Most will know the more popular international racing colours, Red for the Italians, blue for the French, and of course British racing green. So what about Sweden? As it turns out it was a two tone scheme with yellow on top and blue on the bottom, and featuring three blue bands going across the bonnet. Between that starting point and now this livery morphed it's way into a fictional Swedish entry for the '68 Spa 1000KM... No, I don't quite know how it happened either.

Surtees' '66 Can-Am season winning livery on the first Ferrari prototype made after he left, because the idea amused me and I'm still lacking in proper Can-Am cars PD...

The retro livery you never knew you needed! A concept by 811 Design on the Taycan which I've developed further in the game and I'm pretty happy with the end result!

I have a question to ask the decal uploaders/livery creators but a good friend of mine has become the victim of the 'censorship' trolls and has three of his Touhou decals censored so they cannot be used in game.

Has anyone noticed/found this is becoming more of a problem with GT7's library section, it makes me reluctant to contribute if censorship is now going to be the thing the trolls of the game get a kick out of doing.

The decal in question is still perfectly fine over in GT Sport here, I attach link to show that there is nothing 'offensive' in my view about this now censored decal.

A question loosely linked to the livery editor: do we have a limit on how many decals and liveries we can add to our collection?

In my opinion this sticker is perfectly fine and does not violate any rules.

At GT Sport i was also reported (& PSN banned) several times because of my stickers. This mostly happened after winning online races. So there are probably other driver venting their frustration like that. There are now 3 options for your friend:

1. only race online with friends
2. race online with a separate account (where nothing is uploaded)
3. just let the others win

Is there a database with HSV accurate colours ?
Don't know but i use google to find out a brand color code and when it's available from somewhere i use this to know the HSV colors code.

Finished this one!

Big thanks to legends @krisduv and @Nuschel01 for helping me out. This was a fun project, don't think a lot of people use the 350Z but my SuperGT 2005 project is coming along nicely :D

Also did this, was a walk in the park compared to the Z.

The car itself is way more interesting than the livery: it's almost a Honda NSX in a Ferrari body.

I finished this today, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. IV RM replica from the first 2 Gran Turismo games. One thing that irked me about working on this though was the wing. For some reason, the bottom part of it is put under "other" instead of the wing part. I don't get why PD did that. and putting vinyls on the rear wing completely wasn't an easy feat because the decals wouldn't cover everything, it was a nightmare. I ended up placing 4 decals just to make the wing completely red.

Brought back what was probably my most used car from GTS, before the Nostagia races. Logged over 3000 miles doing custom races at Nurb 24 with this car. I call it the Budget Racer, and is a really fun car to drive, with not a ton of mods. Of course I gave it the GT7 treatment, with the widebody.

Only started making liveries in GT7.... learning plenty as I go.

Here are some of the liveries I am most proud of as a complete novice.

Not sure how to link my liveries to in my signature.... or should I say, not sure what link I should direct my signature to. Any pointers would be great.

Feedback on liveries would also be welcomed.

Thanks all.

I'm a novice and the Mini was my first too and this work you have done looks amazing. It's the skew part that is most difficult. The hardest part for me was recreating the apparently simple Gulf winged stripes ( or so I thought ) on the bonnet and above the front headlamps. The area where the window wipers are. PD need to make it easier to place and position vinyl there.

In my experience over the past few days I was seriously trying to figure out what shapes to use most of the time. I wish you could duplicate any shape from say "Body 2" area of the car and transfer it to another area like "Roof". But you have to totally recreate a complicated shape in another area of the car. Also I wish you could just easily change "Add layer Above" or "Add Layer Below" after layers have been stacked. Instead you have to select a new shape each time.

Also why can we not add special paints to shapes or patterns. For instance I had to vinyl wrap the whole body to make it blue, leave the actual car paint orange. There are some areas and parts you just can not paint and you can't paint the car powder. It's either Solid, Metallic, or Pearl. And all decals end up being glossy, semi glossy, matte or powder.

Anyhow I had lots of fun doing it. Bit I think the livery editor needs a lot of improvement and simple features adding. I even had to rotate shapes because the game doesn't even even set everything to a correct angle. There's degrees within degrees of a slight press of the analog stick. I trying to doing really simple stuff first.

I can't create my own .SVG decals though, having to resort to search for already made sponsor stickers from the community. I don't have the skill I don't think or a steady hand to recreate shapes on PC although having never tried it.

The livery editor is very simple but allows you to create some pretty complex stuff - yes it would be nice for additional features like duplicating a skewed/rotated shape into another part of the editor, but maybe the coding to do that would increase complexity unnecessarily?

Unsure. 100% agree on the special finishes on the decals. It would also be amazing if they would add a feature where you could control the finish of each decal - so you could have a chrome base layer with some gloss decals and some matte decals, for example. We could achieve some pretty epic results then!

I've found creating basic SVG's isn't actually difficult once you learn how to use the auto-trace features in Inkscape. But there's definitely an art to it and the more complex decals require more understanding of the programmes limitations, etc.

I became premium member today so I could more closely match my PSN ID.

Does anyone on GT7 make any good UK number plates for a Racing Mini ?
