Random but I have come to hate the circuit experiences. They purposely give you a bad car and track combo and/or make the times for gold near impossible with controller. A glorified time trial with artificial difficulty isn't exactly what I think of with the word usage "Circuit Experience".

Let's look at the first circuit experience a player will likely do - the Northern Isle Speedway. They give you one of the worst handling cars in the game on a beginner track and on, like said, the first circuit experience most players will do. Since the track is open from the start this means most players will be inexperienced with a lightweight race car since at the start of the game players are driving mostly slow front drive economy cars.. Like WTF PD?
The circuit experiences are run using a car that matches the nation where the track is. For the most part, anyway. Nothing to do with matching "the right car".

Try telling yourself that.
I got a good laugh considering he is one of the most vocal people on this forum and doesn't own the game. Like he is literally admitting it's just too grift at this point. Like yes tell us how you feel, a few hundred time's over the span of ten years while knowing doesn't listen. If this isn't an admission of grifting then I don't know what is.

You guys obviously missed the joke. He posted those exact words in response to people airing grievances, I couldn't resist throwing it back at him to show how silly it was.

You don't post on a discussion forum because you think it will change anything, clearly he actually agrees.

EDIT: Also you should probably check again what grifting means. Pretty sure I'm not swindling money out of anyone.

Here’s a weird one. Just noticing AI cars have varying mileage. In the Human Comedy Deep Forest Mission, at the start, the third placed A110 starts with 20kms on the odometer. The Silvia TC has 33kms. A ZL1 has 8kms. An R34 has 11Kms. A Slophy has 14kms. Others start at 0kms.

Whey would AI cars have more than zero kilometres?

We need this event series. Along with the return of the Peugeot 905 and Minolta 88C-V.

Group C Series - Limited to pre-1993 Gr. 1 cars only

Watkins Glen - 8 laps - 250,000 Cr. for completion
Monza No Chicane - 7 laps - 250,000 Cr. for completion
Mount Panorama - 6 laps - 240,000 Cr. for completion
Tokyo Expressway East Counterclockwise - 6 laps - 240,000 Cr. for completion
Le Mans No Chicane - 3 laps - 220,000 Cr. for completion

Oh, and here's another one:

'80s F1 Challenge - Limited to the F1500T-A and MP4/4 only

Monza No Chicane - 10 laps - 360,000 Cr. for completion
Brands Hatch GP - 13 laps - 350,000 Cr. for completion
Spa-Francorchamps - 8 laps - 350,000 Cr. for completion
Suzuka - 9 laps - 340,000 Cr. for completion
Interlagos - 12 laps - 320,000 Cr. for completion

Payouts might be a little off, but they sound right to me.

More to the point, why such run-in kilometres? Practically factory fresh cars.

Τhese are the 'right" track package for Group C. Not the stupid St Croix....

We also need IMSA GTP's such as their version of the Jaguar XJR-9 (with shorter rear section and wing), Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo, Toyota Eagle Mk. III and even to an extent, the longtail Porsche 962 C, given that since Polyphony has an IMSA partnership, it would make sense to start adding IMSA content such as their cars and tracks.

IMSA 300ZX, too.

What gives me hope for Group C/IMSA GTP aero options is the recent MP4/4 F1 car. Quite a few very minor aero options available for different track configurations.

The XJR-9 needs a high-downforce rear wing and sprint light nose option. Used both in Group C & IMSA GTP. Likewise the 962 needs the long-tail option and air-cooled roof intake. Oh, and the Mercedes C9 high downforce aero!

I’d be happy to see the Peugeot 905 and Minolta Toyota return before thinking of anything new to the series.

Hermen Hulst has done an extensive interview with Famitsu in Japan. While discussing Japanese 1st Party studios he says this about PD & Gran Turismo.

*Deepl translation

Polyphony Digital for the "Gran Turismo" series, Team ASOBI for "ASTRO's PLAYROOM", and other partner studios will continue to publish games in Japan as PS Studio. Gran Turismo 7" has become a great title in terms of showing the power of PS5 to everyone, and we will continue to expand this IP.

Hermen also talks about the ‘live ops’ issues in GT7 in another interview.

In March, Sony’s live ops effort with racing game Gran Turismo 7 hit a snag after it had to correct an unpopular update tied to virtual car prices. “We’ve got to listen and learn and react quickly,” Hulst says of the experience. “That's what we're learning.”

I knew Sony was really involved in this. Hope we get a nice game, end of its lifespan. They probably decided to do the whole 3 cars a patch thing to support it long time

Stop pretending like you don't know what the modern colloquial use of grifting is in online gaming forums. You just admitted you believe that PD does not listen, so all of your criticisms are just here so other players read them. You also admit you don't own the game so your criticism isn't based on a product you own or paid money for, which would be a valid feeling as if you got misled or the product is subpar for what you paid.
You literally just come on here to tell other players how you feel about a product that you don't own over and over and over to the point it has begun to annoy multiple players. This behavior would be FINE if you believed that maybe PD listens to your complaints and such comments may better the game, but now you have openly admitted you don't think they do. At this point, the sole reason you come is to vent these opinions to a community of people who have told you hundreds of times they either don't care or are tired of hearing it.
GTP does not have rules against this and has a nice ignore button, but because so many people reply to your same old criticisms and the fact you turn threads like that of the undocumented changes into a battle zone by complaining instead of helping us by reporting undocumented changes ( how could you even do that, you don't own the game), it's impossible to get away.

" A griefer/grifter derives pleasure primarily, or exclusively, from the act of annoying other users, and as such, is a particular nuisance in online gaming communities. "

We get it, you think Granturismo 7 IS a mediocre game with a poor economy, **** AI, crapy progression, lacks events, low payouts, a sub-par physics system, with a poor implementation of mechanics such as the custom race feature, roulette, and engine swaps. I also think you feel PD is out of touch and is way behind on adding modern cars.

Did I miss anything? Do I need citations? If I did I will just go back and find them easily and or stick around and find out because the criticism keeps coming non-stop.

Constructive criticism is fine, there's nothing constructive about bringing it up hundreds of times.

PERSONAL OPINION:
Catalunya autocross track is a such waste of time and space...
I tought that autocross was something fun.... but in this form is something torturous...
Fully agree. I found the races hard - not sure why? But I ended up cheesing the races by using the Suzuki Escudo as it's vastly overpowered.

Anything new to report guys? Are we hopeful for the option to sell cars before the end of the year? My gut feeling is that we'll get the standard monthly updates but maybe something special around Christmas just because it's the holidays...I don't have any evidence to back this guess up but it's a hunch.

Unironically always excited for GT Christmas.
I love the jazzy Christmas music, and with the way PD is I can totally see them making the world map all snowy, maybe with christmas lights around.
Omg! I forgot about the Christmas music! It's a nice touch to the game for sure.

They’re far from impossible, on the contrary I think they’re quite appropriately ranked. Keep in mind though that they’re supposed to have mass appeal but also not be too easy for top players, it’s not that easy to nail. That said though, it could’ve been cool with a “hidden” developer or diamond type time above gold.

While I do agree with the rest of your post, "outsider's prespective" and "bandwagoning" are things that exist.

Literally never heard of it.
You just admitted you believe that PD does not listen,
Again, I didn't. I used his exact words against him. Then I said nobody posts on forums for the sole reason of thinking the subject will read it. I never said I don't think they do read it.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. The point was nobody posts solely because they hope PD are reading and listening, whatever they're posting.

..and what is you whining about my posts doing for the forum exactly? Plenty of people agree with my posts, plenty of people disagree and debate my posts, like any forum. You just seem to whine and complain and attack me personally.

If I had to guess, I would suspect that the developers use something like the custom race function themselves to construct new races and add cars from their garage. The tool saves all cars including the mileage when added ... and that's how it ends up in the game.

Hmm, I’d have to run another race and check the names assigned to those cars. Would be interesting if those names do correlate to the PD staff.

Because it's in every thread and the same thing over and over again. If you don't like let me go post that in that form in every thread just so people know. I'm also going to go into the project car's two and I racing threads just to tell people how much I dislike them despite never having played them.
