Does anyone know if there's a more usable decal search site yet? That old "manony failure" site was golden. Really not enjoying the built-in search in GT7....

The website at least also shows decals that contain your search term in the name or description and not only the tags. But other than that I guess a better search is also a victim of the locked API.

100% agree there! I appreciate the fact they now sort by Most Popular and they display 100 per page (not some random allocation of display depending on the amount of popularity as used to be the case) but that it's now locked to only one page display on through the website is just madness. I get they're trying to keep people immersed in the game itself, but since people have to do other things in life and be away from their console for large parts of their day, it doesn't make sense to limit the peripheral functions in the game as they have here.
Any idea why they decided to lock the API this time around?

Is it not possible to put a decal on the front window? I'm using the Supra '97, appears fine on the back and part of the side windows.

Did you actually apply it to the windows or on Body 1?
Also no decals go on windshields and front door windows.

Only rear side windows and rear windows. Windscreen banner is a separate option.

Had a go at a drift car - got ultra-pissed off when the game crashed during my first attempt, and there's several 'replacement' decals, and missed the tape on the front lights, so might update it.

I've finally managed to motivate myself to do a proper Super GT car that I always was kinda scared of doing because of the billion small sponsor stickers they run and my struggles with properly placing a lot of (small) stickers.
But I think it came out pretty decent, what do you guys think?

You know, the thing that baffles me is how hard it is to find pictures of race cars to base a livery on.
Sure, for the popular championships it isn't hard like DTM, 24H races,...
But my idea was to create liveries based on smaller championships and even in the day we live in now, with camera's all over, it's just insanely hard to find 2-3 good images of a car to clearly see all the sponsors and such.
Was hoping to find lots of photos of the Porsche Cup (recent and from past years, local championships or better known), but I'm giving up... Clio Cup, same. County based GT3 championships, same...

Twitter and Flickr are probably your best bet for stuff like that.
Also imagine my pain trying to find photos (and sponsors) of cars raced 30 years ago

I'd second what Nuschel says, Flickr, the teams/drivers socials, even the major sponsor socials, the series website galleries... I think they're better bets than relying on google.
Personally I've probably got loads of photos of the Clio Cup UK and Porsche Cup UK, because they support the BTCC... I just rarely bother uploading them anywhere.

I've found the best way to track down more detailed pics of the cars you're looking for is to use Instagram. Find the championship or league you're wanting to start with, choose a team or car. From there, you can either visit the team's account (if they have one) and then the driver's account (they usually have one). I've found this is really helpful with some of the competitions where you've got dozens of cars entered - like the Nurburgring 24h over the weekend I managed to track down the team and then one of the drivers for the Dacia Logan that entered and completed the race, a long old way down near the back of the field!
Teams often have more marketing-style images, so they're action shots, usually quite zoomed out. Drivers often have more close ups and detail shots where you can see the sponsors
