am i the only one who unironically enjoys gt7? It has its own flaws but is a great game
The driving gameplay is superb, I come back just about every day to do time trials (though I'm still waiting for custom time/weather in tt mode). The replays are beautiful, and there is no doubt in my mind this is the best car photography game yet made.
However, to get cars, you need a lot of credits, and to get credits you need to play the campaign, and unfortunately the campaign was released as a bare-bones tutorial with not even half as many events as the afterthought GT League added to GT Sport, and so I finished it in six days.
Since then, rewards for the then-highest-paying events went two steps backwards and one step forwards, and four longer races that you might expect to find in the late stages of a GT game were added in April.
The May, June, July, August and September updates have added only sprinklings of early-game races, alongside major price increases for classic cars, and PP system tweaks.
Nothing has been done since April to address the lack of an end-game, and there's no official plan to do anything.
Ideally, we'd get a major overhaul with many more championships to utilise what the game has.
Pessimistically, GT8 is funded, but stay tuned to GT7 each 28th of the month for nothing in particular, in the meantime, if you win Spa 1hour, Tokyo 600, Le Mans 700, and Sardegna 800
110 times each you'll have enough money for most of the cars.
