Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

IMG_3410.jpg

well it's not the greatest thing in the world but it's ok for the price 😆 not going to put it on the momo wheel for sure

Impossible to say because it's entirely down to your preference and strength. Personally, I often to set it at a level where it's not that easy to achieve 100% brake output, as this helps prevent brake lockup in cars without ABS, but of course you need to balance this over long term comfort etc.

@LOGI_Rich, what brake force on the base would you recommend now that I've swapped out the elastomer?
try 35-45 I find that range works well across everything I play. try and take note how the brake pedal readout on the wheel translates to brake pedal travel in each sim, I find not all sims read it 1:1

Yeah I've currently got it set to 35, pressing the pedal it's not easy to achieve 100% braking.

Any further news @LOGI_Rich on when I can order the Momo Rim in the UK 🇬🇧 Saw the bulletin mentioned early this week but assuming the payment provider hasn't gone to plan so far

Yep, Will says it far more eloquently, but basically what I said. It's all personal and based on you and your setup. For me at a desk, 30-35 is probably about right, but in a rig I would max that so easily. For a rig I'm usually at around 50-60.

I have a Trophy rig and i’m using the hard yellow and red elastomers, brake force 58 on the settings. (And simagic haptic reactors on the brake and throttle pedal).

Immediately makes you 0.5 seconds faster…

That sounds awesome, sorry if you posted this already somewhere here, but: could you let me know what you need for that?
I guess simhub, the haptic reactors and maybe these https://simracemods.com/products/si...l-reactor-mount-for-logitech-g-pro-gpro-g-pro ? ah and probably the simagic power supply and the control box?

Guys do you think it's possible to use a longer USB cable (around 4 meters) from the wheel base to the PS5, will this cause any issues.

Thanx.

How are the wheels in general? Do they feel different FFB wise?

Mine are coming friday😃
This will be long but that’s because it’s worth talking about!!! You don’t have to read it. It’s just more of me raving about the Logitech G pro ecosystem. But for good reason

I’ve been having fun putting all these pieces together. Waiting for the 2025 release was worth it. They nailed it. Period. They have delivered 2 super high quality real racing car wheels for the RS hub, just like the real wheels they sell. You will not be disappointed. Even though it’s a wheel in your home sim rig, it really does bring a sense of professionalism and class and some small amount of immersion. That may sound stupid, but when you hold the previous wheels they feel like toys comparatively.

They feel great! Can’t see anything in Vr, all just feel of the grips. But between races it looks cool as hell! Superior fit and finish as you would expect from Momo. Ultra high quality thick suede, it’s def a Momo factory in house made wheel. Everything is stitched and finished perfect on it. Worth the cost! The 320 is substantial in all aspects. Big diameter, perfect for any car though. I tested in daily race C in it was a great GT wheel. In VR you forget it’s a big round wheel.

The grips are nice and thick which felt good. Of my 4, this wheel has the most substantial grips. Plenty of room for your thumbs in the notch. Nice contour on the heel of your hand. It is quite heavy, but doesn’t seem to matter much. Very grippy with gloves, it just feels right.

290 wheel is GT star. It’s very very speedy. It is a true track star. Very lightweight, you can rip it counter steering! Suuuper grippy, no hand sliding at all with gloves. Between races it looks badass, it just looks like it’s ready for business. It’s touch smaller than the RS track wheel and it blows it out of the water as you would expect in every aspect.

While the grips are much thinner and you can wrap you hands around the back and really lock in. Lots of room for tour thumb on the notch. Toward the top feels little too thin but not a problem. The track wheel was kind of flat on back, help your fingers flat. And track wheel the thumb notch was tight. 290 is just so much more comfortable. Fit and finish again is top notch. It’s all wrapped, seamed and stretched perfectly. It is a race car wheel through and through, just extra holes in it for an RS hub lol. It just feels right.

They did not make me faster yet 🤣 but that’s my issue

Last the true force. This accidental occurring for me just proves how amazing Trueforce is. I turned everything on, 320 wheel and enter qualifying. First at rbr I slam the brakes and turn in hard, rear end slips just a touch on the exit. Pause, headset off. That was weird the shakers on the pedals were not fully working when I hammered the brakes. And when I kicked the back out, I felt some slip rumble but not like normal. I felt rumble in the 2 seat ones too, but again it felt strange, not as strong.

I’m looking over and see I did not have simhub open on my laptop. None of the 4 shakers were on. true force on the wheel was giving enough vibration and detail to the point I thought shakers were obviously down on power but still on. Nope.

I forgot to order one more RS hub before the site shop went down. And then I think that’s it!!

I’m using either a 6 or 10 foot extension on mine without any issues. Note I’m still using the OEM cable connected to an extension connected to the back of the PS5.

- You need the Simagic haptic control box

- USB-A to B Male Cable (see below)

- Custom pedal mounts, got mine of ETSY (Simracemods)

- And of course simhub and play around with the settings/feedback

sweet! thanks, just ordered (the box seems to be sold out everywhere until mid february)

So I have not given my final verdict on my G Pro yet.

I had to swap out my "rig" first. I was using the old playseat challenge, but unfortunately the pedals don't fit on there.
Now I got the newer playseat challenge Logitech edition or whatever it is called and everything is greta and still foldable.
Ordered it yesterday and it came on the same day (Logishop take note...)

In short - I love it.

Everything is better. The breaking feels amazing, but was/is the hardest thing to get used to.
The throttle has a surprising impact. Because of it being more precise and overall stiffer it almost feels like having some TC going.
No more spinning out of corners.
Force Feedback und TrueForce are amazing. I have the force set to 3 in GT7 right now which is barely 4nm(?) and it feels plenty already.
The wheel itself feels amazing. From the packaging to the documentation and every part of the product everything screams QUALITY.

If I had one complaint it's that the button and dial layout is maybe not as intuitive as it was on my G923 in VR and I think a proper D-Pad would have been better than the short stick they went for.

Lastly a shoutout to the G923. Yes, the G Pro is better in every regard, but having used it now and having experienced the top range I have to say that the G923 is a fantastic product as well at a fantastic price.
It gets you 80% there. The remaining 20% will cost you roughly ¢1.000. If you have the cash and are on the fence - do it.
If a G923 is the only thing you can afford - you're in good hands.
