Sounds like a lot of fun. Rubber on gas works too?

Not sure, have not tried that rubber trick. I am a bit of a masochist at times, so I do it the "fair" way. Welp, tough weekend. Gotta buy Vulcan and 500 Mondial before that. Yeah, so much to drive.. Vulcan expires 1.59 am on Sunday šŸ˜Æ I want to avoid the math. But we`ll see, if I have what it takes. No Vulcan, I can accept. As a Ferrari fanboy, gotta have that 500 Mondial dou.

Well thank you PD for getting the servers back up! I could do my daily km's and now can go to work to do my night shift!!
I guess i'm thankful that they discovered the bug in the update and we didn't lose our saves.

As for the credits: i just cannot get over it that they actually pushed it through. So they want us to enjoy all the cars, but hey, we will lower the credits so i takes us longer to get that one car!

I just cannot understand the strategy of some of these companies.

They take away credits and we're supposed to say thank you now?

Also: there should be a law against online only games. If we would be able to still play most of the singleplayer content, there would be a lot less complaints about this.
What law though. You know what youā€™re paying for

No problem. I don't race ovals even normally, it's just weird. But I've heard it's popular somewhere. But I remember some games gave you credits for ovals even you used wall for steering. It was patched in Motorsport 7 later on.

I agree with you that games should not allowed to be online only (Unless its an all online game) but this law would be impossible to enforce. Think of games like RuneScape, Clash of Clans, FarmVille (If that's still a thing), AQ Worlds... Hopefully 1 of those games you will recognise. The point is that they all require a connection to online as they are online based games. You can't say "A game must be able to play offline if its loaded up through a browser or uses Java" Or "A game must be a able to play offline if its a console game" as then it isn't an enforceable law as people can just argue and say a console is a type of PC and just runs on a different operating system. Laws have to be solid and fall proof as possible. When a company makes a game fully online even the single player its always to benefit the company as its not good for the planet nor the consumer. All the Gran Turismo discs are now waste when the servers close down. They also do it so when they release updates like this lowering the credits people can't stay offline and continue to earn credits on an older update. Or if a credit glitch is found as well.
Also did you notice it was most of the races they lowered the rewards on. This was the plan from the start. So reviewers would say that earning credits isn't that bad. Now most of the initial sales have been made they have made the rewards terrible.

I can see it now....Coming soon to GT7, NFT's! Now you can own the digital art of any gran turismo car as an nft that you can view spinning around in your garage! No, you can't drive it, it's just an animated digital version of the digital car you have in your garage! Replacing all roulette wheels with NFT's as well as the fan favorite 2,000 credits! Coming soon to GT7 and the Hagerty garage! šŸ¤£šŸ¤”

I just went to open a livery that i wanted to finish for some time now, thinking they fixed the missing decals thing as they said and it's still bugged like before ā˜¹ļø

Speaking of which, is there any youtuber or streamer that manages to buy all cars available in brand central, legend cars, used cars? By using the microtransaction ofc. They are supposed to be rich, right? RIGHT?!

I am aware not all cars were available to us all yet, especially the yellow pennzoil skyline, not seen them purchasable until today.

Most YouTubers/streamers aren't anywhere near rich enough to dump ~$3,000 on Gran Turismo MTX. That's a ton of money.

The funny thing is that, if PD released the game in its state how it is now, people wouldn't notice or care, really.
People were saying the grind was bad before this update, now it's worse. People would absolutely notice and care.

I do hope future updates gives us better payouts for new events.

That's the kicker, they don't respect our time to begin with, as indicated by the payouts they have revised. Any new races they add are going to align with this minute payout scheme.

I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again.

This whole statement is so ironic. Avoid grinding only one race, so now grind the next best race, TWICE as much as before. What message do you think that's sent to casual players? I play pretty often and I would never waste my time buying 12M cars. So these rare and unique cars are never going to be enjoyed by players who would love to, but don't want to dedicate years to buying ONE vehicle, if they even log on at the right time that it's available to purchase. Don't get me started on not being able to sell said cars after I don't care to own them anymore.

Many probably can. But, that's sort of the last thing the fan base needs is a prominent figure dumping money on MXTs to showcase the cars for everyone. Sony gets a hefty bit of money off them & it might encourage others to just open up their wallets as well.

Many are plenty wealthy but let's not forget that they're not really getting anything out of that money either. Buying MTX is literally just paying to have a few numbers changed in your save file, you're not getting a product of any kind. $3,000 for nothing is insane.

Honestly, this update has made me uninstall the game. There's no point in doing any of the races anymore as they've nerfed the fun ones. This is the first time I've done it to a GT game within 2 weeks of launch. I tried to enjoy it, but the career mode was so lacklustre it just wasn't Gran Turismo to me anymore, it felt more like a gacha mobile racing game rather than a fully fledge Gran Turismo title. I'm going back to modded Assetto Corsa for my racing fix now.

If we look at it as paid game, you don't have access to the content, it's really absurd. I work for money to pay the game have fun with. But I understand the Stockholm syndrome gameplay. It has some good vibe. Still a bit weird without notice.
