Gonna be honest, this doesn't feel like a game 220+ people are working on.
Because it's not. In game development once a title ships typically most of the staff move on to the next project (GT8), which will likely have a ~4 year development cycle. GT is a bit different than regular game development though, in that some of the staff can be shared between projects - most of the 3D modeling team, animators, sound, etc. They are able to continue modeling assets at a high polycount which can be shared between GT7 and GT8. However it's very likely that the majority of software engineers are now working on things for GT8 like upgrades and optimizations for the game engine, new physics calculations for a PS5-only title, etc.

Ok hang on can someone PLEASE explain to me why everyone in the site thinks Red Rock is coming back? I just got told about this

The pattern continues...

March update: No track
April update: Track variant (Spa 24)
May update: No track
June update: New track (Watkins Glen)
July update: No track
August update: Track variant (Catalunya short, no chicane, RX)
September update: No track
October Update: Track variant (That small forgettable Nurburgring thing)

October has a track, probably a new one

They don't. One guy who perpetually posts random made-up stuff as sub-primary school collage images posted it as a random made-up thing, and pretty much everyone treated it with the contempt it deserved.

Of course a handful of people will always be confused by things and were confused by it. Which was probably the intent of the guy who perpetually posts random made-up stuff - and who will inevitably react to this post with a "poo".

Edit: Oh well.

October Update: Track variant (That small forgettable Nurburgring thing)
If the pattern continues then October should be a new track entirely. Although we only have one prior example.

Welp, if a new track is out, my personal hope list is for a return to 1.15(?)FFB….albeit with a little more cowbell, baby.

Lobby improvements and a couple endurance events would be nice too

Take out 20 of the modern cars and you could call this game GT5/6 remaster. I like the added old cars but come on man add some newer models also. The car list is soo outdated and behind in terms of modern cars that it feels like a remastered old game. The lacking cars from brands like Audi, BMW, and any other major brand is really frustating.

Just a note that the person who did the fake collages also did the same on Reddit (to the point they posted screenshots from polls from there) to the point that they also got banned there.

The most obvious cars PD are stuck with since GT5 are:

Ferrari F430
Maserati GranTurismo S
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

We're all experts on game studio workings now are we?
Nope. But the outcome by PD is embarrassing. For your main title since 2013, 3 new circuits and after 7 months since the realese 1 nee circuit.
9 years since your last decent gt mode and is totally incomplete, no sense. Using 1/10 of the available cars. Circuits without events. Dynamic meteo like it doesn’t exist and so on.

They wrote an emotional letter of excuse after the mess in March saying they listen the community and that’s the result.

Do i need to keep going?

Edit: oh do u want to talk about the license test totally useless? There are event that require the B, the A and BI but not for all the others? WTF?? They forgot or what? First time that happen in 25 years

Never said the game was perfect. But the keyboard warriors pretending they understand what the inner workings of the studio post release are, amounts to silliness really. I strongly doubt anyone here can do better.

Sorry if it's already posted but i just saw this 😯

Hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Only wishers.
If we're honest, being a wisher is basically hoping RNGesus actually notices you for once (If ever)
Apricots smell more substantial.
I would agree, though I'm also partial to the winds of the Mid-Field.
Misleading and incorrect "leaks".
Misinformation spreads wildly.
Throw in some wild photoshop and it only gets worse.

If there was ever a developer that has been the least responsive to keyboard warriors, its PD

I'm surprized that there's still talk around Apricot Hill. I love the circuit, but the "find your line" teases for circuits that actually came back were from a track map top-down angle. The ones that looked to resemble parts of Apricot Hill were at a more dynamic abstract angle, leading me to believe that it really was just a coincidence. There's also the matter of Apricot Hill not being found in a datamine list (even the expansive ones that include Mid-Field & Eiger Nordwand etc).

The one speculative reason I can think of for a potential Apricot Hill return in the future is that it was brought back in GT6 with an overhaul, featuring both dynamic time and weather options, so the developers did care about it enough to update it before.

On a side note, I hope that we get a return to Tahiti in the future too. The inclusion of scapes there is a nice callback

I'm more fond of the cool Tahitian breeze 😎
That would be part of my A-ranking, assuming I know what exact track you're talking about.
Lord knows they was the best at it back in the old passionate days. Imagine all those tracks in these glorious PS5 visuals, a dream that may never come true unfortunately.
I know, they would look amazing. Well, assuming PD didn't try ruining them with modern FIA style shenanigans like they did with Deep Forest and Trial Mountain.

I’m somewhat over old fantasy tracks returning. I was super hyped for the ones we got in GT7, but I end up just never playing them. I think they have aged poorly and feel out of place now. The newer originals are vastly superior.

Generally don’t care that much about made up tracks these days. More real world circuits is what I want. Watkins Glen was a fantastic addition.

Give me something like Kyalami or Zolder next pls.

we got lobby fixes , new events and possible fix for suspension glitch ?
