Is Nurburgring ?

I really wish they stopped NOW using GTSport for VGT reveals and announcements like this.

PD, this game is old now, ok keep supporting servers as the GTfans are still playing but use the newer build for GT7 and the power of the PS5 Dev kit to explore the limits visually and technically.

Scapes and raytracing won't work. Raytracing only works in a full 3d model. Scapes are just a picture with a bit of depth information.

Wouldn't the Ray-tracing reflections work as they do in 360 environment maps like in CG rendering?

I don't know much about RTX in gaming Since Scapes are basically Environment maps.

Well, yes, but that's no different to how reflections were done before. GT Sport also does reflections in scapes based on an environment map. (GT4 did this in photomode already)
It's just not a very accurate way of doing reflections, which is visible in places where the car is very close to the thing being reflected (e.g. the ground).
As @Nowax stated before, though, self-reflections on the car will work, and they don't seem to be active in these screenshots.

Kazunori posted this on his Facebook, could be GT7? Cause it looks way better than anything in GT Sport, especially the reflections.

They're definitely using the GT7 renderer for the virtual stage and cars.

Looks great, must be GT7 you can tell from the GT Sport graphics and obvious Ray-tracing in place.

However, I seriously hope outdoor on track it will look as good since it looked poor and current gen on the reveal trailer.

Edit: Notice how the cars don't reflect each other??

Ah so I'm not the only one thinking that 👍

I think it's just CGI.

Anyways... i'd love having that t-shirt, it looks fantastic tbh, it's something like retro style :P

Oh lordy, Look at KAZ, even he looks CGI in this scenario.

Would nice to have more driving legends like Ken Block, Keichi Tsuchiya or Chris Harris giving us Licenses tips or driving school tips in GT7, another dream idea I hope could be included!

Are you sure you want that? Remember zombie Jeff Gordon?

Not a scape, they did a 3d model of the stage Jimmy and Tom used, along with the outside of the building like gt5/6 phototravel locations.

GTsport cars don't have ray-traced self reflections.

That tree trunk looks so odd in that flat terrain texture, i don't know why they don't use some Santa Monica or Naughty dog tech for terrain textures and vegetation

I don’t think they spent much time or worried about polishing this temporary FIA stage tbh. Even the area lights that are supposed to light up the building are facing in the wrong direction, and other parts of the building are lit up with no light source. So there isn’t even much real-time lighting going on, all of the lighting and shadows are baked into the textures. Quick and easy.

Along with that virtual stage, it looks like Moon Over the Castle is back as the GT anthem as well. I know they usually play it for the Manufacturer's Series, but they played a new short arrangement of it right before the Supra Cup began.

High chance of it being the opening song for GT7, I'd say.
