Anything that means I can sort the garage by miles driven without the list being mixed up with UCD cars gets my approval.Just delete UCD & Legends, everything in BC.
Imma go out on a limb here and say your Porsche GT3 would be first on the list regardless.Anything that means I can sort the garage by miles driven without the list being mixed up with UCD cars gets my approval.
Funnily enough it is 😂Imma go out on a limb here and say your Porsche GT3 would be first on the list regardless.![]()
For good reason as they think the car sound was very real. What caused this change of heart anyway? And they will never fix the shifting sound so it's not enough.Imagine going back in time to the vacuum cleaner era and telling people PD got hired to help make engine notes for a real car.
Nobody would believe it!
Only reasonable hope is that the chili races, that has better AI, has grid starts.I thought the development on the Sophy A.I. would signify that the next GT title would be more challenging with its career mode tbh.
It would be kinda funny and tragic if all of that effort was made just to make the sophy A.I. do the same "chase the rabbit" instead.
GT6 did that and nobody acknowledged it (also after UCD in GT5 with 30 cars to buy from 800).Just delete UCD & Legends, everything in BC.
I didn't mind that GT6 allowed me to buy any car in the game and didn't have a UCD. Also, GT1,2, & 4 did NOT have that feature. You couldn't buy every car in the game under dealerships.GT6 did that and nobody acknowledged it (also after UCD in GT5 with 30 cars to buy from 800).
Also did you hate this feature during GT1, 2, and 4 too?
At the beginning of GT7, you are required to use the UCD to buy your starter car, albeit frozen with a fixed line-up until a certain early menu book starts.I'd like to think, in 202X when they turn the servers off, they either make everything available in the dealerships (which would make it more replayable) or at the very least make a fixed rotation based on system date or something. But the precedent is the GT Sport Mileage Exchange cars, which are just straight up unobtainable now - which makes me worry that they might lock out the ~20% or whatever the percentage is of cars that aren't in Brand Central when the time comes.
The timing might just be right for Asetek SimSports to take over. Last year it was announced that a console compatible wheelbase is set to be released in 2025, whether that's Xbox or Playstation is yet to be confirmed though. Both Asetek's hardware and software are considered as the best out there at the the moment, right up there alongside Simcube, so a Gran Turismo partnership would be something special.Given what occurred last year, one wonders if this will similarly have an effect with GTWS (and any other Sim Racing deals moving forward). And if so, who's replacing them for the World Tour? Thrustmaster or Logitech?

Ah, I missed that bit of news. Bummer for PS5 owners! This was confirmed to be Xbox in November:

MS makes it significantly easier for hardware manufacturers, as the license chip can be placed in a wheel rim, while Sony requires the chip to be placed in the wheelbase itself.Ah, I missed that bit of news. Bummer for PS5 owners!
+1I like the idea of older cars only being available used. It’s quintessential Gran Turismo.
I think the used car dealer in GT7 is missing something though, compared to previous games. Like the dozens of variants of the same car that there used to be. I kinda miss that.
Tbh I can kinda see them doing this lolIt would be kinda funny and tragic if all of that effort was made just to make the sophy A.I. do the same "chase the rabbit" instead.
Dozens of variants? As in duplicates? That's what people hate about GT too, though newer GTs get more blame for this.I like the idea of older cars only being available used. It’s quintessential Gran Turismo.

This is also what I wanted for UCD long ago. Modified sold cars. Hope this can happen following them also counting the fitted parts when selling cars in GT7.+1
What I feel could have been done to create more variety in the UCD is having used cars with custom wheels and body parts fitted. Maybe even a basic livery like some of the offline races oppenents "wear". Or even go as far as having the actual styles from those races pop up once in a while like the unicorn-ish black race cars in the GT4 UCD.
Bit of wasted potential imo. The way it is now, there's nothing really special to hunt for, apart from all factory color schemes that you can't even customize with your own license plate or anything. In the current scenario, it would make more sense to have all cars in the game available at the same time. Even more so when going offline.
Including many more duplicates in the game with models with slight variations, or directly the same model with different regional names, I don't think would be well received given the complaints this behavior has raised in previous games.I like the idea of older cars only being available used. Haha, yeah I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I always enjoyed it. It's just slightly nerdy I suppose. In GT4 for example, there's RX-7 Type R's, Type RS-R's, Type RZ's, Type R Bathhurst R's, and so on.Dozens of variants? As in duplicates? That's what people hate about GT too, though newer GTs get more blame for this.
I would personally love this to make a comeback, too. GT has always been 95% the cars and 5% the racing for me, anyway.Haha, yeah I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I always enjoyed it. And you have similar with all the Skylines, Z's, Silvias, NSXs, Civics, etc. It's mainly only the JDM cars that got this kind of treatment. And then you go into the tuner village and you have all those models too.
I used to enjoy testing them against each other to see if I could notice any difference. With the more detailed physics of the modern era I'd find this even more enjoyable.
How everyone wastes their time in Gran Turismo is totally different though, it's all horses for courses.
Just a reminder that Sophy is not developed by PD but was a project by a different team of Sony itself.I thought the development on the Sophy A.I. would signify that the next GT title would be more challenging with its career mode tbh.
That would mean the races have to be longer so you can spend 1 or 2 laps preparing to pass each opponent car."race IQ" and "waiting for the right opportunity to pass"
Well I do want car families too though I think there can be cases when this goes overboard like all regional differences, I think for that one I want for different badges or LWD/RWD option.Haha, yeah I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I always enjoyed it. I'm sorry but i don't really think you know what you're talking about, to keep polite.I think GT7 as a base is just fundamentally broken.
The thing with adding trims is right now we get roughly 3 cars a month in updates, so each individual car gets a lot more spotlight and reaction than they would if they just go in at the start of a game (or to a lesser extent GT Sport's big initial updates, the 2016 Clio could hide behind other things in a way cars in today's updates can't because Sport was content-light so had way more things it needed to add).Haha, yeah I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I always enjoyed it. GT7 is such a glorious game that even GT4 gets put to shame. Everyone who still sticks with those old games with crappy graphics clearly don't have their priorities right imho.
I've put 4000+ hours in GT7, got every car in every color because i work my ass out doing the Tokyo 600 race. PD really hit the nail PERFECTLY with the career mode, no other racing game EVER had, or will do better than GT7.
I don't understand all the complaints about the AI, it truly feels like you're racing true opponents.
Even in custom races - which i think it's the best feature ever introduced in a racing game, a true genius idea by Kaz - you can have such a fun experience that the other racing games -and also older GT titles - can only DREAM about.
Honestly, if you have the audacity to criticize GT7, go play forza.
I wish!!🤣🤣Hi Kaz!
That's true, which makes it more tragic however. Yes, it was made by a different Sony team, but it was made in collaboration with PD since it's using GT7 as a test bed. Even including it as options for various tracks in arcade mode.Just a reminder that Sophy is not developed by PD but was a project by a different team of Sony itself.
With that dont count on it being the default AI for any oncoming racing game.
And especially dont set your hopes high that it would change the startup formation.
I unironically hope that if I bother with one of the upcoming weekly challenges, the part I particularly get is a Stage 5 Weight Reduction kit. That's probably the most valuable part you could win, too. Granted, the actual value of it depends on the car it's for, but it's still probably the most valuable item. I'm pretty sure I had at least one laying around that's worth 500k credits.
