How is he wrong?
Because if you zoom in on the screenshots I'm already at level 50 and I've spent 33 million on cars so far. That does include a few doubles, I have bought a few cheap cars in the regular UCD after I reached 50.

One thing I have never been a fan of in GT is still present. You can take a street car and make it the same power, weight and PP of a similar race car and be several seconds slower no matter what. Just did some testing with this guy to get it into Gr4 spec and it's ~3 seconds slower at Maggiore than the Gr4 Genesis G70. The Z is just a hair lighter and has about 20 more horsepower. 🤷‍♂️

yeap, like I said from the early days, when I tried -and failed- to make a competent race car out of an old porsche 911 turbo,
its just the way polyphony does its programming.

and some guys still argue about total realism...

You're forgetting the value of the cars you've been gifted.
That is also very true. I don't actually know the value of the cars you get from the Cafe. For what it's worth, I believe I haven't gotten any cars from the roulette wheel. :D

Please don't blame the messenger, but you'd be wrong. :D

Yup, prize cars add to it too.

Every level that I've seen from level 17 onwards (and in fact all but one after level 11) has taken 50 more points more than the last. That suggests you need 54,450 Collector Points to reach level 50 - although that's not definitive, just an extrapolation. I'm only at 31 myself...

This would equate to a garage value of 54,450,000cr in total (if all cars had a round-thousand value, which they don't, so it will be more than this).

I can't quite make out what your collector point tally is in that image, but it looks like it starts with a 5.

Looks like 55,542 to me.

I'm afraid I wasn't paying too much attention to the points requirement between each level, but I'd say that's probably right!

I'm at 55,542 points currently.

After reading what people have experienced so far I’m coming round to the fact that I’m glad I didn’t go hunting for a PS5 when the game was first announced, apart from the fact it’s cross gen which was a massive red flag it seems lacking in so many areas as of now.. I’ll continue exploring the world in MSFS and wait for a proper next gen GT.. (may be a while )

You’re looking at 4-5 years minimum.

Sadly I think they removed them. I've looked everywhere and can't find an option to enable them.
There's an on/off switch in settings.

You can blame the lack of PS5's on store shelves for the cross gen development. 100% that was Sony's request.

This being PS5 only would've meant no GT on PS4, which would've been outrageous. Yea, I'm not counting Sport.
I couldn't get a PS5 either. But seeing how the game is only marginally better on it than the 4 Pro, I'm actually glad that I couldn't.

It occurred to me that I forgot to share my collector level, I think I'm at level 39 or 40. I was yesterday at level 38, but then today I bought that Porsche 911 GT1 and Ford GT LM.

Anyway, another update from me. I recently did some more grinding, but only a bit of it as I just wanted to collect some less expensive cars. I bought a 2nd R32 Skyline GT-R, mainly because I wanted one to modify while keeping the other stock (which is what I do in every single GT or Forza title I play anyway). I also bought the Honda S800, Autobianchi A112 Abarth, Mercedes-AMG GT-R, and Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZR1. Then, I did more small grinding as I want to finally get a Viper GTS and the Shelby GT350R.

While on the subject of grinding, I'm going to hold off saving money up for cars more expensive than 5 million credits. That's my limit on how much I will save up until more events get added in via updates. Hoping for an easier credit farming method to appear like what Famine mentioned in his article regarding Jimmy Falon.

I also might actually get into creating liveries again soon like I did in GT Sport.

I have finally caught up 40 pages worth of whinging and complaining. You know it's gonna be some good drama when one of the users has a banned banner on their profile.

I'll just sit by and wait for a year-one content release like I've always done since GT5. No rush to get into it and nitpick every single detail.

Everything will be fixed in due time. Give the game a rest and play something else. Better yet, some of you need to go outside and take a walk.
Congratulations! Your consolation prize is to reintegrate with society. Give your keyboards a rest, for now; they've earned it.

Unfortunately it's lacking, and the grinding has to continue out of fear that they're going to nerf the only reasonable way to make any money in the game. The event doesn't align with any other credit payouts, so they should elevate the others to be on par with the Rally event, or they'll reduce the payout and punish the players even more.

GTS got a bigger GT single player mode with docens of races.
Got only 80 cars less than GT7, 4 Tracks less than GT7, and have the same decals and liverys.
Why is launch GT7 being compared to GTSport with all its updates/dlc from 2017 through 2021 here?

I am so sick of the Porsche Cup menu book. I just want to beat it but it's either I get a rabbit car with super rubber banding or I get a downpour of rain or both. Almost tempted just to grind that American Daytona race and just buy the cars from the UCD... but I want them with 0 miles. :grumpy:

How in the world did you guys beat it?

Spent some time grinding, essentially filling out my garage with some duplicates to help with building out grids for custom races. I now have like 5 R32s all setup and tuned for 700PP, with all the appropriate Group A liveries. Got a couple old 911s. Handful of other cats that are era appropriate.

Anything that fits right and is based on a real race car w/ livery I can get my hands on. Used car lot limitation isnt helping. Mostly using what I already have in my garage.

Probably setup some lower tier cars at 600PP like a Group N and run some of those in the grid for some multi-class racing.

Game is a lot of fun.

I’m at work. Would someone like to say what’s new in the dealers? :)

Edit: Thanks! I’m definitely getting the Carrera RS CS!
