Huh, didn't know this! I always thought it was based entirely on the complexity of the track. Guess this means engine swaps are more than just a novelty for me now.
There are a few factors. Your own car's PP, the difference to the AI's PP (all 500 is worth less than you in 500, AI in 900), the length of the race, and the number of cars in the race are all factored on top of the difficulty settings.

Haven't done the Porsche extra book and not sure I want to actively go outta my way for it. I have 2 of the cars, only missing the 918 which is on my list to buy, but only because I actually want that car and not because some dumb book says I need it.

Question, what color exactly is the blue on the S14? I want to paint mine that color in GT Auto, but make sure I got the right one.

So what has everyone received for completing the Porsche Menu?
The Escudo V6 for my Evo X. :P

Quite a challenge to get it to cooperate with the 5 speed gearbox the Evo has due to the Escudo’s high boost threshold, if there was ever an engine that needs an Anti Lag system it’s this one. :odd:

I got another R26B for that ticket and yes, the S14 is excellent. Very smooth and for a game, a controller user like me, it communicates everything very well. Can slide the rear, lift off throttle for tighter turning, sounds good, awesome from cockpit view, the exterior, just fine as stock and it takes to light customisation or full on race car spec. Have eight of them in various states of tune(no drift car though). It’s a perfect companion. Really really wish I bought a real one years ago.

It has come to my attention that the payout of Custom Races are based on the stock PP of your car.

So, using the new rotary-swapped Cappuccino to decimate Gr. 1 cars at Route X, I've been paid 31,000 credits for each lap, or 46,500 with a clean race bonus. With each lap being 4 minutes long, I can make almost 700,000 credits per hour.

Which is nowhere near the best-paying events, but unprecedented for custom races.
You can actually take things much further than that, at least in terms of performance disparity between you and your opponents. You need four wheel drive car with as little PP as possible. The Jeep Willis works just fine. With a set of Comfort Hard tyres, it has 193 PP. Next, you need a Group 1 car for which you haven't bought any Heavy Wet/Intermediate tyres. Lastly, you need a track on which you can drive in the rain. The Nürburgring 24h layout is the one with the highest payout.

Just set up a 1 lap race with constant torrential rain and assign to all 19 AI opponents the Gr.1 car with no rain tyres from your garage. Adjust the custom race settings as you usually would to drive up the reward for winning (Start from 20th place, set rival difficulty to Professional, you know the drill). The AI can only choose from tuning parts you have bought for that specific garage car, so if you never equipped it with rain tyres, the AI will be forced to race using the completely unsuitable racing hard/medium/soft tyres. As a result they will only do 80-90 km/h at most (in order to avoid aquaplaning) and you'll easily get past all of them over the course of the race. I got paid 77,609 Cr. for coming 1st, which didn't include the Clean Race Bonus (kinda hard to get while making your way through the field on a completely drenched track). Due to the duration of the race it's nowhere near a fast money earner, but it might be an interesting thing to experiment with. Who knows, others might find more than I did :)

Random but I have come to hate the circuit experiences. They purposely give you a bad car and track combo and/or make the times for gold near impossible with controller. A glorified time trial with artificial difficulty isn't exactly what I think of with the word usage "Circuit Experience".

Let's look at the first circuit experience a player will likely do - the Northern Isle Speedway. They give you one of the worst handling cars in the game on a beginner track and on, like said, the first circuit experience most players will do. Since the track is open from the start this means most players will be inexperienced with a lightweight race car since at the start of the game players are driving mostly slow front drive economy cars.. Like WTF PD?

They also removed one of the best features from GT Sport which was the voiceover video that talked you through the lines and braking points. Right now they're just glorified license tests (which pay a lot tbf)

I just have one thing to say myself. I HATE TOKYO EXPRESSWAY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S RAINING AND THE GAME GIVES YOU PENALTIES! 🤬
So, I cooled down. One thing I'll say is that the Ford GT40 trick on Tokyo Expressway is probably doable, but I'm clearly not the driver for it. I can't keep that thing from sliding in the first time, I keep sending it in a wall. Also, had bad luck with the tire wear on the final lap.

Because it's not. In game development once a title ships typically most of the staff move on to the next project (GT8), which will likely have a ~4 year development cycle. GT is a bit different than regular game development though, in that some of the staff can be shared between projects - most of the 3D modeling team, animators, sound, etc. They are able to continue modeling assets at a high polycount which can be shared between GT7 and GT8. However it's very likely that the majority of software engineers are now working on things for GT8 like upgrades and optimizations for the game engine, new physics calculations for a PS5-only title, etc.
Yeah but the problem is that the game doesn't feel like 200+ people worked on it before it shipped either.

It get easier after many races. It's all about going smooth in the second part of the track.

Have you tried the Huracán? So far I think it's one of the most stable cars for this event.

Yeah, it’s like getting ready for school, but the dog ate his homework.

Interesting he speaks of communication, but likes to keep out of sight. So that answers that for me.

The one teak for 25 years is possible, but is it feasible through this length of time? If they keep the game at its core, sure. When, as he says, likes to do many projects at one time, it’s better to spread that around than do it all himself.

Seeing the classic GT footage is fantastic.

I believe it's the Blue Emerald Pearl.

Talking about the S14, who else is finding this car to be extremely pleasant to drive? It's so smooth.
Even in stock trim it feels so nice to drive. Fully tuned it's still really smooth and seemed docile.

Is it worse than 13B Capuccino? I lose patience driving that thing in Tokyo, snap oversteer everywhere and the braking distance is awful. Gets the job done though, maybe I just need a more proper tune.
