Gran Turismo 7 Livery Editor - General Discussion Thread

I've been wanting to do a retro TRD livery, but it didn't click until I started playing with stripes on the Gr.3 FT-1. The unusual lines of the car made certain areas a real challenge but I'm happy with the result.

Ok here's something that never happened to me before.
I've just shared a new livery, and I wanted to make some photos in a custom race.
The livery looks just like it supposed to in the livery editor, in the garage, in the scapes mode, on the website, basically everywhere.

BUT on the custom race, I have metallic blue wheels :odd: instead of the standard ones.

That is weird, more so because your livey has black or dark grey wheels.

I can download it and try it out in a custom race to see what happens?

Altho seeing how GTA got updated today, i might not find the time.

I've been getting sucked into more livery contests, this one from GT Community Designs weekly contests. This one is inspired by Hublot Sailing Team's boat design.

Very cool! The yellow-and-black is giving me strong Iron Lynx vibes… it makes me curious to see how it would look in Iron Dames’ colours.

Just wanted to share this. I was grabbing other people's liveries today and editing them for use in my Miata custom races, and came across this one. I figured this would be a single decal on the hood. I was surprised to find out that the person who made this livery had used over 100 decals to create this character from scratch using nothing but GT's standard decals. 😳 Completely bonkers.

In Forza Motorsport 7 people would recreate Iron Maiden album covers on the Holden Sandman using just the in-game shapes, and make it look accurate at that. It's amazing what someone can do with skill and patience.

Have you guys ever tried to create a livery for a car that maybe you don't even like it that much, but then you spent too much time on it anyway?

It's not that I dislike this car. I think it's a pretty cool design and a good addition to the game. It's just that imo there's other Gr.3 cars with better handling and sound.

But anyway. It's finished. Still have to do some minor tweaks here and there. May not look like it, but took me more than 4 hours. :ill:

It's hard to paint the splitters, but it's somewhat easy to paint those individual things in the diffuser

The idea was to create something similar to the original Genesis Gr.3/Gr.B and Hyundai racing cars

I'm happy with this design. Now I might as well rack up some miles with this car. It's a fun car! On Sardegna you can go for 2 stops at laps 6 and 12 or 1 stop using FM. It's an easy win there.
