That's a whole lotta WRC

Either way I was going to get a bunch, I don’t think I quite need 10 l (maybe 8 or 9 would be more reasonable) for personal use, but I got the full 10 for the trophy.

  • Replica of my IRL car
  • Castrol
  • Replica of the original yellow example that took me down the path of seeking one for myself IRL
  • One to try the wide body/max out tuning
  • One to try regular body and other aero/cosmetic bits
  • Two or three for replicas of fellow owners both local to me and in SoCal/San Diego
  • One more to try out some wheel and/or livery options on my IRL build

Totally reasonable :dunce:

I can appreciate the Celica, someone I work with has a red GT from 1995, perfectly mint.

Always my go to car in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero, and I always bought the mint green one in GT2.

Now if only we can get that ST185 RC model in GT7. 👀

I recently made a livery of the Bugatti VGT Gr. 1 in GT Sport (since the uploaded decals aren't available in GT7), so is there by any chance, a way for the livery to show up in my game, or any way for it to be transfered?

Whenever they add new events in the World Circuits, I do hope they add events like Japanese 90’s Challenge, Evolution Meeting, Tourist Trophy, Clio Cup, and Club "Z" to name a few.
And hopefully in a more organized manner. Seriously, it's such a pain to have to search all over the circuits to find the next event in the series that you're trying to continue. x_x;

The only thing left to do is to get an Import Guys plate frame decal for the front, and IRL finally install my TRD 205 front spats (I’ve had 202/204 spats for the standard GT/ST trims installed for whatever reason), and finalize my placements for my IG handles on the rear and left windows (it’s been too wet and cold to do that yet).

Less obvious adjustments I made are in the suspension. My car has BC coil overs so I’m running lower than stock. Eyeballing it I set the ride height to 110F/106R, and had to up the camber to 2.5° in the rear.

One thing I won’t be able to replicate is the fog light delete, and it looks like the indicators are a bit more red/not faded than mine. Other than that this thing is shockingly identical to the Celica sitting 50ft away from me in my driveway. I have an upgraded head unit and my trim is a bit more black than grey, but even the interior is the same in every way.

Another cool little tidbit in the aero/cosmetic options - the car has a rear tow hook as standard, and the additional GT7 options install in it’s place.

And aside from the diffuser and (obviously) custom wing, all the aero pieces are authentic Toyota/TRD/OEM options you could buy, including the Hiro spoiler/kit. The only popular/common thing you can’t get is the tri-post low spoiler that was offered on post-WRC, pre-reintroduced rally lifter years (I think 95-97). I’m sure many other Japanese cars share this depth, but this is the only car in game I have this deep real world knowledge of, and it’s really cool to see the depth they go to. It’s also a blessing that with a stock body you can still make the offset flush with the fenders and not severely sucked in to the rear fenders with the stock fitment, so I can go to town with trying out wheel styles.

*Edit: And even the brakes are accurate in that they aren’t very good, I couldn’t even get the brakes to lock on comfort tires.

Thanks for sharing this. We know how well modelled the exteriors are but to see the interior perfectly replicated was really cool.

I'm jealous that you can recreate your car in-game to the tee, but I am also extremely happy you for the same reason! A childhood dream of mine I get to experience vicariously. 👍👍👍

Has anyone bought an Audi R8 yet? I'm curious what kind of body options the car comes with. I'm really hoping they give you the option to add a GT wing.

Wow that's amazing! Thanks for sharing.

It's been a while since I did it so somebody might be able to correct me but I think you need to upload/share the livery in GTS (It has to be public). Then take the car to GT Auto on GT7 and it should let you import it if you go on open design/style.

Yes, except that you import it in the livery editor. This can then be saved as a GT7 livery. Styles consist of livery, wheels and custom parts etc.
