doesnt run at 1080p? is it just me because it looks closer to 720p

??? Why was this Reddit post removed? It was insanely useful for PS4 owners.

Not the poster's fault but all of a sudden it's gone

They've gone full tinfoil and commanded that any material that breaks the embargo (which is risible; private owners are not subject to the embargo) is removed lest Sony goes legal nuclear on the subforum.

Which is not how any of this works, but that's their business, I guess.

It's been clearly stated as 4K since literally the first reveal in June 2020.

2 days to go.whoop whoop.😄 Did anybody see in any of the streams if you can replay a race you have already completed?

I don't see why not. Twitch streamer was able to replay this race that he got third in previously to win the car.

Reviewers typically have 'press sessions' for multiplayer and the like to test some functionality out. I imagine Sony/PD rolled something like that out to help with the process🤞
You could ask Jordan, He could answer this (in the next few days)

What about gtp forum? Are we good? 😂

Do we know yet, from officially released information or leaked gameplay, if the two-player split-screen will function any differently than in past games? Has this traditionally been 30 or 60 FPS? I would love to see the ability to include AI, given the PS5's extra horsepower, but I'm not holding my breath.

There was confusion over this with the PS4 version of D2 Witch Queen:

Is pre-downloading/installing enabled on PS4?
Yes. I did so the second it became available.
This is confusing for me as well. I can only imagine that difficulty options that you can select from the menu apply only for the GT cafe challenges.

But this won't be applied to the races outside "GT cafe" like those with their own spicy levels. Difficulty on these events will be fixed and reflected with up to 5 spicy levels.

I guess it’s nice to see whar car you acquire and where. With a "limited" car list compared to GT6 and the limited selling/discarding capabilities that seems to be going on it’s nice to see what car to avoid spending money on.

Ultimately "embargo" might not be the right term for this situation, being on the safe-side seems to be like it - the issue is if Sony's copyright agents starts sending copyright takedowns to the subreddit since they already do on YT, Twitch and even Twitter for any "false start" stuff, it can kill the subreddit if they got too much complaints (just like too much copystrikes can kill a YT account/channel) as you mentioned.

Also I've been told that Reddit's administration is notoriously slow when it comes to notify a subbreddit's staff of DMCA takedowns affecting a subreddit, and hence why that's one of major reasons for the subreddit's decision to remove these content.

So question. Why hasn't GTPlanet been taken down as a whole yet with all the leaks so far? justps2games keeps streaming for hours. It isn't Sony reporting -- they have better things to do than strike someone playing the game two or one day before the embargo they never signed.

But GTP has been posting leaked content just fine with no issues

Enforcing an embargo on people that got the game early and want to share with the community seems backwards

I think they're only going to go after the source of the leaks (Youtube channels and Twitch streams) and not people and platforms who have simply reposted content from the source of said leaks. Simply because it's those Youtube channels and Twitch streams who have broken the embargo, not those who have shared it.

Someone directly posted PS4 screenshots from their own copy and it was removed.

So is that just changing the chili settings before the race, or is it an entirely different difficulty setting? In which case, it makes no sense?
I think he is talking about the "Assist" difficulty. It's not related.
