I joined couple of local SSRX drag racing lobbies in GT7 and legit all i saw were C6 Corvette's, R35 GTR's and Hellcats. It's depressing. I'm fairly sure that i seen way more varieties in cars back in the Indianapolis/Top Gear lobbies days. I also really miss all the casual races and cruise lobbies.

It bothers me how they have all those premium cars from GT5/GT6 days but they still haven't included them yet. Cars like the Lexus ISF & LFA, Diablo GT2, Range Rover Evoque, several Mustang S197s, Ferrari's, El Camino, Nova SS, Cadillac CTS-V etc.

Yes, they require some work to update the models and such but the data is there, why not port them?

Yeah, i know licenses are a thing but I'm fairly sure they could deal with that already.

I also wonder if it's possible for Polyphony to get away with turning the Ferrari F2007, F10 and Mercedes F1 from the previous games into generic, fictional Polyphony cars just like what they did with the Lotus F1? Same thing with the old NASCARS they had, could they make like a fictional series or something?

ISF and LFA are a must. It's pretty sad when they only have RCF and LC500 as the road cars in the game.

They won't because faux lighting and still images are somehow better than actual 3D locations.
And plus that takes even more modeling work (photogrammetry). I could also wish for being able to Forzavista any car (the closest of being able to do so was the VR showroom in GT Sport), but it seems as though Polyphony would still have to model aspects of the car such as the engine bays, trunk and other such things.

At this point, i'm convinced that Polyphony made it online only just so they could crack down on all those hybrid mods/hacks and to force people into sticking with the latest version.

Rather annoyingly, they clearly spend some time and resource on moddling the various main menu backgrounds in GT Sport as well as the Brand Central Dealership, Hagerty warehouse and Cafe place. They could polish and detail those locations and voila, proper photoshoot locations!

Indeed they could. Let's not forget the forest from the GTS main menu. That place was beautiful and you can tell they reused a lot of those assets for the GT Cafe space.

I also miss the massive variety of cars I'd see in lobbies, especially in GT5. But I believe the only true way to remedy this is to massively bulk up the car list, which definitely isn't happening. At least not for GT7.

As for adding unlicensed F1 cars, I'd love PD to add one unlicensed F1 car from each era of the sport.

If it is the R30 thats pretty cool. For me,the porsche is a little meh and the less said about the other one the better. We shall see, needs more decent paying events before more cars though, just my thoughts.👍

No fantasy spaceship or re-badged duplicate already makes it better than all the previousc updates. 3 cars only is still disappointing though. Let's hope for more than 2-3 single player events....

The two types of menus that’ve been added post-launch has got me wondering what sort of new menus we could see. It would seem that the more typical menus have you collect cars through winning races. Meanwhile, the bonus and extra menus both have you only obtain a car (or ticket) upon completing the menu, as we can see with the bonus menu for the kei cars, and the extra menu for the Honda Type R cars.

So from what we can see so far, the bonus menus have you complete newly-added events, and the extra menus have you collect cars. (It also seems to me that some of the cars that you are tasked with collecting could be previously obtained from other menus, like the Toyota Corolla Levin.) In this regard, I could definitely see there being a Gr.2 (or perhaps more specifically, GT500) event be added as part of a bonus menu, while the Nissan Fairlady Z could be the theme for an extra menu.

The Super Silhouette may end up becoming a Gr.2, as it has similar performance to a GT500 car (around 550 bhp)
There’s a lot more to it than engine power for GT500 race cars especially the ones in the Gr.2 class. They have insane amounts of aero. GT3 cars have between 500-600bhp and yet they are considerably slower. It will either end up in Gr.3 or a heavily bopped Gr.4
