When is new patch coming ?
Most likely next week, but knowing PD, they might just release it a day before the GR010 event and then have another day-long server downtime. Like a kid doing homework in the same lesson it's due in for.

They fly their teams out to the cars, though. The issue likely isn't a matter of sourcing, it's licensing or the cars not crossing their minds to include yet.

Edit*
I think it's also been pointed out way back on the forum that in a previous game, one of the cars was modeled off a 1/18th scale car.

I also remember someone in the earlyish stages of GTS talking about seeing cars going through to the back of the LA studio. To get the exhaust sounds and other things I’m assuming? Maybe they do a combination of flying people around and bringing cars in? I never have been to their LA office. I should do a drive by one of these days. It’s only about 20 minutes from where I work… with no traffic of course 😂

It's entirely possible in an area like LA where they can find the best examples of the cars they're trying to model. But, it is most surely a combination of both with some of the cars in the game; for example, PD most definitely flew their guys out to model the famous #01R Ueno Clinic GTR since it spends 99% of its days in Woking.

I’ve had the game freeze again today where the audio carries on in the background. Second time it’s happened. It happened to Rory Alexander twice on his stream yesterday and once this morning before he gave up and moved to iracing. This is putting me off any sort of online racing. Just feel like I’m waiting for it to crash all the time.
He went back to GT7 for the last hour of the stream and admitted that he was probably overthinking the situation and knee-jerk reacting.

IOW, he temporarily lost faith that PD would eventually come through with the goods whilst also reminding himself that he endured lulls in GTS' performance only to reap benefits by hanging in there. GT7 changed everything for Rory too, making it possible for him to go full-time, so there's that.

Terence Lallave, who I'm sure would admit to being quick-to-react a lot of the time, switched to ACC for his streams 2 days ago. I'll bet my left leg that he'll be all over GT7 again as soon as the online stability and especially private lobbies are fixed.

My personal opinion is that these guys jumped a week too soon. If I were in their shoes I'd at least have waited 'til the end of the month / the next update to see what's fixed. That said, IMHO it's not a bad thing that this sort of thing's happening 'cause it'll remind PD of how-important the online component is for a great many users.

The fact it is rather late in the month is getting my hopes up slightly that it will be a substantial update ...
I'm expecting 6 cars (one being the GR010), one track and some of the events from the Jimmy Fallon gameplay video.

Just an observation here regarding the wide body and the new body option in GT auto.I paid for the new body option, thinking it would revert back to the non-wide body style, but not the case.Paid the 98000k credits and all it did was put the weight back to normal and remove the rigidity mod, this was on the Camaro Z28`69 so i dont know if its just this model or selected models.

It was already discussed. This option doesn't remove visual upgrade it is only for reverting weight reductions and rigidity. It is a little bit stupid but just PD things I guess.

I think if it's your job that you do every day and you're not having fun with it, then making a change is a reasonable choice. It's hard to be entertaining in front of a camera if you're not feeling it. Being grumpy is only amusing for so long.

If it were me I'd probably change to something that I was more hype about and then have one day a week/fortnight where I jump back to GT7 just to keep in touch with it and evaluate any changes. If it gets good again then switch back.

ALERT: Kazunori has logged into Twitter 👀

glad I’m not the only one checking his page for news. Jokes on me, though, as I can’t read Japanese, (I am a dinosaur who checks it on mobile via safari, so no translate option). Hopefully it’s not relevant, since he’s the only communication source for the entire project!

it’s notable that almost all of the responses are GT7 users, pleading for improvements. during the time the game was offline and the metacritic score was dropping, his Twitter replies were still nearly all supportive.

I decided to check my car count today in GT7 and figured out that I have 213 of the 427 cars collected. The good thing about this is that some of the cars I bought were the invitation-only cars and legendary cars. So, getting the rest should be easier.

Though, I don't have any of the 18-20 million credit cars yet, I kinda been skipping those as I honestly haven't desired owning any yet. Well, I want the Shelby Daytona and Ferrari 250 GTO, but there was other stuff I wanted more.

I recently noticed that numerous Cafe events are scripted to only play a limited selection of songs from the game's race BGM. Sometimes it fits well with the mood of the race, such as "sky high mountain breeze" for the Trial Mountain Cup, but other times it makes GT7's already limited soundtrack feel even more repetitive.

Honestly, the amount of Daiki Kasho in this game feels almost nepotistic at times. Thank God for Spotify.

Huh, I never noticed. Had the race music turned off when I was going through the cafe campaign. Interesting.

And, well, what did you expect? He is a sound designer for this game after all, not to mention pretty much eponymous with GT as a whole in Japan. Like seriously, they went all-in on that fact alone within the marketing for EXiNA's new album recently.

And, well, what did you expect?
I mean, Gran Turismo is traditionally popular music from a range of artists. This isn't like Final Fantasy where the music is original and mostly composed by one person or a very small group.

If Daiki Kasho wants to get on the same level as Nobuo Uematsu, Keiichi Okabe and Masayoshi Soken then by all means have at it, but at the moment it just seems like he's using Gran Turismo to promote his personal brand at the expense of having a broader mix of music.

I've been doing some more thinking about it, and I know I've posted about it before in a few other threads, but a refresher is always nice. Anyway a thing that has really been annoying me is the fact they've marketed this game as a celebration of the 25 years of series history. But when you think deeply about it, how can this be? What really makes this game a 25th anniversary other than the release date? What truly makes this the "most complete" GT to date when they have removed many major and minor features from the series past such as:

-Ability to sell cars
-Ability to see after-purchase credit balance before purchase
-Quick menu
-Shuffle racing
-Manufacturer races
-Login Bonus
-Seasonal events
-Stockcars
-Course Generator/Creator
-Snow tracks and snow tyres
-Point-to-Point events and tracks
-B-Spec mode
-Driving aid settings in 2-player split screen
-GT4-style loan/rental cars
-Time Trial mode music
-Time Trial mode credit payment

Some removal of features are to be expected, as they are no longer needed and/or evolve into other things such as scapes and the livery editor, but these ones listed downright did not need to be removed and should've been implemented and possibly even expanded upon if this was to be true to the "most complete" statement.
