After playing spider man on ps5, I have no doubts that PD will implement a raytracing system on par with the insomniac title. I loved how it was done in Miles Morales... the reflections are not too prominent but they help to "ground" the objects in the world, and in some places, it looks like magic! It's so nicely done. But I'm not hoping to see it in gameplay (maybe very limited), just in menus/scapes, maybe in replays running in 30fps.
Why not in gameplay? If they can hit 60fps with it, which should definitely be possible, I see no reason not to have it.

Well, the Spiderman working only in 30 fps with raytracing. In 60 fps it's disabled completely. I imagine something similar in GT7. It's just too power-hungry.

There's optomisation to be taken into consideration though, no doubt RTS will be far more prominent in non-racing scenes but given Spiderman is a launch title the odds are it's not as well optomised as games that will come out 6, 12, 24 months after will be. That's not to say we will see huge levels of RTS mid-race but we may see more optomised use of RTS than we saw in Spiderman. We do know GT7 is going for 60fps so it'll be good to see what they manage.

I guess PD is pushing PS5 hardware to max possibilities and they can maybe squeeze a 4k 60 fps combined with ray tracing, but then put max 20-24 grid opponents instead of increase it to 40 or more because too much cars is too taxing with ray tracing and 4k already.

There also maybe a optimized mode where the game try to be run with better perfomance and a bit less detail maybe. 1080p it's super possible with ray tracing and 120fps, dunno for 4k 60fps combined with ray traced. I think they should allow it to work with RT anyway. Especially with some good optimization

Julia was standing in front of a pit board at the end of the Asia/Oceania Final broadcast which stated GT L19 P3 on it.

Certifiable and undeniable proof that GT7 is coming out Friday 19th March! You heard it here first

Could someone please help me with some information, I'm kinda lost. When exactly are the world finals? Wasn't it supposed to be this weekend as stated here?

Yes, the online racing itself is this weekend (in fact I think it finished about two hours ago), but - exactly like the regional finals - it won't be broadcast until later. It's in the article that thread is the discussion thread for.

The EMEA final was on November 7, and the broadcast was November 22. Americas final was on November 8, and the broadcast was November 29. ASOC final was on November 14, and the broadcast was today. So figure on either December 20 or December 27 for the broadcast...

... but this is nothing to do with GT7.

Oh thanks. I wrote this here because almost everyone is predicting we'll see a new GT7 trailer on the World Finals event. But first I needed to know when to expect the broadcast.
I mean, if you keep an eye on GTPlanet's front page, you're hardly going to miss it. We've had an article up ahead of every live event they've ever had...

You're telling me that they weren't live? Why?

Interesting.

Take it as a grain of salt though because the post got deleted.

Something has changed in the PS5 Trailer.

Interesting. GT7 is no longer anticipated for the first half, or second half for that matter, of 2021. Now it just says "in development", which means a 2021 is looking less likely at this point.

The "for Playstation" part of the line is a also an interesting one. I see three possible interpretations:

1 - "Playstation" still means just PS5.
2 - "Playstation" means Playstation systems, which means both PS5 and PS4 are a possibility.
3 - "Playstation" means the brand. So any system/platform they make/want to publish their games on.

"in development for PlayStation" is so vague for literally no reason

Wonder if they really are gonna drop a PS4 version? The product page they've got up for it still implies it's a PS5 exclusive, so...

Alright everyone, I think it is time to panic a little bit :guilty::nervous::odd:. I think that probably means it got delayed...
Edit : how can they change something in a video that has already been uploaded? :odd::confused:
Edit 2: if they were to release a PS4 version of the game, I would be beyond disappointed because the game would be held back by a 7 year old console that was considered outdated even when it came out. However it's entirely possible. Here is what PlayStation's CEO said a few days ago despite the fact that earlier in the year said that "they believe in generations" :

“We do feel that we have a responsibility to that very large community, and an opportunity to carry on making great PS4 games for as long as the need is there, and I think that is the right thing to do, it’s the rational thing to do, and I think you will see a tail with PS4 that you did not see with PS3. But that said, as time passes, you’re going to see more and more emphasis on PS5 development and the PS5 SKU will be the lead SKU.”

In conclusion, he is an idiot

Playstation for marketing reasons wants to keep our attention. And first half of 2021 was a sensible answer I guess.

Polyphony on the other hand never said anything about GT7. Not even a special section on the official website. And now it's not even second half. They don't even try. It's like a delay announcement for me and we'll see a lot of articles about the first delay of a ps5 exclusive.
