At the very least still gave an Endurance race in Daytona 500 or such with the NASCAR.To be honest, I'm not sure if implementing NASCAR again would be a good idea, even if we can assign custom championship races. I feel like the racing would be limited on the count there's only 3 oval tracks in GT7. Yes, there were road courses, but I don't see any of those, even the Daytona roval NASCAR layout in GT7.
There's Grid Starts (and technically, GT used chase the rabbit in later games such as GT5 while not doing it in earlier games than that, so technically the "old" one were the proper standing starts in GT)GT7 does appear to have a very old fashioned game play loop.
If it were better designed, the journey should be the game, like a proper RPG
The chase the rabbit formula is not exactly fun, for a car style RPG...
Still one/some step away from being full blown event creator as the next thing that should be added is creating Championships as well as saving the race or sending it online for people to participate. The option to make your own whole grid is a good, and finally something that is actually added though. So far, PD look to be providing us the tools for endless race customisation: cars-parts-liveries-weather-grid set up, etc. We’ll soon find out about the AI through more advanced players(Jordan, YouTube streamers, etc).
And this type of grinding doesn’t seem too bad. 35,000Cr
payouts gets low level cars, but a few of these races get players much faster cars. its not long to get some classics like the CSL. Casual GT players(not including Fresh to the GT series players) should have a good amount of cars with their limited time.
I guess this is the proper way, both the digital and physical copy users should have the same treatment.
