We can agree on that, but you're missing the point that they've deliberately made it harder to grind credits in that event because it's the most used event for grinding rather than adding more high paying events people can enjoy instead.

Ah, yes.

On that we can totally agree.

I still think there's nothing wrong with 'fixing' Tokyo though.

As I have said I play Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon, Assetto corsa and Competizone, the crew, formula 1 games, dirt and dirt rally, and there’s just something about Gran Turismo, it’s rich history, yes I’ve been here since GT1, and I am a pad racer, to me it’s just “Special” yes it’s not perfection and we need more iconic gt tracks

Yeah, I'm the same. I try most series, stick with a few but even on Assetto, all I'm really interested in is finding the recreations of old GT tracks and trying to find cars from GT2 or similar levels of everyday road cars or JDM oddities. On Forza I sometimes make reproductions of old Race Mods, too.

There really is just something about GT that transcends how good it may or may not be. Craft might be the word for it - everything feels crafted.

It's in the soundtrack, but not playing in any menus yet. I'm guessing they'll activate it later down the line.
If GT5 and GT6 are anything to go by, It should start playing later this week (If not Thursday or Friday, probably Saturday).

I have a bunch of racing games myself but I think I play GT7 the most. In spite of it's numerous issues

I know from the patchnotes that XMAS music was added to the game. Has it not been deployed yet or did it just not come up in my game yet?
Don't expect Mariah Carey or Chris Rea etc on the playlist. I've listened to some of them, they are horrendous

Ok i finished sesonal offline Suzuki Escudo World Cup race on 1st. Was quite fun. But i wonder are there any tips for the other group 3 race?
I think car selection is a key one here. I went with the Nissan GTR as it has a FR layout and (for me at least) easier to drive, especially when the track is slippery.

So because the weather around Spa is constantly changing, it's hard to give a sure fire strategy, but what worked for me was having one that I could adapt on the fly.

RM tyres and FM1 pitting for a fresh set of boots and fuel around lap 7. While it did start to rain on and off, it was never raining hard enough to justify intermediate tyres. However if it had rained harder at any stage, I could've boxed for wet tyres and I think the AI are great in the wet anyway (you can always adjust the fuel map to lean to limit the power your putting down, reducing the chance of wheel spin)

Keep and eye on the weather radar and if there's heavy rain incoming, it's typically worth staying out for the lap after it's starts raining before pitting. Chances are you'll be much quicker than the AI on this in-lap and make up a huge chunk of time.

I'm still under the impression that there could be a future implementation of part trading with other users in a form of online marketplace. Would explain why items have what the game calls a "recommended retail price", implying that we could set our own prices with that figure as a reference point of value.

MLB The Show has a marketplace where you can sell player equipment and they could made it work in the same way.

The way the game feels better on a pad and improved over gt sport, some of the cars are so good. It’s just all special, the licence and circuit experience can be challenging gold times but the game wants you to learn and do better, you keep restarting then Sarah tells you take a breath and it’s ok keep going, you get smoother and faster then bam!! You get gold and also on my friends list which has super gt on there I have been at the top I’m not sure how I would say I’m above average, also the community are amazing the designs, race suits and cars etc 🤩 😯 just incredible. I wasn’t sure where I should write this please move gt planet (Also gt planet are the best I love this page and reading ad learning etc) I can’t wait for movie and I remember when interviews with Jann etc about gt academy, and hopefully we get more events like the world finals stuff and more single players racing too, also I love the cafe it’s quality and so good and love also the intro scenes to the world endurance racing I have done 600 and 700 the cut scenes there so good. I have been playing gt 7 a lot the last few days and enjoying working through the cafe etc. thank you for reading this everyone and Gran Turismo is special and Kaz is a very intelligent man 😃 🚗
With other games I spend so much time trying to set-up my pad to feel like Gran Turismo, I always end up returning to GT. Driving is the core experience, if this falls short, be it physics or controls, it can never be a fulfilling experience. It's why I can spend a full weekend perfecting a Time Trial, or put time into tuning a car, because even the smallest mod can change the cars on track feel.

YES! This is why I stop playing games like Need For Speed Heat after I complete the story!

haven't played much in the last few months, but every time i've jumped on it seems like tuning settings are neutered even more. has this been addressed at all?

with the lack of a career mode, tuning cars was the only element of single player that had much appeal... but with no test drive option i guess i have to constantly start/restart and fiddle with settings between races?

If its "work as intended" why it does it only happen in tokyo and not in sardegna or le mans?

It's something they call 'a challenge'.

I'm currently playing another game on the side (not racing) and guess what? Some levels are harder than others.

I think considering the reward is the highest for any race, it's appropriate in a gaming sense that the difficulty should correlate. Or am I missing something?

Yes because le mans wtc700's variable weather conditions are not "a challenge" at all

Recommended retail price is a standard term in the car industry, including parts. Its because manufacturers sell to dealers at wholesale price and can only recommend the retail price from a legal perspective. memo explanation is simplified here !

This pesky GT cars now I know why P1 drivers hate them. :yuck: I don't know why cause I only need 1 pitstop while they need 2 to 3 so I'm gonna win just base on that.
