I find it interesting the mystery car seems to have a Gurney bubble, like the Ford GT40 MkIV. View attachment 1175536

The rear quarter panels, and hood also resemble a modern version of the MKIV GT40. I'm going to make a crazy (and maybe silly) guess that its the Ford GT Vision that hasn't been heard from for awhile, that also happens to be a tribute to the 1967 Le Mans win.
If this turns out to be true, I will haunt you.

You already tried all cars?

Cars is the last problem! Like truly the last one. I would pay for not having more cara but lots of event of all kind pushing me to try different cars in different combos on all circuits worh time and weather on.
I drove most of these cars in GTS, so haven't gone out of my way to pay millions for cars there are no events for. Which is why I say this game needs a boost in every way. Meaning not just cars, but events, tracks, and whatever else we're lacking that was in previous GTs.

Where are...
seasonal events
track creator/editor
GT league
All the supposed "future proof" cars that were in gt 5 and 6.
Probably more stuff that I can't think of right off.

Tbh i can't understand many things about the gran turismo community, to me it feels toxic, i don't know why, but hearing ppl complaining for everything is just annoying, it feels like people lost their patience in everything, which is the reason why in games like FH5 you can drive any kind of car just after some hours of gameplay, me, as someone who loves chilling while playing (creating liveries, talking scapes, discovsring things im the museum or just starting at beautiful cars), doesn't have this problem and i'm happy with what we get.

I'm also extremely happy with that skyline as japanese motorsport lover.

I want to finish with a question: are there other racing games that add three or more cars plus one track per month???

On those datamines...

Yeah, saw that coming. Now, I might be playing devil's advocate when saying this, but the datamine leaks feel like something Polyphony deserved for being so quiet about GT7. I mean, they choose to stay quiet constantly and left fans more and more angry in regard to each choice they made in terms of updates. Put that together and some people take matters into their own hands by looking into the game files themselves and leaking them for the world to see.

As for the silhouettes. I thought the middle car was a Jaguar XK120, the front fenders and rear trunk area give me XK120 vibes.

I was thinking 918 Spyder though for the left car

I don't doubt it but there's no source there. Statements like "Some copyright claims have been made" should include proof when you post it.
Nenkai is very hush-hushy about these things because he wants to stay under the radar, knowing the consequences to the game code for future preservation should GT7's server life ends. Anyway, go to the YT channel where the new layouts were published (they're doing this highly exposed, btw) and you'll notice they're gone now.

to me it feels toxic
This is a rather overused word, but also doesn't reflect the fact that gamers generally have been pretty awful for... ever.

"Toxic" refers to something which poisons its environment. The concept that something can poison gaming is risible; while far from exclusive, people who identify as "gamers" openly perpetrate just about every -ism you can think of.

I don't know if you have ever tried being a woman (or trans) in the gaming space, but if you've ever wanted to collect unsolicited photographs of men's genitalia and comments about how much people would like to rape you, that's a surefire way to go about it.

Most gaming communities are the worst (well... maybe second behind the anti-everything Q nutters, and there's quite the Venn crossover). GTPlanet isn't because we don't allow people to abuse or insult each other, and we don't allow people to just make stuff up; we do however allow people to have opinions.

If that opinion is that three cars on its own is enough for a GT7 update, that's fine. If that opinion is that three cars on its own is not enough for a GT7 update, that's fine. If that opinion is that the people who hold the other opinion are stupid/blind/fanboys/homosexual (this happens a lot more than you might think, even in 2022), that's not fine.

It's not "toxic" to hold a negative opinion on something. It's "toxic" to allow abuse, insults, and fabrications - eventually the community just becomes who can shout the loudest and nobody wants to join it because nothing on there is reliable and you get abuse for saying so.

People who don't get this often refer to GTPlanet's staff as Nazis when we hold them to their promise to abide by the site rules (which is required at sign-up; you can't join without agreeing) - since, as we know, the Nazis were big on allowing people in without discrimination, having fair rules, reminding people of the rules when they fell foul of them, and allowing them to leave freely if they so wished.

That rather justifies our rules for us.

In what sense is it different? The car shows two higher sections with a rearward plunge in the centre and the join where the two separate roof panels meet:

and my stupid brain farted again. Doh! Because I clicked post that comment while forgetting to add what else I had to say about the left car.

Anyway, another idea I had in my head was that it was a Saleen S7, except I forgot that the S7 had an airscope on the roof. It's just that the rear spoiler on it reminded me of the S7 and the front fenders. Though the hood on the Silhouette is too clean to be the S7.

but yeah, it's probably not it. I just really want a Saleen S7.

It's way too early to call it that and I'm not buying the roof being different. If you're referring to the bubble, it's what Famine said above, that is probably the rearward plunge where the roof panels meet. You can see on a 918 that they look bubbly on the roof.

Another thing that keeps me thinking it can be a 918 are the rear spoiler and front fenders, they look very in-line with the actual car.

I've never said that the others' opinion is wrong, i think you misunderstood, i'm just saying that it could be said in a more polite way.

Anyway yes, the roof from this angle is the same.

Shouldn't GTP respond to the whole datamining debacle? Some people, and one in particular, seem to want to demonize GTP for not censoring discussion on it and it's probably better to have a more firm stance on the matter. It's a pretty big deal after all with PD actively taking action against having their stuff exposed.

Sorry to say this but I think this sounds a lot like GT Planet right now.

As far as I'm aware, GTP has always held discussions regarding leaks and cut or prerelease content. I remember discussions about the inclusion and leaking of the Nordschleife even in GT4 before it was confirmed.

I don't see why this should change now, its not like GTP is leaking anything, they're just holding discussions within the forums and publishing what's already published.

Considering the main leaks are coming from here from certain people, they should be recognized as the source aswell.

I wouldn't compare offline games to leaks pertaining to the latest version a live service, which for the first time ever, they took action on certain pieces of it.

But it's looking like they are happy with it considering how evasive they have been with not just that post actually, already.
