Nope… nothing like a Caterham, even the 90s and earlier versions with the clam shell front mudguards don’t melt into the body like that, the rear is too long for a 7 style vehicle,

I’ve spent 25years of my life around Caterhams and 7 type vehicles in road and race form
yeah see ya point........................specsavers ?

Since I forgot to buy a membership voucher card, my PS Plus membership has expired. So to kill the time while I get a new one, I have been building cars for the WTC 700 grind which I've been doing for the past two days.

In an attempt to run something more realistic, and fun (looking at you, RedBull Jr users), I present the latest beast:

Lancia Delta.jpg

VR38-swapped Lancia Delta. Restricted to 571 HP and 528 ft-lb of torque using the factory turbo. Fully weight reduced at ~2430lbs (forgot the exact number). Racing Hard tires.

Running it on full Lean (Fuel Map 6), 25% fuel consumption per lap, netting an average of 3.4 laps per tank, 22% if it rains. On average, it takes 6 laps to complete the race, maybe just under if it rains. On my tuning runs I had torrential downpour on about 80% of them.

Quickest lap time: 4:10, slowest (heavy wet tires): 4:25.

Still working on the setup, specifically the transmission, it tends to bog down around 190, 192 mph. My very first attempt at tuning it, I managed 201 mph without a tow on the Mulsanne straight before the first chicane, and 190 by the second chicane. However, after tweaking the transmission, I can't seem to get the car to pull as it used to. I forgot to save the first transmission tuning, because the rest of the tune was abysmal; it understeered heavily.

Also, to skirt under the 700 PP limit, I had to run factory brakes which makes it, dare I say, almost true to 80s motorsport braking performance 😂

Overall it's a blast, easy to drive, balanced in the corners, and planted under braking.

I heard of the series for a number of years now but it wasn't until 2020 where i decided to bite the bullet and buy Yakaza 0 + Kiwami for 5-10 bucks each.

Spoiler alert, Zero is now among one of my most favourite games out there. Currently took a break from Kiwami 2, planning to finish it someday.

Yeah, i have mostly stopped playing GT7 aside from the occasional uploads of decals and such. The june update brought me back into the game a little bit but i ran out of interest within' few days.
Iam a massive Yakuza fan and played the entire series up to date multiple times. Not a fan of 7 where they went to turn based combat, totally ruined the game imo. The two judgement games that are spin offs of Yakuza are awesome to. I only play gt7 now when new content is released but after an hr I've finished it and back on the shelf for another four weeks, it's depressing.

Which bit of France is it that you live in that creates this weird two- or three-day delay between things being posted on GTPlanet and you then posting them on GTPlanet?

Agreed. I prefer photo travel to scapes.
Scapes has the advantage of easily adding a variety of locations, but the camera angles are fixed and you don't have as much freedom to take photos as in photo travel.
Sometimes I would load the mode up to just to admire the cars! PD needs to jump on the ForzaVista stuff pronto!

Now they add that when I stopped playing Sport Mode. Could have expressed my anger much quicker back then.:sly:
